Starting with the front desk personal are very courteous welcoming and making me feel comfortable. The nurse in the lab testing with her conversation make you feel painless with the middle. Such a great experience. I have to say Howard is amazing! So professional and so caring and thoughtful. He went out of his way to make it a good experience. We will definitely be sticking with this office because of him. Dr. Jorge was also lovely.

Dr.Jorge makes a point to take time and explain in lay terms so I could fully understand my lab results and suggested measures to take moving forward. The staff pleasantly greets me upon arrival and swiftly ushers patients to the examination room. Even the process of having blood drawn is a breeze (especially since I have a fear of needles). This all adds up to a wonderful experience.

From the second I walked in I was made to feel comfortable. Alem, at the front desk was most accommodating and courteous, providing me information I needed. Dr Jorge was warm and caring. She actually asked about my lifestyle in relation to my health and that was a welcome change. And, she listened to my responses. I recently switched insurance and selected Dr. Melinda George as my PCP. I think made a great choice! The facility is conveniently located and the staff is friendly. I appreciated Dr. Jorge making me feel prioritized even though I’m a new patient.

Dr. Melinda is very professional and detailed. She took her time to talk to me and explain everything. She is very caring, knowledgeable and easy to talk to.

This place is truly 5 stars. I came in as a new patient looking for a primary doctor and I was not disappointed. Everything was so quick and simple. I arrived and was pleasantly greeted by Abraham. He was very professional and personable. My appointment started on time and I was in and out within an hour. All of the staff was personable, the location was easy to find and so was parking, the office was very clean, and the whole appointment was a breeze. I even got a free pen...it truly is the little things that go a long way.

AWFUL. Do not go here. Listen to the other bad review made most recently. They closed their office, without notice. The new Dr, left the practice without notifying her patients and their other doctor does not even reside in the state of MD. Absolutely terrible call center that can’t do anything. Avoid this place at all costs if you’d like actual medical care.

Very courteous staff and efficient service. We went for our Medical Immigration Exam which was completed promptly. What was really appreciated was that the staff and doctor took care to explain the whole process to us, including walking through each page of the final form.

My father has been going to this business since it was a husband and wife location many years ago.We have been trying to reach someone since my father was released from the hospital with a feeding tube two weeks agoHis pharmacy has also been trying to get a prior authorization signed during the same timeframe.I have called five times and no one has called me back yetThank God I was able to find but my father needed online even though he has insuranceNow I’m thinking of switching both of my parents to my doctor since it takes over two weeks to get someone to call me backI guess when you get very big the caring it’s not the same anymore !!!

Dr. Jorge is super nice and personable. She was thorough and took care of my needs and questions during my visit. The phlebotomist that drew my bloodwork was also nice and engaged in great conversation. Also, when she drew my blood it didnt hurt like it has with other phlebotomist. Lastly, the front desk personnel was extremely nice and she always greets me with a warm welcome.

I always have a good experience once I get into the office to see the nurses and doctor! The nurses are always very nice and friendly and know me by name. Doctor Jorge is attentive and you can tell she cares a lot about her patients!I have a major complaint about the call system however. Every time I call for any reason, I feel like I leave the situation frustrated.First, it is very rare the phone is answered when I call. I am asked to leave a message and the people in the call center will get back to me.Second, when they get back to me it is usually several hours after I call. It’s usually after 4 pm, which the dr. Office is closed after 4 so when I ask a question that is important to answer, I get told that no one is there to answer my question and I’ll have to get a call back tomorrow.Third, I very rarely get a call back. I have to call again and push to talk to the nurses or dr.Fourth, the call center does not communicate with the nurse or doctor. I had an issue where I had called several times, and finally when I got frustrated enough and demanded to talk to the front desk, I got ahold of the nurses I regularly deal with and they had no clue I had been trying to contact them. They resolve my problems almost instantly. Several hours of frustration could have been avoided if the woman at the call center would have just transferred me like I asked.Fifth and most recently,I tried scheduling an appointment for my second vial of allergy immunotherapy. I started the process the Friday before Memorial Day. After several phone calls and voicemails left, they called me back and told me that the doctor was out (because they waited to call me until after 4 pm) and I would get a call back on Tuesday to answer my questions and schedule my appointment. They did not call me on Tuesday. I called on Wednesday and after a frustrating conversation they said I would have an appointment on Monday. Friday, they call me to tel me my vial is on back order and not to come in. I call back immediately (about 1:30pm) to ask for the doctor to see what I should do since I knew I shouldn’t have a lapse in shots. The call center did not answer and waited until after 4 again so I could not ask the doctor my question. So I sent an email to the nurse who helped me with my previous issues on Monday. She calls me directly, tells me my vial has been there a while and scheduled me to come in the next day.0/10 for the call center. Rude, uninformed, and frustrating people.10/10 for nurses and doctor.I realize the desire to and benefits of centralization, but in this instance it causes a lot of frustrations that are unnecessary.

