The staff at Eyeland in Berwick are WONDERFUL. My daughter had an eyeglass emergency this morning and even though we are not regular patients, they were quick to help us out. To say they went above and beyond is an understatement. We recently moved to the area and will absolutely be coming back when we are in need of new prescriptions. Highly recommended!!!

Love the dr and staff. Options for glasses are limited but I found a pair I liked. Our family likes it there. Very nice and professional.

My mother in law came back (IN TEARS) from the appointment they didnt honor because she is deaf (which was communicated to the staff at the time the appointment was made). They claimed to not have the time to write things down for her so she could understand. She can read lips, but obviously during Covid, when everyone is wearing masks, she cant. Take the extra time to care about the patients paying your salary. We will go elsewhere.

Went in for an exam on September 10. Optometrist did an exam. Figured out my prescription pretty quick. Had me seeing great in the chair. We decided on progressive lenses for my far sighted vision. Went out and picked out a pair of frames. Was told 7-10 days they would be in. 15 days later i got a call they were in. Went to pick them up and immediately i knew they were not right. Vision was blurry at all distances. They insisted that i had to give it time to get “ use” to them. I tried wearing them for two weeks without anything getting better. Everything was a kaleidoscope looking through them. I took them back and they adjusted the frames to sit differently on my face. Try these now i was told. Another week of wearing them but no improvement. Took them back and had a different person wait on me. She agreed that the prescription was wrong. They took the glasses back. Sent them out to wherever they get them done. Two weeks later another phone call come pick them up. Better but vision blurred every where but the exact center. Even then i had to search for the center. Tried them for a couple weeks. Wasn’t going to work. $10 reading glasses gave me better vision. Took them back again. I was told that was all they could do. I then asked for my money back. They told me it had to be approved by a manager, who wasn’t there. They would call me in a couple days. That’s been two weeks now. $492 and insurance paid $192. Still waiting and it is now January 20th. Dr. Did what he could do as far as the exam. The rest was horrible.

My husband is a welder keeping our electricity on during covid. He works 80 hour weeks and needs his contacts. They refused to extend his prescription (something many of his coworkers got from their eye doctors not at Eyeland) My husband is flying to CA next week. After calling Eyeland and leaving messages for weeks and weeks with no response, him welding with 3 month old contacts, they finally answer and tell him that if they order his contacts now they wont be here in time before he leaves for work. If they had returned any of his calls, they could have been ordered and here in time. Zero sympathy, completely unwilling to help. My family will not be returning.

Customer service is terrible. They were very rude and unwilling to look into my insurance. They took our insurance but refused to use my husbands information even tho he was the primary card holder.

This Eye Doctor will simply mimic your old prescription without bothering to see if your eyes have gotten worse. Also, if you have any form of Astigmatism, avoid this site. He does not bother checking for Astigmatism and will prescribe the wrong contacts.

Arrived early for my appointment. After I was there a sales rep stopped in. I was the only patient left at the time to be seen. Once the patient before me left. The staff sent the sales rep in to see the doctor. I sat waiting for a half hour as the rep and doctor talked. I felt this was totally disrespectful and a total was of my time. I left and did not get my eyes examined that day. I will not be returning.

A very pleasant experience. Called Monday, got apt for Tuesday and Dr. was ready as soon as I finished my paperwork. Apt took about 30 minutes total. No extras were pushed and whenI explained that I order my contacts online, I was goven my prescription with no hassle. So glad I switched from Dr. Finnegans.

Absolutely top-notch staff professionals! Ive been with this practice for many years. Once, prompted by a friend, I visited another practitioner in Berwick, and was appalled by the treatment I received by the service staff. The optician was a former Eyeland employee and his service was just fine. However, I was treated very rudely by the person who was supposed to help me select my frames. And when the glasses were ready to pick up, another person acted as though I was asking too much when I asked her to help adjust them to my face. From now on, its Eyeland Optical in Berwick for me.
