Sorry but these negative reviews are pretty funny. Weve been going here since theyve opened and they have always been nothing but professional. Is the staff over worked (DEFINITELY) as is EVERYONE in the health care industry!! What happened to them being the heroes?!Stop complaining all the time and start empathizing! If you cant be seen 30 mins before closing and its an emergency...go to the hospital...if youre unhappy about the service because they seemed so busy...why not be kind and realize theyre most likely on their 4th (12 hour day) in a row of no lunch breaks and pure madness during a PANDEMIC!!!Im sorry...but Im so over the entitlement on these reviews!! Get a grip and try some kindness and empathy for a change!

Very unprofessional facility. Receptionists look highly over worked from the front desk to others running around, as well as lobby being fully packed. Do they not understand that covid is still spreading? it is unethical to have a complete crowded lobby with others around you possibly sick. Not just a few individuals, I mean FULL PACKED lobby. Very unsanitary. The self check in machines were extremely greasy with finger prints. They had texted me to come in, aside from waiting for that text, when I came in I waited more than an hour, not even being brought back to a room yet! Whoever is managing this facility needs to be more aware of their “patients”!

Very nice and clean office. People are nice. Turnaround for PCR test is very long. Took it on Wed and on Sunday still no results. I kept calling and calling and nobody knows where are the results or which lab was it sent to. Do not count on getting results within 2-3 days. Its not true. Go to another facility. Not recommend at all.

I had very positive experiences with every single staff member I interacted with during my visit to this location! Everyone was very kind and pleasant, even at 11pm right before closing! I will return to this location if I need urgent care services again in the future :)

It’s 10:30, they close at 11, and they just denied me medical help because there at “max capacity on their list for this evening.” I’m sorry, but I didn’t realize someone health was added to a list. Disgusted to say the least.

Urgent care is completely ruined. they say they take walk in patients but it is not true. they close this place at 11pm. I arrived for a consultation and it was 9:55 pm and they did not want to take me. they do not want to attend to people and they let it go by saying a simple sorry.

One of the worst experiences ever. My daughter was so upset after leaving . The staff was probably the worst I have ever experienced. The Dr herself was nasty and visably aggravated with having to deal with my daughters issue . I will be sure to inform anyone I know to not go to citymd in bellmore.

Called for a rapid Covid test, their recorded answering system states “simply walk in no appointment needed, and have a result in 15 min” so I drove almost an hour away only to be told by a 12 year olds looking receptionist that I need to be put on a list prior to being texted and that they were booked for the night. I explained how far I had traveled-and what their voice recording states when calling, and it was like talking to a wall. Blank stare , no response or care , all he said was they open at 9am. As if I had time to wait or spare I would travel back to them for an hour each way to get tested ? Smh…. Horrible service and zero empathy. Do not recommend city MD Bellmore to anyone.

I am now forced to wait for at least an extra hour for my daughters medications because this office sent it to the incorrect pharmacy. I have no car and am riding around in Ubers standing outside in the heat with a child with a double ear infection.

My husband went in at 1 pm the day after Labor Day. Was told to come back in 8 hours. (are u for real) Someone would call half hour before. He said will you be open then. They said they’re open till 11. At 8:30 he called no answer. Next day called up and they told him to come right over. He was complaining about ear hurting and sore throat on one side. They took him in. DID NO VITALS. DIDNT CHECK FOR COVID EITHER. The dr said it could be an ear infection and prescribed Z pac. Are you kidding me? My youngest daughter had that, had vaccine snd it was COVID. They didn’t even ask if he was vaccinated. UNREAL AND TOTALLY UNPROFESSIONAL!!!!!

Had an amazing experience at CityMD in Merrick. The doctors and staff were super attentive and took all the correct blood tests I needed to help me figure out what was causing me pain. I cannot recommend this location enough!

This is my go to Urgent Care. I have not experienced a long wait. The staff is always courteous and professional. I recommend this City MD for all ages. Besides, their hours are more accommodating than any other Urgent Care. 👍🏻👍🏻

The first place I thought to go when I was feeling ill this week was CityMD in Bellmore. This is the third time I was there and each visit was quick and thorough. Sadly, I didnt even consider my PCP. Way too busy and never has an appointment available anymore.I am overdue for my annual physical and wont even hesitate to go back to CityMD. My PCP told me its a 4 month wait!!! Im not exaggerating. Its May and her first appointment was in September.