UPDATE: I had a wonderful visit with Dr. Ortega. Abe at the front desk was great too, but then a chaotic back and forth between me and Jivanacare administrative staff was awful and completely turned me off to this medical center.Dr. Ortega called to follow up me, listened to my frustrations, validated my concerns and restored my faith in his expertise as a physician.He is the physician I thought he was before dealing with the clinic staff.Remarkable that he took the time to hear me, to discuss my health and follow-up plan.I trust him with my healthcare and that he and other clinic leadership will correct the issues with its admin.I am happy to say that Dr. Ortega is my PCP and I will continue to seek medical care at Jivanacare.

Dr. Ruffalo is very caring and calming to be around, as someone with severe anxiety. She gives the impression that she cares about what you have to say, and takes what you say seriously. Doesnt feel like shes just trying to rush off to the next patient.

I had a physical Appointment at this Location for immigration Paperwork. The appointment was quick and they were Very precise with the paperwork. Abraham and the rest of the staff were very helpful. Great experience throughout the whole process.

I needed to see my primary care doctor at Jivana Care last minute to discuss a cough I’ve been suffering with, and she made time for me, even though she was finished with her day. They are amazing - great customer care and do everything to be as accessible as possible! Very pleased with my care!

Very disappointed with my experience at Jivana Care today. 2 months ago I had a physical in which some of my labs were abnormal. Dr. Ruffalo asked me to come back in two months to have the labs retaken and see if anything had changed. Two months go by and I don’t hear anything from the office so I call to schedule an appointment. On the call, I specifically asked if I needed to fast before having the labs taken and the associate told me “no need to fast”. So the morning of my appointment, I didn’t fast. I get to the office and the office manager tells me the woman who administers the labs “can’t make it, and is going to be late” and sends me to the Safeway across town to get the labs taken instead. I thought this was very unprofessional but then when I get to the Safeway, I see the woman who typically administers the labs at Jivana Care. She was working at the Safeway office that day, not Jivana Cara, and the office manager lied to me about it. They forgot to schedule someone, she wasn’t late. Anyway, at Safeway they tell me that I need to be fasting to have the labs taken so I left with no labs taken. I will not be returning to Jivana Care after this terrible waste of time this morning.

We visited here for our medical check-up in bethesda location. We received an excellent service here. Staff are very helpful and customer-friendly. Special thanks to Alem for the follow-up responses and providing receipts on time.

[Immigration Medical Exam] My experience was good. Alem the staff was friendly and professional. On the day of results pickup, she explained all the pages before sealing them and giving me a copy for my record. She even wished me the best of luck with my application. I didnt know that the clinic has their own I-693 form, so I filled my form before coming. I didnt need it at the end, wasted 14 pages of paper. Ask them in advance to make sure. Everytime I came in (with my mask, of course), they gave me a pair of gloves and new pen which I could choose to keep.

Things were fine when Dr. Ruffalo was still there. Then came Melinda Jorge who tried to change the world by abruptly altering my 4 year regimen of medication down to almost nill without complete regard to the withdrawal symptoms and discomfort. Now the clinic doesnt even have a resident practitioner and I need to get stitches out of my lips in 2 days.I am SOL. They are claiming they have a working doctor, Dr. Ortegga, but he is not even residing in the state of Maryland (he is a surgeon at Harvard) and the clinic has no appointments for over two weeks. Ive been with this clinic for five years+ and have never had to complain about any issues until now.The fact that Dr. Melinda Jorge left the clinic without even informing her patients is absolutely ridiculous and unheard of. Shows a complete lack of medical care.-Paul

They were the only place in the area that answered my call first try. Every other place either made me leave a message and then never got back to me, called me back days later, or out me on hold. Not only that, but my appointment was at 3 and got there early. They got me in early, and out in 20 minutes. The doctor saw me immediately, they answered all my questions, and did not make me sit around. Absolutely amazing.

