Very easy to find what I was looking for, thought the sale was good. My only compliant is one item that was on back order with 3 letters written next to it which was unreadable. I had to call up Village Green for more info , lady taking my call was very helpful checking on my item and letting me know when to expect it. I cannot say enough good things about these people! They are flexible, prompt, thorough, communicative, attentive, and they have NEVER made a mistake or made me play monkey-in-the-middle with my provider. They save me so much money and time and effort and gagging on numerous big capsules each day, AND the compounds they use are superior quality to what I could buy anyway. They also carry a wide range of other supplements that can’t be compounded- so it’s a one-stop-shop! They ship fast, too! Love love love. Will use them for everything I can forever. My only complaint is that they are on the east coast and I am in Oregon so calling in at very specific times is important otherwise I miss business hours with the time difference.

I refer to the nutritionists at the Village Apothecary as biologists, because of their educational backgrounds. The store is uncluttered, but has ample resources, including books. The Grain Brain and The Toxin Solution are both must reads! The nutritionists pointed them out to me. Otherwise I never would have known about this body of knowledge. This place is a gem!

I have been ordering supplements from Village Green Apocethary for many years, and until this year, I was very pleased with them. This year things changed.In February 2020, I went onto their website to order some supplements, and after approx. 10 minutes of viewing their website to see if it was secure, I called to ask the simple question if the website was encrypted. The first time I tried calling it was 5:00 (their closing time), and after waiting through their hold sequence for approx. 4 to 5 minutes, it sounded as though someone picked up the phone then hung it up. I recalled, and when the person answered after approx. 3 rings, all they said was “we’re closed” then hung up, and didn’t even give me a chance to ask that quick question. I sent an e-mail to the Apocethary explaining what had happened, why I was calling, and about someone hanging up (and to ask if I could get their offer of free shipping) and nobody responded to my e-mail.Forward to 4/21/20. The “Free Shipping” sale was once again taking place, so I signed onto their website (which I received an e-mail about), and once I noticed that the “s” was included in the http (meaning it’s secure), I decided it was okay to order. According to their website, I was ordering three bottles of 120ct supplements for approx. $38 each. When the order arrived, three bottles of 60ct were in the package (rather than the 120ct I ordered).On 4/23/20 I called the apocethary, and after explaining what had happened to the lady that answered the phone (who was quite pleasant), she looked into things and told me that the SKU I ordered was for 60ct, not 120ct. I told her that the website, which I was currently looking at while I was talking to her, stated 120ct, not 60ct. After once again explaining what had happened, and that I thought I was ordering the 120ct and not 60ct, I asked to speak with the manager. The manger told me that the 120ct bottles were $45 and the 60ct were $38. I told her that if I would have realized I was ordering the 60ct for $38, I would not have purchased them since I had paid $44 for a previous order of 120ct since I’m very much of a price comparison shopper. The manager told me that they didn’t have any of the 120ct in stock, and that if they did, they would be $45. I told the manager I was okay waiting for the supplements to come in since I still have some in stock, and she once again stated that the price I paid was for the 60ct. I told her I was currently looking at the website which stated the price I paid ($38) was for 120ct, and her response was that it was human error when doing the website and she would notify the person to make the change.The manager offered to credit me $5 per bottle (which would bring my cost to $33 per bottle), but I said since I only received 3 bottles of 60ct, I felt they should use the price of $45 per bottle divided by 2 since I felt that would bring things even for what I was buying according to their website. Her response was that she would give me a $5 credit for each bottle (when I felt I should have been offered much more than than), and she said she couldn’t even believe I was asking them to use the price point based on the 120ct bottle. I told her I wasn’t happy and that I wouldn’t be doing business with the apocethary again. She once again mentioned the $5 credit per bottle, then said she needed to go. As of 5/07/20, the $15 credit still had not appeared on my credit card statement.Due to their mistake, I am the one paying the price.5/02/20 - Prior to posting this review, I decided to call the owner of the apocethary to make him aware of this situation (just in case he didn’t know) and to let him know I was posting it. Since he wasn’t there, I left a message for him to return my call. As of Friday, 5/08, I hadn’t heard back from the owner.

This is by far the best supplement place is the tristate area. They have the greatest selection of brands and VERY knowledgeable staff that will spend unlimited amount of time helping you find what you need, share their expertise and make recommendations. The prices are VERY reasonable as well. Certain minerals, vitamins, herbs and oils are even cheaper than online. Its a hidden gem really!

If someone is human with an ounce of kindness and can tell the person asking for help is not there to rob you, what is your moral obligation? The inflexibility of the policy is flawed if the answer is Under no circumstances. That is the answer of the manager of Village Green Apothecary.

So not satisfied with the reps from this company. I tried to set up a business account and was told the boss of the company would have to call and set up the account after he determines WHY WE would benefit his company. The real question is how would you benefit ours? Thankfully there are numerous other options for us to get product elsewhere. Such a shame the product represents itself better than the employees who are paid to represent them. The owner and staff should be ashamed of themselves.

My wife and I have been customers of Village Green Apothecary for the past 20 years. We find all of their staff to be consistently knowledgable and very courteous. Our vitamins and supplements are either purchased off-the-shelf or special-ordered. The pricing is very competive and enhanced by two-three special sale periods each year. This is indeed a five-star operation and worthy of our endorsement, without any qualifications.

My 10-year old childs doctor prescribed 2 compounded vitamins that when we received were absolutely putrid in smell and taste. Of course he refused to take them and the house smelled so badly of this compound that I tripled bagged it and brought to the doctor for proof of this issue. The doctor agreed it smelled and tasted awful. The problem was when I returned these compounds back to the pharmacy, they denied any issue or any strong odor! I am livid, as the cost was expensive and we are out the money. This pharmacy had the nerve to say theyd send them back to us!!! DO NOT USE THIS PHARMACY!!!!!!!

After two days of phone calls and emails Im not comfortable taking the meds and am out over $100 now too. Not only could they not give me a clear answer on all the ingredients but became rude and tried to turn the situation on me. Like, how dare I care what I put in my body... Enjoy the $100+ Village Green. Horrible way to run a business that purports to be for your wellbeing.

They lost my prescriptions. They finally found one of two. Pharmacist dropped pill on floor while filling prescription. She found it. Rather than trashing it, she put it on the counter. Pharmacist is very slow. New? Difficult to get help. One woman was very busy doing a hard sell on a $146.00 treatment not covered by insurance. Faxed RX goes to Pharmacy. Those emailed go upstairs where they lay forgotten. They deliver, but not on Saturdays because theyre too busy.Sad for Mickey and Irv, but the store is a nightmare. Few customers, long waits, and best pharmacist just left. If you like bad service, this is the place for you.

The staff is always pleasant, especially the young gentleman who always calls me by name and is helpful at the register. The people on the floor are very knowledgeable and can help with a particular supplement problem.