I liked the fact that it is opened late. The Covid test was not an unpleasant experience. The staff is pleasant and efficient. I was isolated until my rapid results test came back and it was delivered to me by a doctor. I recommended this facility to friend and they liked it because they had a pleasant experience as well

My family and I live in New Hyde Park, we have never seen such an amazing urgent care. We do the drive mainly because its such a professional place, the nurses were extremely kind and the doctor was thorough! We are 20 mins away, but definitely worth the drive.

This past week we have had to use City Md in Bellmore and they were absolutely terrific-Nolong wait times,Check in was easy. Staff is very nice a along with the Dr’s bedside manner. I would definitely recommend this facility.

The lady at the front desk - Iris is rude to customers , she spoke so loud about my personal info -in her mind -there was no privacy! . I rarely take the time to write reviews, because i don’t want to write a bad review and have someone loose their job. This is one of those cases where I think she should not only loose her job - but work in another profession. A profession that requires minimal interaction with humans. I suggest to only go to city MD in Bellmore if you have no other options - and that would most likely be because hours of operation. If other place are open choose them. Once you encounter the first person as your bad experience, it’s difficult for the other good people to salvage this one persons damage . I don’t think she knows she is in a service industry - I think she thinks she is doing the customers a favor.

I came here for a Covid test. Although I waited for 2 hours on the line, I have to say customer service was great. The receptionist were amazing. Especially the lady working the middle check in area with brown hair. She was so sweet. I’ve worked in the medical field for so many years and I have to say it was a pleasant visit despite the wait. I recently got a rapid COVID swab after having flu like symptoms for a couple of days. First of all the virtual line is amazing, quick and updates you immediately. I know how hard all the staff and everyone at city MD is tirelessly working to help provide optimal, quick and safe care for all their patients. I would like to give a shout out for the staff that was on duty this past Wednesday (12/30). From the all of the experience with the kind, informative and helpful security guard, the front desk and technician and doctor who took care of me. It was a quick, easy and as good of an experience you can get from getting swabbed. This city MD is extremely clean and they follow all the proper safety protocols. Thank you to the staff for all you do to help keep the community safe!

Recently went to City MD on Merrick Road for a Covid test. I was dreading having to wait on line. To my surprise at 1:30 in the afternoon there was only one person waiting outside! When it was my turn I gave my license to the Security Guard along with my cellphone number and answered his question as to why I was there. I was told I would get a text message telling me I had a half-hour to return for my visit. He then sent a text to my phone to be sure my info was correct. There were 79 patients ahead of me but I could text to get an update. They were open until 10:30 p.m. and I received a text at 9:30! When I left at 10:30 there were still patients signing in. Sincerest thanks to this dedicated staff for their diligent work.

While it was a bit of a wait and they require that only the patient stays in the building, I did appreciate the fact that they were open late. This urgent care is also very medically prepared to assist as they even had an X-ray machine on premises. Once you have already visited any CityMD branch it makes the check in process faster as your information is already in the system. This helps incase you forget to bring your insurance card. Also, CityMD as a company has always stood out to me as they provide post-consultation reports so that way the patient is fully aware of their diagnosis and prescribed treatment. Finally, I have always experienced kind staff members no matter which CityMD branch I have been to.

I called for a emergency visit, my sister needed stitches and it was 10:50 PM, they don’t close until 11:30 & they tell me they aren’t taking any patients. They are at capacity, my sister was outside waiting & I get a call from my other sister who took her to tell me it’s empty. ! Your website indicates if we make an appointment prior to closing time or arrive prior we can be seen, but if you arrive after no accommodations can be made which I understand. But my sisters were so nervous about the entire situation after I told them I was told no one was going to be seen, I told them to walk in as it was still open, but they decided to go to the ER instead of having to deal with a place who was already turning them around before even taking a look.

CityMD in Bellmore is wonderful! The doctors are caring and have excellent bedside manner (we love Dr. Bushman). The staff are lovely! We always have a positive experience! I highly recommend!!