Definitely a great medical office! The staff doesnt treat you like youre just another patient, they care about you as if you are family. Everyone greets you with a smile. The new location is now closer and convenient for me. Im Happy to have found Jivana Care when I moved up here! Dr. Ruffalo is helping me improve and maintain good health. My experience at Jivana Care was very positive. I was a bit reluctant to go to the doctor during the pandemic, but Jivana Care goes above and beyond to make sure that everything is safe. Visits are by appointment only, and they made sure that I did not share the waiting room with other patients.

In downtown of Bethesda. Very close to my apt. Surprisingly and thankfully, they work on Saturdays. So this makes it rather connivent to stop by. Additionally, the front desk lady is very helpful and knowledgeable. Strongly recommend.

This place is a hoax. I made an appointment to get my blood drawn because I was feeling sick. They made me an appointment and I went in and had my blood drawn. Then a week later they called and said I had to draw my blood again because I needed to fast. I said, sure fine, but I am not paying for that because you should have told me in the first place that I needed to fast! That is not my fault no one told me. They said yes of course we will not charge you. When I received my bill, SURPRISE! I was not only charged twice, but they charged my insurance provider $250 for a specialty visit with a doctor. I did NOT even SEE a doctor! I told my insurance company they should take this place off their list, they are frauds and will do anything to make a dollar.

Very nice and customer-friendly group of people. Easy to get to, easy to park. Finally finding a place that gives me the ability to self administer allergy shots has made all the difference and gotten me going on something I had been putting off for years.

I wanted to see Dr. Ann Ruffalo because of the line culturally competent LGBT care. Let me tell you, that is absolutely accurate! She was incredibly respectful and responsive to my concerns and demonstrated knowledge of even the more obscure facets of LGBT medical issues. If you are looking for a doctor closer than DC or Baltimore to help you with this, then I highly recommend you set something up with Dr. Ruffalo.Additionally, the person at the reception desk was very nice, and I had a lovely chat with the person who drew my blood. So far my experience has been nothing but positive!

I have been there 3 times now. All have been great! I have even made this my primary care doctor as well. The staff is great and knowledgeable. Great besides manners. The only downside is the wait sometimes. Today I waited almost an hour in triage to be seen. Still give 5 stars tho. I have tonsillitis and they helped me on my road to recovery!

Today I received a COVID test. The nasal sample was taken in the parking lot in wake of COVID-19 situation. Due to my work schedule I arrived couple of minutes late but the health care provider was very professional and attentive as usual.I highly recommend Jivana Care for those who are in need of any medical care.

Stay away from this establishment they ask personal information like SSN and other personal information I was told my insurance was accepted and after 1 day before I receive phone call stating that I was not covered.Do not trust this people.

The staff at Jivana are extremely professional and fast working. I normally hate going to the doctor, but this time it was enjoyable.

If I could give no stars I would. I went in for an annual physical which was quite dissapointing. The PA came in, listened to my heart sounds and walked out without a word. This took all of 2 minutes. I was then sent for my blood work and allergy testing and that was it! I reached out to her via the online portal asking about why she did not address my concerns during the visit. She responded by asking me to remind her what they were. What! I spent half an hour filling out those history forms and she didnt care enough to look at them before seeing me ( a new patient). After that, Jivana Care tried to get me to go in for a follow up visit (just to make sure they get more of my insurance $$). WARNING: DO NOT DO THE ALLERGY TEST WITH THEM (youll thank me later). Spear yourself and stay away from this place. Not to mention that the lady at the front desk was also rude to me. She said she had emailed me about a particular thing and I told her that I did not receive an email of that nature. She argued and tried to prove me wrong in every way. Only to find out thather email to me was about something else. I had such a horrible experience at this place which was such a shame as I was really excited to find a Primary Care Physician just a block from where I live.

