Overall it is a clean and friendly environment. The staff was extremely friendly and professional except for one clerk. 4 stars to the slender young man and the female clerks. The other clerk needs customer service training.

I dont recommend it, theres a huge queue to get in, theres no room, youre on a waiting list and the room leaves almost when youre leaving. They reduced the length of stay from 8 hours to 6 hours, and didnt lower the price, and you still cant renew your time after checkout. I dont recommend it, I was this Saturday to Sunday it was 6 am they didnt want to renew my time with the sauna empty. I do not recommend at the moment, sauna without parking at the moment without parking spaces in front of stret

I was mainly in my large room busy all night with a bottom friend. When I did finish and walked around the bathhouse was packed. A good place to unwind is the sauna or jacuzzi pool. Let the jetstreams hit your pets or back and the steam room heat you up again for another round or two..in the back of the bathhouse is my favorite. Putting the bench or sling to good use if someone is on it waiting and already to go.....put in a show....thank god the bench is bolted down, I can go real rough pounding hard now and not have to worry about the bench breaking..... seems made just for me...now I can really work over a willing volunteer on the receiving end

First time to Steamworks for my husband and I. I was a bit nervous and apprehensive. Upon arriving, Daniel was very accommodating and helpful! While waiting for a standard room, I didn’t realize I needed to bring my belongings from the locker prior to handing my locker key in exchange for a room key. Again, Daniel was very patient with me. It took me about an hour to orient myself with the layout. Very clean and friendly atmosphere. The only thing I need to point out is the mirrors at the end of some of the passageways, they’re misleading and you can “bump” into it!! LOL!! 😂😂😂Overall, I had a very pleasant time. A lot of diverse men of different ethnicities. As we left at about 2:30 am, there was a long line outside for waiting patrons to enter... WOW!!!A little tired this Sunday morning but extremely relaxed! We definitely will return back!!! Thank you.

Great! Best Bath House in the United States. Fun Friendly Staff. Very well maintained. Bring your own Flip-flops/Shower Shoes. Nice gym, Jacuzzi, Steam Room & Sauna are very nice. Membership works in Chicago, Puerto Rico, and Toronto for those who travel. If you come before 10pm you can park in the lot next to building.Very modern and sleek. Sex is a plus not a must. For those of us who like to simply relax and unwind. Great neutral meeting place. Students get a discount which brings great eye candy. Dont be a wuss, Man Up and Go.

I was here last weekend, this is hands down the best bathhouse Ive ever been to. Ive only been to the ones in LA and Vegas, but this one beats them, no competition. The guys are great and the staff is friendly. The place itself is amazing and clean, way more luxurious than I expected.

Everything is perfect, but the unprofessional customer service of the big staff is alarming. the attitude of disrespect we receivedand poor customer experience. He slows down the team to strive for higher standards. Two points1.) Even after renovation, the area around the urinals is disgusting. You can’t get to a urinal without walking in piss. It’s only a three star club at best.2.)in addition, while most of their management is great. There are those who really need to brush up on interpersonal skills to be in the position they’re in. Everyone would benefit.

I had a very pleasant experience at Steamworks in any of my two visits there. The place is nicely cared for and contains both some spacious/open areas (whirlpool, gym, dressing area) and some more cozy ones (saunas, dark rooms, etc). The guys around were really nice, overall. Being already in my mature years, I have felt in many other saunas to be looked upon as being out of place for this reason, but none of this happened at Steamworks: I had great times with guys of a wide range of ages. My main reason for not giving five stars is the reduced dimension of the public video viewing area, basically a bench in front of a couple of screens---it would be very nice to have a video room where people could closely share (and more...) the viewings.

Whoever answers the phone should be replaced. This was on Feb 2nd at 11:40p. Horrible customer service and very rude. Looks like this business might not be in business within a few years. Sad that when people have the opportunity to own their own business they let it go to trash. I won’t even go now from the phone interaction I had. Disappointed.

Staff is more friendly than rude for the most part, it’s a clean environment, no nasty poop, pee or bleach odor. Lots of diversity of guys. It gets better in the weekends. Met nice guys there from other cities and countries there.

