I only got to see Dr. Anton Minassian one time before his daughter took over running the practice. She is a good doctor and I feel like she was genuinely caring and compassionate about my health. However, the problems that I consistently had were primarily from the office staff. First of all, trying to reach someone on the phone was like pulling teeth! No one answers ever!! I would always have to leave a message, most of the time multiple messages before I would either get a call back, or they would finally pick up while I would be leaving another message. That In and of itself is so stressful and mind blowing that this issue alone would be enough to warranty a poor review, but sadly there is more. My other “major” issue has to do with billing insurance, or lack there of! If u have state insurance or one private insurance then they might be ok with that. However, I have a primary insurance and a secondary insurance. Having a secondary insurance resolves the issue of having to pay anything out of pocket including, but not limited to co-pays regardless if there is a deductible or not! I have never had to pay out of pocket at any of my doctors or even specialist. Long story short, I kept telling the receptionist that they are not billing something correctly and sporadically I would pay the copay just to keep the bill down. Nevertheless, I did contact my insurance companies for assistance and was told by the secondary that they have never sent an EOB from our primary insurance showing what portion would be their/patient’s responsibility. Additionally, my insurance liaison called them on several occasions while I was on the call and because insurance cannot leave messages about a patient because of HIPPA, remember they don’t answer the phone, we could never get anyone to pick up so that we could get it resolved!! In the end, they did not send in my medications to my pharmacy over a weekend because of a $150 bill that my insurance is responsible for and when I did speak to the doctor about all of this, she seemed disinterested in anything that I had to say. The consensus was since they don’t seem to take my insurance, then I might want to find a doctor who does. Now I can’t even get a call back or anyone to answer the phone so that I can properly discharged so that I can go to my new pain doctor, it looks like I will have to go there in person and try and get what I need. I live an hour and an half away and I feel like they are definitely making this extremely painful for me. It’s really disappointing because I really like the care that I received, but I can’t afford to pay for two insurances and still a copay, it make no sense. Just be for warned that the office staff needs some training and that u may have a problem if u have two insurance like I do!!

I highly recommend Dr. Minassian and his crew. I wouldve made many mistakes if I didnt have the proper guidance and support that this clinic provided for me. If there is anything wrong with you, these people know what theyre talking about and they really do care about their patients. Thank you so much

I have seen Dr. Minnissan for quite sometime. He is a pioneer in buprenorphines use for opioid dependance. He also became a pioneer in a implantable form of buprenorphine called Probuphine. One of the only docs qualified in this area to do the 15min procedure. I painlessly was able to use the implant as a method to taper off of sublingual buprenorphine (Suboxone). Its been two years and I feel better than ever, no cravings, no replacement with other substances. I feel personally indebted to Dr. Minnissan, his wife, and office staff for their helping me beat this issue that is so prevalent nowadays.

I have been seeing Dr. Minnissian for a few years now because I was referred out by one of my Doctors at Walter Reed with Wonded Warrior Bn. He is still one of my favorite Doctors that Ive seen just because you can tell he actually cares about you. He wants you to get better but will take care of you to the point where you are comfortable. I was wounded in combat and messed my back up and if that month my knee is bothering more then he will focus on that...he is not out to get your money like most civilian Doctors and shove some pills that a pharmacy rep gives him and gets a bonus for writing so many scripts. Couldnt have a better staff working for him as they are friendly and very helpful. Wish there were more Doctors out there like him.