I like doctors/staff who take the time to listen to the issues of their patients. I dont like the office space setup but know they were moved due to renovations and will be moving back soon.The PA and MD are friendly and caring. The staff is new so things can be slow on front. The expectation is they will be kore efficient with practice. Overall good place to go for care.

Friendly front staff, and no long lines. But they have high fees. If possible, request to see fees upfront, office visits are higher than expected. And please avoid allergy testing and vitamin D deficiency testing. Not going back.

Dr Kerri Gray is amazing. She has an amazing general practitioner, but what is even more amazing, is that she has correctly diagnosed more complex medical conditions. I have recommended her to colleagues, family and friends.I have rarely had to wait very long even though her no appointments policy may lead to long waits at busy times.

Me and my husband went to Jivana Care for a medical immigration appointment. We couldnt have chosen a better place!! From the moment we were greeted! Alem and Howard, at the reception, are absolutely, absolutely wonderful and welcoming!! Alem explained the process to us. I am a retired MD and I have been receiving excellent care from Dr. Gupta and their physician’s assistant Ms. Ann Ruffalo. They both see me when needed on an emergent basis and are most helpful. Sheba and Alem, at their front desk, are extremely helpful and nice. I give Jivana care my highest recommendation.

My family have been patients of Kerri and Michael Gray (mostly Kerri) since the Drs. Gray opened their clinic in this location. Kerri has always been knowledgeable, current in medical information, caring, and open to questions. Caring in the old-fashioned way, too. I cannot recommend her highly enough. She has seen us through both routine and emergency medical circumstances. We could not be more pleased. We consider her part of our family.

Ok I think I need to Red Flag this place!! First I had a 11:30 appointment, and waited forever before someone could see me. I had to tell them I was leaving in a few minutes if no one could see me cause I needed to be on a important call.Second, the doctor whose office it is was not there, on the phone they said a different doctor will see me, when we got there the Picture of that name from what we searched did not match the doctor. So it was someone else. Thats SHADY!!Doctor was nice, and listened. However, I should have had some sort of extensive testing done which even as a non-medical profession I knew due to the symptoms I had. However nothing was done , I was prescribed some antibiotics etc...They said they will send in my prescription to my pharmacy, they did not do that. I tried calling, got no answer until finally the next day at 1pm. When they finally sent it in, I had 3 prescriptions, they only sent 1. What a hassle!!Lastly, they made me make them my Primary care Physician (PCP) which was very weird, and called my insurance to change that.Along with all this, they wanted to do an allergy test, I am assuming just to charge my insurance.I do not write reviews, however the medical field deals with people lives, and I am sorry this place is just not up to par! Now I have to make more appointments and see whats wrong with me.

According to WebMD, elevated bilirubin is symptomatic of more than just jaundice. I clearly do not have jaundice, but no tests were proposed to discover what other liver disease or malfunction I may have.I have never seen my Primary Care Physician. Does he exist? If so, does he ever see the patients for which he has assumed the obligation of primary care?

Got there fifteen minutes after opening. Waited about 45 minutes in the waiting room, and then an additional 30 once inside the exam room. Kerri has great bedside manner - very friendly and easy to talk to. The front desk was also pleasant and helpful.

I have never written a review until now. Felt the need to express my disappointment at some really terrible service. Is it possible to give a place zero stars?Went in for a simple annual physical and 3 weeks later they are still bungling my results. Had to go in for a second blood draw since they messed up the first order. And they have been giving me the run around when I follow up about my results. Desperately poor communication and very very disorganized.Save yourself, go somewhere else, anywhere else!!

This is an amazing Health Care Center. All the physicians are great. Dr Tapscott discovered I had been taking the wrong thyroid medication for 10 years! Also pre diabetic, and together I went from 222 ponds to 175 pounds. No other Doctors found this critical information. The staff is knowledgable and efficient. I highly recommend Jivana Care

The health care provided here is great, however, their billing department is horrible. They overcharged many times and took forever to figure out the issues.

This clinic is a wonderful experience. I read some of the previous comments and cant imagine it sheds the correct image from my opinion as ive lived in this area a while. The staff at the front desk has always been very polite and nice to me every time I called or walked in. I have never had an issue. Dr. Ortega always spends time with me. this place is a gem and always open when I need to run over from work. I love this place and cant ask more from a no appt primary care doctors office.
