Amazing doctors. Really great experience.

My 18 year old son has been a patient of Drs. Weiss and Friedman since he was 3 years old and my 11 year old daughter since birth. The doctors and staff are extremely professional and at the same time a pleasure to work with, always warm, friendly and accommodating and very helpful when needed. I highly recommend Washington Avenue Pediatrics for all the health needs of your children!

My children are patients at Washington Avenue pediatrics. They are the best!!! They always follow up with important results. When my infant daughter had serious complications after the hospital, their staff called me 3 times that morning to remind us to get emergency blood work done. Dr Weiss & Dr Love are very knowledgeable in the field of child development, ADHD, and autism. Dr Kaye was very thorough and spent a lot of time with my daughter when she was sick. She also cleaned out her ear wax. I feel they know as much as a developmental pediatricians. Dr Weiss made the same accurate diagnosis as the developmental pediatrician did for my son. Dr Friedman has also referred my son to a psychologist and neurologist for an evaluation. They are open Sundays and are always available by phone. The yearly physical papers are free after my sons yearly physical. However, if you lose them you do have to pay some kind of fee for a replacement. I love the convenience. Theres several doctors on staff and they always squeeze me in same day if my kids are sick. I prefer their expertise over those urgent Care centers. The nurse is also very patient with my son who has ADHD and jumping all over the room. They have plenty of extra staff to help out if he doesnt want to get his vaccines. Overall, I would highly recommend them...

They will not help anyone who is not a patient. God forbid your child is dying. I called the office today because nowhere else is open and my poor three month old isnt nursing and screaming following a vaccination. Call me crazy, but if I were a doctor (specifically for children) I would at least take the damn call. An infant is not eating. An infant can be having an adverse reaction. A mother is crying and sick with worry. If that isnt an emergency, I dont know what is. If youre not concerned with the welfare of young children, you certainly shouldnt go into pediatrics. Find a different and equally lucrative profession if money is your only concern.The best part? The receptionist took my call, listened to my problem, asked me to hold while she explained to the doctor whats going on, and came back to tell me that I cant be helped because Im not a patient. In other words, the pediatrician heard my problem and decided that it wasnt worth picking up the phone because Im not a patient. Disgusting.

Their office charges $15 for a copy of physical papers (2-3 pages). Completely ridiculous. $1 per page I can see, but their charge is just unheard of. I understand they want to discourage making copies of papers but thats part of their business and Im paying for all their staff so its not like they are giving freebies out.The competition is greater now with Urgent care centers...they are faster, have walk-in immediate access, and paperwork is electronic so I can get it whenever I need (without extra charge!).Drs here are nice but not special enough for me to pay all their extra charges for petty things. With a family, I have more important things to spend my money on!