Been going to Steamworks for years, considered to be one of the best mens spa to relax and have a peace of mind. But unfortunately, Steamworks have been failing on maintaining the jacuzzi and steamroom. Steamroom has been out for months and jacuzzi has been out as well recently. Management is very poor of taking care of the place. Steamworks has been through a lot of remodeling. Still something breaks down still. Very disappointed of how management is running the place. I recommend WaterGarden in San Jose. Far drive but its damn worth it!

A laid back place for men to go and commune with one another. Facilities include a large in ground jacuzzi, showers, steam room, sauna, full gym, and quiet, dark areas that catch your attention and curiosity. Weekend rates for rooms and lockers are more expensive.

In from Utah, took a Lyft ride from San Francisco which ended up costing me $30, called ahead of time and everything sounded like it would work fine with my temporary drivers license (which is all Utah gives for ~6 weeks until your real license comes in the mail) and only once we got there did they tell me that they could not accept this valid state issued photo id because it was on paper and California no longer does temporary ids.

Its by far the cleanest and largest sex venue in the SF area. Granted, its a bit of a drive or BART ride from SF, but its often worth it. Sunday afternoons for Sunday Service are by far the best. Weeknights are pretty dead; Fridays and Sat are moderately busy, though late Saturday night is busy. On Sundays Ive seen some of the hottest guys in SF, who Ive only ever seen at the gym or whatnot and wouldnt think theyd go to a sex venue. Most people are friendly and playful and I usually have a good time.I dock one star because the whole check in/out and the various rooms and upgrades is so time consuming and cumbersome. It can take several minutes to check out. When youre ready to go, youre ready to go. It can take 10-20 min to check in depending how busy they are.

The few times I’ve been here after the renovation, have been nothing but pleasant. They keep it clean, orderly and updated - compared to other sex clubs in the Bay Area. The staff is friendly and accommodating. A little kindness and courtesy goes a long way. You get what you put out. I’m a big fan of “Lights Out Thursday”... where the whole place is in low to no lighting & everything else is left to your imagination. But their weekends are good too. Whether I go early or after midnight, it’s still fun. Probably the only thing that may ruin the experience, which is of no fault of the establishment, are the very few patrons whom are either too aggressive & doesn’t easily get the body language that means NO! or complete douchebags who thinks very highly of themselves. Otherwise, cum & join the fun and be safe!

Being probably the youngest guy at the place when I went (19), here is my review. I went during gay pride, it was packed, many rooms were on waitlist already and it was barely noon! Anyways, checking in took longer than expected but it was a holiday. The staff I wouldn’t say is rude they try to disconnect themselves with what is going on in there, if they become too nice people might get the wrong message or they’ll think they can do whatever they want. I could see what they mean though, maybe a just a smile could help that way people don’t get the wrong message. The back of the place wasn’t for me but I mean others seemed to like it! I liked the gym though nice touch. The place has a classy but upbeat kinda vibe. Everyone was super respectful made it more fun. The sauna was nicer than expected, the showers were nice too. The lockers walkways were iffy they’re really narrow. The only thing that put me off was the smell coming from the restrooms, well because you know... maybe install this automatic air fresheners? The prices were okay, I like the prices because if it was cheaper than some sketchy people would probably come in. I would say come after 4pm if you’re looking for a big crowd but then you would probably be stuck checking in. Anyways nice experience met a nice dude to play with, I was satisfied. A bit intimidating at first but it’s really a fun place even if you don’t have se*, would definitely come back. I didn’t explore the lounge area! I will need to come back soon 🤟🏽

Eat at your own rick here. This place deserves a visit from the state health inspector. The honey walnut shrimp was simply rotten, but it didnt stop the cook from covering it in batter and sauce.Sweet & sour pork was worse than at Panda Express - stale and chewy.

Management need to tell their stuff how to serve costumers.... if they can’t...than dont do reception job.. Simple...the place was stinking...all over.. Only facility of its kind in the SF bay area (WaterGarden is 50 miles south in San Jose). Friendliness of staff can range from excellent to terrible depending on whos working. Very clean and now wheel-chair accessible since last remodel including wheel-chair accessible shower, dry sauna and steam room.Thursdays are popular (lights out/down), Saturdays are very busy and it can be difficult to get a room if you arrive late (post-10 pm) unless you purchase a (EXPENSIVE) V.I.P. membership. Sunday afternoons are also popular and busy.

