Once upon a time I really liked this store. I bought the product even at inflated prices to make donations to those in need. But now the attitude of workers towards customers has changed for the worse. Here I learned what discrimination is, I was repeatedly humiliated when they heard my accent. But today, hearing my accent, a store worker pounced on me and demanded to put on a mask above my nose. In addition to swearing at me, she used force and took away the goods with which I went to the checkout. At the same time, she attracted the store staff to help her in every possible way in expelling me from the store. The employees of this store insulted me, humiliated me and kicked me out of the store, saying that this was their territory and they would not serve me. When entering the store, on the doors, on the windows, I did not see any mask required signs. The workers refused to show the stores rules, claiming it was Washington state law. As I left, she said to me, laughing, Welcome to Washington State! Although I have been living in this state for many years, and Im a citizen of this country! WHAT WILL HAPPEN NEXT???

I bought a washing machine and so far it seems to work fine BUT.......it weights 213 pounds so I asked them to load it into the back of my pick up truck. I am 79 years old and handicapped. Once it was barely over the bumper I asked if they could push it forward into the truck bed. They told me NO! I had to do it myself.... I stood there flabbergasted....standing there leaning on my two canes I explained I had a heart condition and couldnt do it myself but they refused to even move it 24 further in! GO FIGURE!!!!!! I struggled for over a half hour at my peril.

This used to be my favorite place to get furniture in Bellingham, especially as a college student on a budget who loves to decorate. A year ago, they had amazing prices. Now it’s just ridiculous. They have a really cool coffee table worth maybe 100 bucks and it’s priced at 450 (originally 850 somehow)? For a used piece?? Another couch is 1,500??? It’s absolutely insane. They get this stuff for free, so it mark it up THAT high seems very gross to me

Wait, my money doesnt go to a CEO but back the community and they want to keep items out of the landfill? Its too good to be true! This place rocks

They are lovely to work with and most gracious when you bring your donations over. If you require a furniture pickup.... good luck! They provide a date when they will arrive but don’t come or call if they are late or worse not arrive at all! When you try to reschedule, no one is available to assist even though they provide an “assistance” phone number! So frustrating! Too bad, it’s lovely furniture and a perfectly operational ceiling fan!

I stopped in at their store, and found a good selection of items. I was specifically looking at furniture for a Client who is on a limited budget and unable to shop for themselves. I found their prices to be exceptionally good...ditto on their customer service. The persons who complain about their prices should really be ashamed of themselves. Theyve obviously never priced out the true cost of furnishings, and dont seem to understand that the proceeds are going to a very good cause. I will definitely return and highly recommend The Habitat For Humanity store to others.

Nice selection but customer service is almost pleasantly hostile. If they forget your discount they cant fix it. I bought a lamp, didnt get out the door before I realized it had a weird socket type making it nearly useless. They refused to even give store credit saying they would get fired. For a 3$ lamp? Really? Just bizarre.

Was super disappointed in their mercenary pricing. Holy sticker shock for second hand furniture. 😲 Im a single mom on a tight budget no way I could afford anything in there. Saw a lot of prices that was new pricing on used furniture. They get those items for free and I think its a bit unethical to put a price on it that would be what you would pay for it new. I expected competitive prices. Could not find a single person to ask questions of. Had to wait at checkout for a good twenty minutes. I gave a two star rating only because they have a good selection, stores well well set up. However if you go expect high end pricing for used furniture.

I usually dont give places under 2 stars, what they do is wonderful, and they let kids, from Options High school, learn how to work and clean and organize they get a 5 stars for that but that being said their prices are out of line for furniture, pillows, and other decor pieces. I was looking for a metal and glass table, $30 to $50.00 for donated items seems a bit steep I was looking more in the $15 to $25.00 range maybe because everything is extremely expensive in Bellingham, they can get it but Ill look other places and its sad because they are in my neighborhood, my husband and I want to support them first before going other places but its getting hard to even do that.

We love going here! They have such fantastic deals on furniture. They also have an appliance section as well as hardware/ducting/plumbing, etc... They offer 3 diff. colored tag sales several days a week where you can get up to 75% off their already pretty affordable prices. This is always our first stop if we need a table or a chair or a dresser, etc.

I just got an amazing, clean and comfortable couch from them. I have gotten everything from random art pieces, to furniture, to cups and plates at the Habitat. Their prices are fair and their volunteers are helpful. I also love that my money is going to support the community.

While Im sure they do good work...As a donator: I tend to prefer Goodwill, they just take most stuff... Here they tend to want to select carefully. Also their hours are not great, Im not taking off work to donate. As a shopper: I cant recall every seeing anything that I even bothered to check the price on.

I called to schedule a donation pick up because we were cleaning out a rental that was going on the market. The scheduled pick up was for Monday morning, instead I get a call saying they wanted to know what all they would be picking up (I dont live there so I could only give a general description of household items and small furniture). I was told that they couldnt come and they were booked far out in advance. I was also told that it would be $100 for each trip to PICK UP A DONATION??? Far cry from my original call to schedule a pick up for Monday morning. I wont bother with this organization again.

Lots of variety at this store. If you need to furnish a rental property, or find supplies for plumbing, wiring, etc., or even need to find a window, this id tge place to go. And the staff is helpful to explain the color coded system of sales. Be sure to check out both sides of the store, the furniture section as well as thr main section.

Top Value Thriftstore, prices super fair and perpetual sales on colored tags. WENT in on a super hunch that I could find a wire basket for my bike, looked through all the industrial stuff, and nothing was quite right, considered cutting up a kennel that I saw for my project but, ended up finding the perfect dog worthy deep rubbercoated wire basket on the homeware side for my ebike. Everything was on sale to a certain degree Beyond marked prices and I also found some medical tools for (about 1$ ea scissors and clamps,) and a bag of washers for about 0.50, insane dealz

WOW, what a store. Its huge (2 large buildings), clean and great prices. It is the best laid out store we have been in. We travel in our motorhome and have been in HFH stores across the USA. It is so organized, priced right and has some of the friendliest workers we have come across. When we visit the area, it is one of the first places we shop. The variety of items is unbelievable. You cant go wrong shopping at this store.

I went in to buy some stuff marked a few dollars. Almost to check out the female manager said those are mislabeled they go for a lot more. I will *never* donate anything ever again and i will never help on any homes any more and i will never shop at this store again. Over priced and this was the second time this has happened. Funny how greedy people are when it comes to donated materials. I would rather buy new from here on out i was just browsing on a friday. I will stay away from this store.

Good place to find odds and ends. It seems to get better level, quality of donations than its sister store in Mt Vernon. It nearly downtown Bham, on the WTA route 331, or a short walk from the main WTA station.Very organized, recently expanded its footprint when they expanded to the adjacent storefront. This newer storefront appears to be set up to showcase their furniture donations. The Mt Vernon store is a little more fun to rumage thru.