* 45 min wait for rapid 15 min covid test*This place does not do right by it’s patients. They were rude to my spouse last week and this week they were rude and dismissive to my concerns as I recently battled covid. They had me leaving feeling like my concerns were unacknowledged and not important. This place only cares about money. The doctors are rude,dismissive and unprofessional. Never coming back to this location.Also let’s not forget they told me I had appendicitis incorrectly two months ago

My entire experience at this location was positive all around. The staff was very kind, helped me quickly and got me both checked in and checked out fast. The doctor I saw was both extremely knowledgeable and pleasant but also made me feel so comfortable. I’ve never had a covid test before and she was a true professional. It was not uncomfortable at all. She answered all of my questions and was very reassuring. I had a wonderful experience.

In Ecuador, a 3rd world country, my PCR took 1 day. Took it on Friday, rec I es Saturday in time for flight. Here it took 5 days! I missed my 72 hour window mandated by all airlines. Unacceptable!!

Since CityMD is the only place in town where you can walk in to get a Covid test same day it helps that they’re very organized and very nice. Just know that since there are so many cases right now you must go get on line before they’re open to secure a spot for a same day test. They do a virtual line so u don’t have to wait all day. You can go home and then go back when you get a text that they’re ready for you. They hit capacity before 10:00 am.

I needed to get a rapid test for covid-19. The web page says no appointment necessary for testing. When you call the recording tells you no appointment is necessary just come down. Then youre made to wait on the line if there are still appointments remaining for that day and late into the evening. Or you drive there in my case 30 minutes and I told there are no appointments for the remainder of the day come back and stand online at 6 in the morning to make an appointment for tomorrow. I will however say that once you are in the facility and deal with the people they are extremely nice, helpful and cooperative

I was sequestered with my granddaughter in small room with no ventilation for more than 30 minutesWe were awaiting results of covid test. I was positive and granddaughter was negative.Three days later she tested positive.

My wife had strep and my throat was bothering me so I went to the urgent care. I have been fully vaccinated for covid but since I mentioned I had a cough the dr decided that its covid. Didnt help me at all.

Pros: caring staff, gentle staff, knowledgeable staff, and very professional staffCon: I don’t mind waiting but I would prefer if they would have just texted me when they were really ready. Don’t have me come in to just wait again.Other than that I have no complaints.

I was taken aback when I was prescribed 3, THREE, medications for what was suspected to be a rash/ allergic reaction from some unknown source. The doctor could not identify what I had and did not explained to me what I was being prescribed and what each was for. THREE PRESCRIPTIONS. Really?!! The dr didnt recognise what I have, but prescribed 3 things, that I found out later, would have been cheaper over the counter!!!Aside from that, the assistant and the receptionist were professional and the overall experience was OK, but not thorough enough... yet I am grateful it was available and somewhat helpful to me at the time.

Waited on line for 5+ hours to get a rapid Covid-19 test and arrived to the site before 7am (they dont open until 8am.) They only had one doctor on staff that had to see all patients, which was a ploy to charge insurance for the visit. Once inside, I was seen pretty quickly by the nurse, but waited 45 minutes for the doctor to ask how I was. I replied fine and she told me I could go home. Ridiculously understaffed, but staff I did meet was friendly enough.

Staff were very kind. Doctors were knowledgeable and had a good bedside manner. However, while I understand that a limited number of people are allowed inside, having sick people wait outside in the cold is not considerate. I waited for 35 minutes in the cold before I could even check in (got there at 8pm on a Friday night). Perhaps put heaters outside, chairs? Or better yet have a staff member take peoples cell number and text them when they can come in. This aspect definitely needs to be improved upon.

Whenever my family is in need of urgent care, CityMD Bellmore is the place to go. They are courteous, caring, fast, responsive and attentive. I highly recommend their services for emergencies, bad colds, flu, bronchitis, puenomnoa, sprains, falls, x-rays, blood work, covid rapid tests, PCR tests and much more. Call them the next you need urgent care.

