SMG takes gymnastics seriously. The coaches are really detailed and they respect the sport. Daughter has progressed faster under their guidance than previous gym. Most importantly, they will be honest with parents, let you know strengths and weaknesses and help your child thru the tough mental blocks and physical skills. My wife was a gymnast and coach and she speaks their language. She still has friends in the industry. If you want to send your child to a gym where the goal is to babysit and jump into a foam pit SMG is not it. If you are looking for a gym that can help your child learn from fundamentals to higher scores without breaking their spirit you’ve found it. Not military but not Gymboree. Best gym in the Bay Area, and we commute so we’re invested in decision.

Great gym, one of the best! Very encouraging, amazing, correction giving coaches who push you to be your best. Big gym, great equipment :)

Kids have been coming here since they were 2. Have had a great experience so far.

Hygiene problem! The place smells stinky, my kid went there for a few months and started to have rashes all around body. Dropped at the beginning of a month they still charged for the full month.

Very condescending (one coach in particular) and unwilling to have any constructive conversation with parents, over a simple, fair and routine question. Will not go back. Ever.

The gymnastics program is great, but the building needs updating.

Worst coach, lesson....Never ever recommend...
