Pretty basic gym. It’s a little cramped due to the size but if you’re looking for a basic workout you can get it here

If you don’t look like this from your gym, it’s cause you aren’t at this one. Cleanest most professional well lit and maintained gym you’ll ever experience.

Good atmosphere and nice people, especially management and trainers. Why its only 2 of 5 stars is they havent responded to my calls or emails for months while I have tried to cancel my (month to month, no contract) membership. They have continued to bill me even while they were closed. I hope they will reach out to me now that I have done a charge back though American Express as I would like to rebuild the relationship and rejoin once things have cleared up from this outbreak. I look forward to the reply to my email from a couple of months ago.

Great variety of equipment with more room than other local Anytime Fitness in the area! Staff are friendly and non-judgmental.

I appreciate the fact that its conveniently located by a stop light for when I try to leave. Additionally, it has some parking available, as well as a member entrance in the rear.I have not been to any other gyms but it seems to have a decent variety of equipment for its size. My interactions with the staff have been pleasant. I have not had any negative interactions with other members; perhaps its because were wearing headphones but we seem to mainly keep to ourselves and I personally dont mind that at all.

Ive been a member for over 7 years and the gym is always reinventing itself. Classes are challenging. Staff is helpful, polite, knowledgeable and FIT! Very affordable for a workout facility. I highly recommend.

Workout there bout 5-6 days a week. Paul trains me, hes super knowledgeable. His workouts are effective and efficient. The gym is clean and the staff great !

Club looks A LOT better with the new flooring and carpet installed! Its a small gym but they have the basic necessities. I just wish the tanning bed rooms were converted to a sauna because those can actually be really good for you unlike UVa rays..not trying to toss too much ..shade (ha sorry..no Im not) but being a 24 hour gym, I understand night owls want to get their tan on and an unnatend sauna could be more of a liability

I attend this gym 4-5x a week. Love it here. The new manager Paul is AWESOME! I also recommend the boot camp classes. Paul is also the instructor, classes are just amazing highly recommend!

I changed my review because when they closed due to COVID I moved out of state. I mailed my key FOBs and a cancellation letter since they were not open to cancel in person. When they reopened they started charging my credit card again. I disputed the charges but they fought me on it, sayiing I never had an acknowledgement that I cancelled. Totally unethical way to deal with a customer.

Quality equipment, nice friendly people, convenient hours. I can recommend them more highly.

Very dirty, was coming here daily and on multiple occasions there would be the same mess for days on end before it was cleaned up. A starbucks cup sitting in the corner, huge dirt patch on floor, somebodys sweatshirt, etc. Always out of wipes. People are always leaving water bottles behind and you will see the same pair of shoes in the rack for days on end. Must be nice to work here and never clean. Much better Anytimes in the area that are CLEAN and UPKEPT

The gym is ok but it is IMPOSSIBLE to get any customer service by phone. I have called at all hours of the day, left 3 voicemails requesting callback (unanswered), and when I finally reached someone she said the gym staff was just getting in and would call me later. Never received a call. Absolutely unbelievable. There just no excuse.

First time here away from my home location, first thing I noticed when I walked in the door was a sign that says “we currently do not have hot water”. Not the most welcoming thing when I have to shower before going into the office. Speaking of shower, holy hell the men’s shower room was disgusting. Tiles falling off the wall, discolored build up everywhere within the shower. Good thing there isn’t hot water, because I was in and out of that thing.Only reason this location got more than 1 Star is because of the amount of weights and machines they have.Other than that, I won’t be coming here again.

Love the classes, the instructors, and my fellow members. Also love walking or running to it. Love my neighborhood gym!

This is just a run of the mill gym. They have good equipment and a clean facility, but what good is it if access to the machines is limited by the amount of people trying to use them. If I can run out of auxiliary exercises before the machine I want to use is vacant because someone who clearly spends more than enough time at the gym wants to do set after set...aint nobody got time for that. I work 9 to 5. Ive tried going in at 5am, and Ive tried going in at 10pm. Same story either way. Its just okay.

Intimate, clean, recently add new equipment. Ive had minimal contact with the staff but my experience was positive.

The mens shower is a total wreck. Tiles have fallen out, tiles are cracked, you can see the dirt and staining on both the tiles and the pan. You can smell the mildew/mold/rot.I usually workout on my way to various places, I cant do that if the shower is not usable. This seriously limits the usability of this gym.Id like to hear back from management on if/when they plan to replace the shower.The gym itself is about what I expect from Anytime Fitness. The free weight area is a little more cramped than other AF locations Ive used. But still functional I didnt look at every seat on the equipment, but all the seats I did look at had tears in the upholstery.All in all this facility needs a little love and care to bring it up to par.Update 02/13/2018Ive sent messages via email (as listed at their site) and via facebook and Ive gotten no response. I guess they just dont care...Update 02/15/2018Reached out again to AF via Facebook and got a response this time. According to the representative I messaged with AF will be reaching out to contractors and deep cleaning. Hopefully the shower situation will be resolved

This used to be my gym 2 years ago and it used be very maintained and clean. They must have switched management and its very noticeable. The machine are not kept up and dont seem to be cleaned often. The only reason Im leaving this review though is because of the condition of the bathrooms. The toilet seats are broken on the hinges. The vents have not been cleaned in a very long time. There was black build up around the vents to the point you can barely see the original white color of the vent. I have photos but unfortunately Google maps doesnt allow photos on reviews. really hope the management sees this review and fixes these things. Then Ill change my review.

