Similar to other reviewers. If I had thought of checking reviews before going to the hospital, I wouldnt have ever gone to this place. Avoid at all costs. Our daughter was admitted to the ER in February. We are double insured. Yet, somehow, despite the fact that they never sent us a bill, our account was sent to collections. Now, their business office phone number has been disconnected and no one at Johns Hopkins billing can even see my daughters account. We would like to pay this bill, but we cant even find someone to speak with to resolve the situation. To make matters worse, Bethesda Emergency Associates doesnt even have a functioning web page. The link on Google takes me to a painting company. I know our medical system is broken beyond all repair, but this experience takes it to another level.

Never received a bill , never received a call, Nor an email. When I called them they only had my address on file they had the wrong information for my phone number and for my email and yet the hospital I went to had all my correct info.In November I received a bill from a collection agency stating I owed $40.66. I Called Bethesda emergency Assoc. After patiently waiting 10 minutes for the employee to speak to a supervisor she stated she was sorry they couldn’t pull my account from collections since they had the right address even though they had all of the wrong phone numbers. So a persons credit get compromised by the Incompetence of a billing department.

I had an accident when I was staying in MD at that time. I went to the ER and my God, its the worst experience Ive ever encountered! Im sure theres good people in there, but all the doctors and staff people Ive met were either cold and aloof or plain rude. 2 years later , I get a random billing when I gave them my insurance info. so THEY can bill them.Called the billing departments today, and my patience went down and my stress level went up. Theyre incompetent. And Im sure theyre going to turn me in to the collection agency. Its not my fault they dont listen and are greedy for money. Ill tell ya, Avoid this place!

Worst billing practices ever! Make sure you do not use them if you go to the hospital. They have been billing me even though my insurance has paid them. They even submitted to a different insurance company to get paid (a company that I have never had!!)

This apparently is a third party billing for some physicians at Johns Hopkins Suburban in Bethesda and possibly other locations. Apparently when one receives services at Suburban Emergency with Medicare, that information is not passed to the physicians billing company. Unfortunately, calling Johns Hopkins one hears you have no outstanding bills, but then after 90 days a letter arrives from a collection agency HRRG advising that ones account has been sold for collection. The people at Bethesda Emergency Associates are incompetent or intentionally running a scam. She had never heard of Medicare!.

Heres a tip: When leaving a voice message it IS indeed possible to state the nature of your call without disclosing sensitive information. I nearly had a heart attack because I thought my daughter was in the emergency room, you freaking jerks. But no, this cryptic message was all over a small balance that our insurance already covered. Staff are also rude, incompetent, and unhelpful.

Each time I am seen by Bethesda Emergency Associates - they do not bill me then report me to collection agencies. When I call to inquire, there are no supervisors, theyre rude and unknowledgeable, and unwilling to take payments.I will definitely bypass Suburban Hospital whenever I am in need of emergency care.

Whoever works for the billing department at Bethesda emergency associates should be fired, as they are the most incompetent department that I have ever had the displeasure of dealing with. They have failed to bill my insurance company for almost a year and reported me to collection agencies resulting in me being harassed for something that is their fault!! Avoid at all costs unless you want to be harassed by debt collectors because they cant figure out how to bill correctly!!

Yep, they seem not to want to bother sending invoices but just send your immediately to collection agencies. Its a shame you have to pick your hospital in an emergency not on its medical qualities but the billing department.
