Horrible doctor who doesnt do anything to help people suffering from ADD. I was diagnosed w ADD as an adult years ago, but discontinued treatment without consulting a doctor, and then suffered for it professionally and personally for years following, including losing my last two jobs because of it. Eventually, I admitted to myself that the things going wrong in my life were because of my disorder. During quarantine it got so bad that I couldnt focus on anything. I made an appointment with him at PCPA because his bio stated he treats ADD.My initial consultation with him seemed to go ok, although at the end of an hour and a half of discussion and pouring my heart out to him with my life story, he ended the visit with no advice or prescription, but said that we would complete the consultation with my next visit. He wasnt available for several weeks, meanwhile I was suffering with no treatment. He then canceled my next appointment and I had to reschedule but he wasnt available for another couple weeks. The second consult six weeks later was very strange. He seemed very cold and didnt say much during the visit. I basically had to repeat everything I had told him in the prior visit. When he did reply, he tried to correct me about my own story that I told him! As if my story had changed? It hadnt... He wasnt paying attention the first time. I dont even think he took notes. At the end of the second visit, he said he wouldnt prescribe me stimulants. I was shocked. I never asked for stimulants, although they are very common to treat people with ADD. Additionally, Im well aware stimulants arent the only treatment for ADD. I thought maybe he had some issue with stimulants but might have some other treatment ideas, so I asked what he would suggest that I do as I was clearly suffering if he didnt want to prescribe stimulants. He had no suggestions for me at all. None for medications (neither stimulant nor non-stimulant) or any other type of non-pharmaceutical intervention. For someone to claim to treat ADD and then to offer absolutely zero medical advice for treatment, whether pharmaceutical or not, is complete medical negligence. Especially after making me wait six weeks without any treatment and then to finally have no options for me to be treated at all after telling him all the same things Id told him in my first visit. If you suffer from ADD, (or anything else, really), please do not waste your time with someone this negligent.