I live down the street from this gym, so it would be super convenient. I visited to see how much it would be... They want a 24 month contract for $30/month, plus fees to start up. But its soooo tiny and theres no locker room... only one bathroom. I could join LA Fitness for $10 more per month and have a swimming pool, racquet ball court, showers, etc, etc. CRAZY.... I wouldnt pay more than $20/month for this place.

This place is a TOTAL waste of money! The free classes that they claim to offer never start on time and/or are cancelled without as much as a sign posted. The staff kind of shrug at you dumbfounded if you try to ask them a question about ANYTHING. I repeatedly had to ask that if they did not know the answer, to please call a manger. Even then, they did it begrudgingly.To add fuel to the flame, I was told that to cancel my membership, I had to put it in writing. I did this and mailed it in. I didnt keep a super close eye on my account that I had it linked to (my fault) but for the past 5 months, theyve been taking the monthly fee from my account! They never closed it!They are AWFUL!

I went to this location for a year and I can honestly recommend that you do not go here. I finally had enough of the declining quality of this gym and just cancelled my membership and went to Planet Fitness down the street. I went to this gym every other day consistently, and can honestly say I have the most experience with this gyms quality and staff.The price is $30 per month with a contract and for the price and service it really is a bad deal.To start most of the equipment does not work and is poorly maintained. There also isnt alot of gym equipment to begin with.The tvs on the treadmills and the elliptical either dont turn on, do not receive a signal, or are plain removed from the machine. There a couple that do work but are spotty and vary day to day. On the subject of the treadmills some of them and there are very few do not incline and one one or two of the treadmills there are loose bolts and screws causing parts to shift or move when grabbed.On several occasions there are no cleaning wipes in the dispensers to clean the equipment as they are not checked to be refilled. Even this to happen once is unacceptable as people are constantly using the equipment and that is unsanitary.The female woman who works in the mornings who I believe is a manager is very rude and unprofessional. She does nothing to maintain the quality of the gym and spends most of her time posting passive aggressive signs on windows and gym equipment alienating the customers.Every other time I come in there is some sign demanding members either switch shoes to workout or risk being charged. Telling customers not to hold open doors for other members so they are forced to scan their fob key every time on entry. There were even signs saying if you failed to re-rack your weights they would watch you on video and charge your account $25! Its just not worth joining this gym as with the passive aggressive notes that change day to day from the minimal equipment that does not work and the price. Its almost like they dont want you to workout here. Save your time and money.

24 hour secured access, plenty of equipment. A bit weak on classes. Three rowers but awfully placed. showers and lockers are cramped. The price is good but requires a 2 year commitment.

Manager lied about key fob policy. I was told it was deposit to hold the the entry fob, then told it was purchase when I went to return the fob after ending membership. Gym was ok, everything you expect from any gym.

Terribly unprofessional staff, nasty gym. They dont clean and you can see trash laying there for days before its disposed. Also there are rarely ever any cleaning materials backfilled in their place /holders.

Very small Gym relative to what you pay a month. if you decide to cancel your membership you have to come into the store during week days to sign a 30 day notice. being a member for more than a year, they will force you to pay an extra month after cancellation. they are making me pay 50 days after the cancellation date

My favorite spot to get them reps in!! The staff are very personable and informative, gym is in very good shape and they keep it incredibly clean and spotless!!

I have been an Anytime member for about a year and this is the most dated and poorly maintained Anytime that I have been to in the Metro Detroit area. For reference I have frequented theMacomb location (22 & Romeo Plank),New Baltimore location (23 & Gratiot),Madison Heights location (14 & Campbell),Ortonville location (Sashabaw & Clarkston)Clinton Township location (19 & Hayes)These are all very very nice gyms with new working equipment and clean facilities. The Berkley location is very dated, most of the HR monitors on the cardio machines do not work, and the restroom and shower facilities are old, poorly maintained, and smell. Many of the weights and machines have very visible wear and tear on them and they are frequently out of order. It is also just a very small location that gets packed so everything is very crammed together. All of the other locations are worth the $30/month price of admission but not this one. It is in dire need of a revamp. I went here twice and will not go again. The Madison Heights location is much better and the new location opening up in Ferndale is another great substitute.

Great but only one shower

Workout equipment is falling apart. Half the TVs dont work. One treadmill actually has a cracked handlebar.

I belong to the Anytime Fitness in Livonia which is just a fantastic club but this one in berkley is a joke I stopped by to grab a workout after work and was sorely disappointed in this gym, Its not well maintained and the equipment is not up to anytimes high standards, I have to say I was really disappointed by this club I wont be going back until they upgrade

Absolutely terrible pricing scheme.The equipment is okay, the classes are never on time.They have a water fountain that doesnt work...Im not going to be locked into a year contract at $40 (plus tax) a month for this place.
