Worked with a doctor here for some issues. She has been wonderful in suggesting alternatives when I had opposed some initial suggestions for care. Very understanding individuals that show real patience and a drive to help and get you back to normal or understand what might be going on. Everyone at the office is so helpful and great. They really seem to care about their patients.Thank you for all of your hard work!

Dr Gullickson, his nurse and anesthesiologist were all so friendly, caring and thorough! I was very nervous, and they answered all my questions and put my mind at ease! A great staff all around! Youre in good hands! Sarah

I don’t have too much to say about the doctors as I have not been in any of my moms appointments this year. I however do talk on the phone weekly with the nurses for my moms care, they are quick with calls, take all the extra time in during the call to get new orders put in or day surgeries scheduled all the time for us. These nurses and schedulers go the extra mile for us all the time.

They gave the person I caretake for fentanyl. She is a recovered opiate addict, and even made a point to call the office ahead of time to have this noted on her chart. When I got her home she felt super terrible and looked even worse. She called the office to ask if she had been given an opiate (she recognized the feeling) and indeed they had. Even though she did her part and was very diligent about calling ahead and making sure she was safe. The doctor then went on to blame her, as a victim, for not telling them in the appointment where they were using anesthesia on her, giving her anxiety and wooziness... WHICH IS WHY SHE CALLED AHEAD. This should mean someone’s job. This is not okay. I am an advocate for my client and I stand for her on this.

Doctor gullickson- not helpful, not considerate.New anesthesia group...cuts costs, but also cuts patient preferences and patient comfort to have nurse anesthetist instead if anesthesiologists. Not impressed.

First and foremost, I hate giving bad reviews but I in my defense, I tried right up the the supervisor of the business office to resolve my concern. I also want to say that I would recommend the doctor so if you have good insurance, this review is not for you. This review aimed at the business office. I do like the doctor and feel I was treated wonderfully by the medical staff there. This year I have had the need to have some essential medical procedures, knowing that they would not be covered by insurance but apply to my deductible. I expected to be paying for these procedures and follow-up out of pocket. When I asked for a projection of what I would be charged for a follow-up appointment with the Doctor who had just done my procedures one week earlier. I was told they could only give me a range between $80 and $250. I told them I need a better idea than that since I had to plan for ALL of the out of pocket expenses. Their answer after I ran it up to the supervisor was to charge me $250 since I was now being consider a new patient even though I have been dealing with the same clinic and same doctor for over 7 years. I did not go for the the follow-up appointment and was disappointed that they couldnt do better than they did in their handling of my concerns. So far my out of pocket expenses for my procedures have been $1500, which I expected. You would think that a doctors office, I just paid that much $$$ out of pocket, would seriously mark me as a new patient so they can charge me the maximum for a follow-up appointment? Sorry, this doesnt work for me. I was seriously disappointed. I am sure the doctors have nothing to do with this, so again, this is not about the doctor. I am not doing a follow up at all until next year when my insurance is better but I wont do the follow-up here.

This was my first colonoscopy experience and had heard plenty of others stories that werent necessarily good so really didnt know what to expect. The entire process from check in at the front desk to going home was more quick and pleasant than ever expected. The nurses were personable and efficient. Dr. Benjamin Siemanowski, was personal and professional. As quick as these procedures are and as many patients that they have lined up in a day, you are treated like a person, not a number. I will be much at ease going back should I need another procedure and would recommend this clinic to anyone.

Barry Levinson “blackballed me” from receiving a colonoscopy - because I DID NOT RECEIVE a phone msg about the appointment time/date. Since I had not heard from NWG, I called to inquire about the procedure details. (Only to be told it was intended to be the previous day.) Barry’s “self righteousness” would not even listen to me. I can’t be at an appointment that I was not notified about. This “Mission Statement” is a crock! Our mission is to provide the most comfortable and convenient setting to deliver quality gastrointestinal endoscopic care to our patients. Our goal is to be recognized for our excellence in gastrointestinal procedural care, by stressing the factors of comfort, convenience, patient care, and equal access. I Simple Want a Medical Procedure and to be Notified of my Appointment Date. Apparently, that is not a part of their “mission.” Your office fails to contact me (when you have my cell number and voicemail) and I am the one who is penalized. Disappointing & Unbelievable!

Im a little surprised at the negative reviews, but I definitely understand we all have different experiences. As for me, NW Gastro has been great. The reception desk and the medical assistance staff are super nice, organized, and professional! At times, Ive had to wait a while for an appointment, but then again, there are waits for medical appointments all over the county. My gastroenterologist, Dr. Schoenecker, is top notch! Ive been a patient of his for over eight years. He has an easy-going demeanor (which, IMO, is great, given the delicate nature of his business), and is very thorough, spending all the time necessary to answer all my questions and address all my concerns, despite the short-ish amount of time allotted for appointments these days. Ive always had really positive experiences with NW Gastro, and I recommend you give them a try.

Professional - Polite - EfficientHad to go here for the first time for a procedure. Facility was very clean, several staff members I met were very polite and nice. I was allowed to check in early and I was prepared and taken on time, if not a bit early. I didnt know any of the doctors and so a nurse suggested Dr. Ben Siemenowski during my pre-op call.Dr. Siemenowski introduced himself and offered at least two times to answer any questions I had. Having none, they got me done and out in record time. Im sorry I didnt note the name of one nurse that administered the IV, but she was awesome. Gave me just the right dose and when I awoke I was ready to go. Im not sure why others had less than 5-Star experiences, but I found these folks to be the best of the best. I was surprised at the extent this office is equipped and I would highly recommend Dr. Siemenowski.

My wife and I have had the best of care at NW Gastro. We have both had some serious medical issues. Cant say enough good things. I am sorry to read of anothers bad experience. The lack of e-mail contact is a legitimate concern. I will point this out to them. But, I would say that NW Gastro is as good care as you will get anywhere in the US.