My Father and I received the rapid test as well as the PCR for covid 19 yesterday . The staff was so helpful when it came to checking in. We saw a doctor by the name of Kristen Kelly and she was one of the best doctors I’ve come across. Her professionalism, knowledge and calm demeanor gave us extreme comfort in a stressful time for us. She was absolutely amazing and walked us through the process as well as what to keep an eye out for. I left feeling less nervous and knowing I had a doctor that cared made for a nice experience. Highly recommend this office and this doctor. Thank you.

Been waiting a week for test results from Covid pcr. They say 3-5 days. Went to GO HEALTH and you have results in 48 hours. Also when I called to inquire as to why there is so much conflicting info the receptionist was quite nasty. 7 days for results is literally helping to spread Covid. Do yourself a favor and go to pro/go health. Much more of a positive experience

I would highly recommend City MD staff were very caring! However I don’t like how they have you wait...I waited online for a Covid test 4 hours in the freezing cold and another 30 mins for the test. I would recommend what Pro Health does you go inside give your information and they call you when it’s your turn. At least I would have been warm sitting in my car.

City MD is a wonderful service To our proud community. I was warmly and swiftly received in the belmore location thats open until midnight many days of the week. I had a very unfortunate and opposite experience during my stay at NUMC in East Meadow recently. I highly recommend visiting this practice and keeping them thriving so that people are kept in good care with respect comment dignity, kindness, and professionalism. Doctor Cantor and his staff are remarkably incredible caregivers and deserve great accolades publicly.

Dr. Balfour and the MA on staff were so kind and engaging during my testing/visit. Despite the constant influx of potential COVID patients, they both were so calm and present. For someone like myself, who is a very anxious person in regards to COVID, the staff put me at ease, and Dr. Balfour even got me to laugh. I am so appreciative for the staff at this location.

I have frequently visited this location and have consistently been pleased with the service I have received. However, on todays date, one of the woman at the front was nasty! I asked for clarification about my co payments. Another woman (nasty) directed the girl checking me out to print a form. Then she pointed at, it pushed it nastily towards me and turned away. Its unfortunate how one person can ruin an entire experience. I have plenty of other places to choose from. I wont be back.

Like someone said- they say no appointment necessary but yet dont warn you online or on the phone about the process to sign up to get tested.. which was the bad part about my experience.. the fact that I had to be up and out at 630am waiting on a line that wrapped around the building ( I was number 20 or so originally when I got there, and then by the time CityMD opened at 8am, friends and family members of other people ahead of me on the line joined in late- which pushed me back another 10 or more people...) and that line was to sign up on a tablet with one of their staff members with my name and phone number so that they could call me to come back later for the COVID test... once I was called back in later on- the rest of my experience was positive as usual. At CityMD i am always treated in a kind and timely matter.. the place is always clean, and the staff is always nice. I just hope they figure out a better way to have people sign up in the morning to get tested instead of waiting on a line for two hours in the cold when they might potentially have covid 🤧🤒

Been a patient at this location since it started, as well as my family. Tried to call to see a doctor October 20, 2020, to see if they can take me for a pinched back nerve. Young lady who answered phone stated there was a line outside to come in, and it may be a wait. I asked if that line was for covid testing she replied It doesnt matter why they are out there. Of course it matters, because if these people were there to be tested I would not come in, I have medical conditions. So I did not go. I will take my family elsewhere from now on. DOES THIS MATTER NOW.....

Couldn’t recommend City MD of Bellmore enough! Went in for a rapid Covid test. Sign in was extremely easy and I couldn’t have waited more than 5-10 minutes to be seen. Test was painless and I received the results via email within 15 minutes. Great place to get tested for Covid!

I needed to be tested for the COVID 19 and called before going there. What I noticed during our phone call was that they were very forthcoming in answering my questions. Not all COVID testing is free everywhere you go but you will not be charged at CityMD. I had previously called GoHealth Urgent Care and they provide COVID testing but will charge up to $400 and insurance is not covering it. With GoHealth which is part of the Prohealth group they are not forthcoming on the phone and you must be very direct in your questioning to get to that fact. Otherwise, you will end up with a big bill in the mail only after the fact. But I’m glad 😀 I dealt with CityMD where they were professional and treated me with dignity. As it should be at all times with all patients. The doctor also had no problem answering a few questions during my visit.

