HORRIBLE customer service in the compounding pharmacy. I just moved to Bellingham from out of state and have been trying to get my prescription moved from the other pharmacy and filled at Hoagland. Bad idea. I have called multiple times and left several messages. Now supposedly my prescription has been moved from my old pharmacy but Hoagland cant find it in their system. I should have paid attention to all of the negative reviews but thought Hoagland was the only compounding pharmacy in Bellingham. I will find alternate methods to get my prescription filled.FYI - Makers Compounding pharmacy in Mt Vernon mails prescriptions within the state of Washington and they have a five star review.

Been going there for almost 3 years for cancer and cancer related medication, I cant move around to well so I always use drive thru theres always a smile on their face and prompt service

When I had an unusual vaccination situation, Hoagland Pharmacy really came through for me. Im so grateful. Furthermore, the employees and pharmacists there were so friendly! Highly recommended!!!

I do not recommend Hoagland Pharmacy. They took several months to process a prescription for a cpap machine. Some of the delay was due to my doctor and my insurer, but their complacency and wait and see approach also contributed. (My new provider took 24 HOURS, not months) Hoagland requires a great deal of personal data to do business with them, but could not tell me how they secure this info. Then, after an initial set up appointment, Bobby did not return several calls over several weeks regarding my follow up questions. Now, Hoagland has lost their in network status and the machine had to be returned. I specifically asked about when the machine had to be returned and was told there would be no more charges. I verified this a second time when I returned the machine. Despite these two assurances there would be no more charges, another invoice was sent to me. The first finance person I talked to told me the other two Hoagland employees were wrong. When the manager called me back, she explained it was all the insurance companys fault, regardless of what the other two employees told me. She really needed that $21. So Hoagland gets my $21 and a review.

Melissa administered my COVID vaccine and I couldnt have had a better experience. I have intense needle phobia, but I barely felt anything. Experience was so good I had to come on here and say something.Thanks Melissa!

I find the person who answers the phone for the pharmacy to be unprofessional, she doesn’t seem to be patient or pleasant, she appears to be put out by having to answer the phone.I will be ending my association with Hoaglands and finding a more friendly pharmacy to spend my money at.

Im homebound, so I switched from bigger pharmacy to Hoaglands for their delivery service. After using a big pharmacy and their Rx app, Ill admit Ive gotten spoiled, and Hoaglands feels a bit outdated. They have a website to refill prescriptions, but its nothing more than a text window to enter your prescription number and a brief message. Still, at least its something, so I thought Id give it a try. Ive been using Hoaglands for 3 months now, and Ive had 2 prescriptions that they said were delivered, that I never received, and one of my daughters prescriptions got switched with another patients, so they each got each others medication. The switch really shocked me. That just shouldnt happen. The staff is friendly, but I kind of feel like Im sacrificing good service for home delivery.

Needed a plastic strap for my C-pap mask. They said my prescription had expired no problem Ill pay cash? I was told its illegal for them to sell me a plastic strap without a current prescription? Wow! Is there some kind of concern I may injure myself or somebody else? Sir, its the law!!!I drove down the road to North Star Sleep specialist and they had no problem providing me with a stupid little plastic strap so I could sleep through the night.

I havent filled a prescription, but they are the only place in town that will recycle/dispose of unused/expired medication, for which Im grateful. It looked very nice, though with an inviting, clean ambisncu, and the immunization counter is right by the door, which is very smart for limiting contact by sick people.

What can I say? if they dont have it you dont need it.Its like the Hardware sales of medical needs.

The employee who answered the phone had a lovely, clear voice that was easy to hear and understand. She went the second mile bychecking your inventory and flavor options.My husband is on the way!

Would give them no stars if I could. They dont return messages and downright lie to the doctors that they are leaving messages. Staff is condescending and rude. As much as I prefer to do business locally, it is better to go online for supplies and medication than to deal with a company who consistently puts patients health at risk.

I well remember when the owner was in high school and delivered part-time for the late Glen Gossage, who I always held in high regard. Mike was a conscientious and friendly fellow back then in the 70’s, and he brought these qualities into his own business. Which is why I am still a customer after many years. The folks who work in Long Term Care are always helpful and polite, and take care to explain new medications well, including ones for my cats. I love that I am supporting a local business through my custom here, and I want to say that I especially love the delivery folks, who are always on time, and smiling. Sometimes they make my day. Marianne and Dan both know my cat’s name and take time to greet him properly. Now that’s class, folks.

I recently visited Hoagland Pharmacy to get vaccinated for something that was not available at my doctors office. I showed up 30 minutes early for my appointment and I was greeted by a lady with a very pleasant smile. She immediately assisted me and informed me of what’s going to take place and what I needed to do. After a short wait I received my shot given to me by a professional nurse and I hardly felt it. She was so good at what she does and also very friendly.This place is highly recommended and I’m so sure that you’d be very satisfied as I was.

Hoaglands is an exceptionally operated business. Ive never dealt with a more friendly and professional staff. The pharmacists go the extra mile in educating the consumer. The thing I love the most is how organized they all are in getting you in and out quickly. The entire staff is always friendly and willing to help. Their prices are very competitive. The store and bathrooms are overly clean and sanitary. I will be a loyal customer for years to come and I will model my own businesss customer service after theirs. Please support this locally owned family business.