The check in guy hes name Carlos small guy with beard was absolutely the jerk with bad attitude 9 out of 10 times. The only smile face you ever going to see when hes with co-workers joke around or a few latinos customer. When it come to most customers he will treat you with bad attitude and rude. While it maintains the basic form, the refit makes this the premiere sauna, closest to San Francisco, and definitely worth checking out.Moderately priced dressing rooms are quite handy if you plan on being there more than thirty minutes, and the gym is actually well appointed, with lots of availability (mirroring the clientele.)Some nights get quite busy, with competition for rooms practically requiring the optional VIP membership which earns priority status on any waiting list. Eight hours is standard for the maximum time allowed for one stay, and two stays back to back is allowed, with absolutely no tolerance for anything beyond (ordinance requires the staff to be quite efficient at keeping you compliant).Even so, the staff are overwhelmingly very professional and courteous, even when the rare guest decides not to be. Lots of fun, and maintained well, even if a little grid-like and smallish compared to others bearing the same name.

As of last week, the set of showers between the steam rooms have deteriorating hot/cold valves that are acting up and you could hardly keep the hot water to stay hot!Have Safe Fun!

Some of the worst service I have ever received! Im usually on the fence about going as the half the staff always seem bothered that they have to be there and the mix of guys tend to lean more twords double my age (50+) but will when I go, I accpect that the establishment would be interested in making sure everyone is in a safe space and no one gets hurt.I do not believe that is the case anymore after my last experience there. After running into a wall (due to the poorly lit hallways with no way to identify where anything is) I went back to my room to lay down for a little as I was getting a headacke. Next thing I know, a staff member angerly is waking me up and saying I was late for my check out... Looking at the time I was almost 5 hours late for my check out and last time I had checked, I still had a few hours left.... They proceeded to charge me for the extra time I had spent and when I had asked why no one had come to my room earlier to see if I was to check out or find out why I had not extended my time there as for saftey measures to make sure I was okay, I received the asnwer of its not our responsibility to make sure you check out on time.I see that a dollar to then is more important than anything else.

Was there last Monday, 10/9, night. I like this place, always clean and staff very friendly. However, when I was ready to check out, OMG the employee behind the counter made me feel so uncomfortable. It was around five am. The moment he open the box to give me my valuables, he gave me the look, he didnt take his eyes of me. I sat in the lobby to wait for Uber and he didnt stop staring at me. I felt so uncomfortable that I just left and I waited outside. I know that it was early and he might have been tired, but thats not the customer fault. I am a manager myself and I know that sometimes is hard to handle people, but if u dont like ur job get a job somewhere else. Dont know if I wanna go back again. After years of coming here, this is the first time I felt that way. Train ur people the right way please.

Almost every year when im visiting my brother from Europe im there at least for an evening/night.Friendly staff, great environment always had lot of fun.

Went for the first time, a let me just say i wasnt nervous upon entering but a little apprehensive. Since i figured i drove an hour and half to get there let it be worth my wild. There were different variety of men it was dim and kind of quiet which makes the place a little more at ease. I have never tookin that much of a shower in my life glad i was able to do a lil touching and groping witbout bein turned down. I mainly went to observe and to get a feel of the place not to engage in any sexual contact, the staff was cool. Not too fond of the steam room simply because i hate bein hot maby ill have to get use to it idk. But over all it was a fun experience and i planned to go more often.

Maybe it was gay male night, cuz uuumm, that all it appeared to be there. Hopefully there are other titled nights. I havent checked, cuz nothing really made me wanna come back.

Its not what Im used to but you got to love the dark cave like atmosphere, sure you run into your trolls and dwarves, but every so often you find that co©k (I mean hidden treasure) you were looking for. But go big or go home and invest in the bigger rooms, guaranteed good time. The staff is also very very friendly, not the most experienced in setting up a sling but they try.

Service was excellent while the manager was there friday morning. Once he left for the day, the staff became caddy and short tempered. They changed my room to a monitorable location near the front desk due to my company and even raised the price of my renewals. Definitely the best spa ive been to in my life but the customer service could use a pick me up and some good event planning and discounts for younger clientele would definitely increase their foot traffic.
