I have had surgery and tests done at Saline Hospital with no complaints until today. Because of 1 ER doctor (Dr. Nelson) I will never return there. I never go to the ER but today I was having problems with my ears to the point of unable to hear. I had recently had surgery and was in a lot of pain on top of having ear problems. I couldnt get in to see an ENT so I felt I had no choice. I never go to the ER. He was rude and condescending as soon as he walked through the door. Did nothing but made me feel sicker than before I went. He didnt even try to help me see a ENT. Just because of 1 bad apple the hospital has forever lost my business as a patient.

Went in because of flank pain and burning urination, the doctor said it was musculoskeletal pain, went to another hospital a few nights later for worse pain and turns out I had a UTI with multiple blood cells, protein and sediment in it. Couldnt diagnose a UTI because Im genuinely not sure if they actually tested the urine? Plus whenever I would ask questions, it was kinda brushed off, as much as I like this place, I must leave this review as I had to endure pain, and possibly kidney damage due to lack of antibiotics. :(

Will literally let you sit there and die and will admit people with minor problems in front of you. You’re better off going to literally any other hospital, no matter how far. If you do go here, best of luck to you.

If I could leave a 0 star review, I definitely would. Triage center told us that we would be back shortly and now it’s been 3 hours. My fiancé was told that if her pain increased, to come right back. She was told that she had acute renal necrosis due to a 3.3 mm kidney stone. They say their patients are seen “based on severity of injury or illness” but we’ve been passed up numerous times by people with “runny noses” or something like a sprained ankle.. I would NOT recommend this place to anyone. I understand ER visits take time, and they can be busy, but don’t keep promising me that we will get seen soon and then keep her waiting while crying in pain and vomiting due to that pain for over 3 hours.. absolutely disgraceful as an “emergency room”

Avoid this place at all costs. I brought my 2yr old daughter in for a laceration on her eyelid- she was triaged after waiting for about an hour where they stuck a bandaid on the cut. We waited another 3 hours before finally getting back to a room. The dr came in and explained that he did not want to do sutures as that is typically more traumatizing to the child but said he would clean it really well and put some butterfly bandages on it to reduce scaring. Well, he never came back. About 45 min later, the nurse came back in with discharge papers and we left with the same bandaid that was put on in triage. And as if that wasnt enough, they billed us for that hospital visit and while trying to get them to send me a detailed statement showing what exactly we were charged for, they SUED US and had my husbands paychecks garnished (for a bill that was less than $1000). I would give Saline Memorial negative stars if I could as this was only one of the horrible experiences we have had with this hospital.

This ER has the worst bedside manner. The doctor in the ER are incompetent. If you have a real emergency just keep driving because the lack of care will more likely “do more harm”With that being said, the staff on the 4th floor are excellent!

I must say that during the whole process of my wife having our baby there all the docs and nurses was great, very friendly, and professional. Seemed to care for my wife and new baby. Even made me feel at home there as much as possible. Then my wife’s sister had her baby there 4 days later and gave them the same treatment they did us. Only thing that would had made it a 5 is if they was more accurate on the time the doc is going to see you. It was almost 5 hrs before the doc came to see us. When we was told it would be that morning.

If I could give a zero rating I would. This was by far the WORSE experience I have ever had in my 40 years of living when going to the Emergency room for care. To be fair when I arrived the registration person was pleasant and the male nurse who took me to the back was very nice. I arrived at the ER at around 3 am presenting with check pain radiating into the arm. The male nurse was nice. He hooked up my EKG and left the room. About 30 minutes later a female nurse came in the room and she was a nightmare. She made me feel very uncomfortable. Not one smile or any concern about my symptoms. She seemed bothered by touching me. She had to put on IV in my arm and it was a horrible experience. In the history of receiving an IV this was the worst. She stabbed me and when I jumped to show that it was hurting she then yelled at me and told me to settle down because the needle was no longer in my arm. She slapped the tape on and left out of the room. I read all of the reviews prior to visiting the ER but I didnt listen. I moved here from another state and I cant believe the treatment I received at this ER. I will never in my life seek care or go to this hospital. I would not put my life or the life of my family in the hands of this hospital. I cant believe they have people like that working in healthcare. The doctor was OK, but overall I did not feel I was welcome at this hospital. This goes beyond a bad bedside manner. I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS HOSPITAL.

Dr Onyenekwe barely assessed me in the ER. LITERALLY 30-40 SECONDS. My condition was serious, and painful. MRSA abscess on my leg so bad that it required 2 IV antibiotics. Vancomycin IV.....is serious. Leg was extremely swollen, red, hard, and burning hot. Fever, heart racing, high-high blood pressure. 6 hours in that bed, in agonizing pain. Was refused pain medicine, oh except Tylenol. He was the most uncaring Dr. I have had..ever. Even my nurse profusely apologized for him. I will not go back to Saline ER and stay if hes my doctor. I will literally walk out and go to Baptist. Ive been treated by Saline for 10 years with this condition. Im an RN with 20 years of experience and know inadequate care when I see it. Would have given zero stars if I could.

I hate this ER. The nurses have no bedside manner and I havent met a doctor there yet that acts like they really care. My own experiences there are horrible but the way they treated my mother today is even worse. I myself am a nurse so I know how things are supposed to be done. I pray ill never have to use this place again.