Compounding pharmacy serving all of Whatcom County.

A couple petty points. The signage for line ups is deceptive. Once a while back (I hadnt been there many times). The pick up line was long ... fortunately I was there just to drop off a prescription. So I lined up in the Drop off line.. Cool, Im the only one in this line. Eventually, a person come to that station and said Yes?. I said I just need to drop this off. did you not see the line up?. I looked back up at the sign stammering nothing in particular. She took the papers out of my hand and I just walked away.After years in retail ... I wasnt upset. I know how it can be. But, just ignore the signage and look for the line. lol.I also wish there was an e-mail link available to the public for concerns that dont need to be aired publicly but need attention.Aside from those details over the years, theyve been great and have always tried hard to do what they can to help.

They only had pharmacy line open and refused to help in the orher parts of the store. I guess patients dont really need medical supply after major surgery. Especially before a holiday weekend. I could not buy med equipment or even ask questions, and would have had to wait in a 20 min line just to buy what I found and needed.I now know you do not care about customers.

Calling on the phone takes a long time to speak to a person. If my call is so important then answer it timely! When I finally got connected to a person, they took >5 mins. to determine if my rx. were ready. If you have both compounded and regular rx., they apparently do not communicate with each other. I will seek out another pharmacy going forward.

Excellent choice, even if youre just travelling thru Bellingham.We were just in town visiting family when my wife needed a prescription. Hoagland was highly recommended so we had her doctor send the Rx to their Yew St. location. The staff was very helpful and attentive. They were also able to suggest some additional medicine to help.I would definitely use them again.

Consistently really helpful to myself, my mom, and my moms caregivers regarding her medisets. They are great about answering questions, providing additional information, and generally making my life easier.

Service is usually terrible. No on cares if prescriptions are ready when they say they will be or about the inconvenience of them not being ready. Staff are rude. Thanks Kristen for being totally unconcerned about the inconvenience.

All of my experiences with Hoagland have been very positive. I have called there several times for information and gone in the pharmacy many times. Everyone I have talked to has been very kind, helpful and polite.

Ive had great service with these people. Contrary to what some people have said here, I have always had exceptional service when phoning in to ask questions.

I used their nurse for travel shots 3 years ago (Helen?) and she was awesome! I had called around to get quotes from other Rx and needed to go to infusion solutions for something Hoaglands didnt carry. Hoaglands in my opinion is a 5*, where infusion is a 3*!

Stellar compounding pharmacists, skilled, knowledgeable, available for questions. Staff is very helpful, willing to work with me on those occasional times when a refill is needed sooner than usual.

If you want something unusual go to Hoaglands. They have different items than the chains.For my day to day RXs I go to Target (easier to fill out of town and Steve there is great)... But Hoagland would probably be my #2 choice.

I have always had good experiences with hoaglands pharmacy. I have found the staff to be very helpful and not too pushy. I would recommend this pharmacy over walgreens, it might cost a little more but I always support local businesses where I can.

Our family has been getting our flu shots here for years and they have great service. This year Ruth was outstanding , so nice and skilled.

I just called in to pay my adult daughters prescription cost of $56.00. I spoke to a very polite person but could not take a payment for a prescription it had to be handles by the billing department???? They were out of the office.Dissappointing and frustrating!

Not impressed with the customer service. I was looking for the big bottles of hand sanitizer like used at the doctor offices and hospitals. When I asked if they carried the big bottles like used at the hospital the lady told me she didnt know she had never been to the hospital????? Really....wont be back there

So I only ever use this Pharmacy because they are the only ones close that stock a special toothpaste my son needs for his braces, this is a toothpaste that my insurance covers - CAREMARK which Hoglands is an in-network provider, this means that they signed a contract with Caremark agreeing to accept their reimbursement rates on prescriptions. Back in February I went to pick up a tube of this toothpaste and instead of charging me the $.84 they charged me $24 saying they can no longer bill my insurance. I paid the money then called my insurance company to find out why they are not covering this toothpaste? And of course they said it is still covered and they should be billing my insurance. My husband called and got it taken care of - we were told it was a misunderstanding. Well here it is 3 months later and I go to pick up the same toothpaste and the same dang thing happens!!! I dispute it with the lady that is filling in for someone else (so I was told) and she straight up told me that they are choosing not to bill insurance for this toothpaste because they dont make enough money from it???!!!! WTH?? I pay my insurance and go to this pharmacy because I am told they are in-network and accept my insurance and because they feel like it I have to pay almost $25 for a tube of toothpaste? I am so very disappointed with this pharmacy and they have forever lost not only my business but my families business. Last time I checked patient care should be #1 - it seems this family owned pharmacy is all about the bottom line.

Not the largest or the cheapest, but they are conveniently located and probably have what youre looking for. Helpful, friendly, staff, too.

Ive been leaving messages for three weeks for a call back regarding my CPAP supplies. They dont bother returning calls....Im done with them, they lost a customer. Terrible service.