I wish I could give this place 0 stars. I had a very uncomfortable experience at City MD. To start, the office staff person said aloud what I was coming in for in the waiting room with other patients and office staff. I waited so long that the automatic lights turned off on me in the room 4 times. Once I finally saw the doctor, he made it clear he did not know where my vaccine was supposed to go and that he had to look it up. He used INAPPROPRIATE and unprofessional language with me about where my vaccine should/shouldn’t go. I should have left as soon as he said this to me. The vaccine I needed is intramuscular to the deltoid and he placed it in the fatty tissue of my posterior upper extremity even though I pointed exactly to the spot I had my first round of vaccine in. I am a health care professional and would never treat a patient this way. I will never return here and I would never recommend anyone else to use this City MD.

I have been here more time than I can count. Everytime I come the nurses, doctors and receptionist are fantastic. Everyone is always friendly, caring and respectful. Im never in the office for more than 30 minutes but I never feel rushed, my needs are always met and questions are always answered. I recently went in with what I thought was a bad head cold, but because I was running a temperature they recommended I take a covid test. The doctor (female, red head, cant remember her name) was so gentle I barely felt the swab. My covid test was negative, but I was diagnosed with bronchitis. So much for the head cold. This place is great. I wish every medical office was like this one.

The lines are long but that’s expected due to the second wave of covid that is hitting our cities.My review is about my experience once you enter the doors at CITYMD. I’ve been to a few locations (Bellmore, Bay Shore, Lindenhurst and Lake Grove) an overall my experience has been great. The team greeting you at the front desk has been super helpful and courteous. If you have any questions about your visit, they are more than willing to answer you or get someone that can further assist you.The Doctors and the rest of the staff that actually see you and do the covid testing are super nice and try to make you feel calm so that you don’t panic with the test results that they are about to give you. They listen to you and explain the entire procedure very clearly.I work in the medical field and I am happy to say that CITYMD has treated me the same way that I treat my patients and my current place of employment. Keep up the good work TEAM and thank you for all you guys do!!

This office is negative rating horrible horrible customer service. I took a covid 19 test on september 11 and still haven’t recieved my results. i called several times and no one can give me an answer and keep blaming the lab. I have asked them to call the lab but they too lazy and incompetent to do this for me. Basically i would have died had wake and buried and still no results. A bunch of morons. Stay away from this place.

This place is great. Every time I get sick they have a knowledgeable staff that gets me back on my feet.They have an x-ray machine and if you think you may have pneumonia theyll run a test for you. Ive had bronchitis a couple times and the treatments Ive received have worked well and fast.Also, they are pretty amazing at anything having to do with the lungs. I have asthma and they got me everything I need for it.Their login system is easy and convenient. The tine it takes to get an appointment is rather fast and parking is usually easy.I highly recommended this place for adults and children that need an appointment immediately.

I am so grateful to these people. I dont know where to begin. Pretty fast service and take the time to explain and treat you like a human being. They found two issues, one of which I believe is the cause of some other issues Ive been having which I will discuss with my specialist. This place has the most professional and kind hearted doctors and staff. Ive been here 3 times. So far Im blown away. They take your complaint seriously and get things done. I was diagnosed yesterday with something I think any other doctor would have blown off but Dr. Canter took that extra step and actually helped me. He got the right diagnosis that fit all my symptoms. Then today their PA Penny called because they found something else incidentally which is important and can be helped. Even though they are not my regular doctor I feel like their care has been exceptional. I dont feel like a meal ticket with them I feel like a patient being heard and taken care of. Im just so grateful.

After visiting here on Sunday, and only being given a steroid, I ended up at my regular doctor days later because I did not get any better. My doctor then prescribed me an antibiotic which she said should have been done in the first place. Over $50 in copays ,and days of work missed, which could have been avoided if the doctor would have given me antibiotics along with the steroid in the first place.

Came in at 10 pm at night. Caught a upper respiratory infection, and I knew it couldnt wait until the morning to see my primary dtr. Went in at 10 pm, and was out before 10:30 pm. Prescription of antibiotics was transmitted to my 24 hour pharmacy.CityMD has made it so easy to walk right in! They are very clean, the staff is always nice. Very long wait, but was not crowded. Doctors are not friendly. Would not recommend going here.
