Most doctors are OK. The other half of the equation is how the office handles billings, prescriptions, nurse assistance and insurance issues. As of 2014/06, Bellingham Urology is VOID of a competent office staff and communications. If you want to spend all your time on the phone and doing Insurance Appeals, use them, other wise look elsewhere for a team you can work with!

I was very disappointed in my experience at Bellingham Urology Specialists, the doctor that I saw was knowledgeable but his patient skills seemed lacking. I felt unwelcome during my visit and that I was a burden of his time or something. My consultation lasted maybe 15 minutes max. I could have gone to WebMD and gotten the same information for about $300 cheaper.

I read the reviews about this clinic and was really surprised at the negative comments.....i have been going to this clinic to see Dr.O,Keefe for several years due to 2 bouts of bladder cancer and having a cysto. every 6 months..PLUS 2 surgeries......everyone there have always been professional,..to me,,the Drs are great...i don,t care if they aren,t really friendly......i want them to know what they,re doing....i,m on Medicare and have never had billing issues....

Ive had non-bacterial chronic prostatitis for about 5 years. Its a debilitating pain caused by inflammation. For reasons my doctor, Dr. Soren Carlsen, could not ascertain, Bactrim controlled the pain. On my last visit he said, He was no longer comfortable prescribing Bactrim, and stopped the treatment.He advised reading a book called, A Headache in the Pelvis. The book opens up old and now widely disregarded ideas about pelvic pain. That it is caused by sexual shame , sexual abuse, a certain personality type, anxiety and even that it is caused by the guilt of cheating on a partnerIn regarding the link to anxiety the authors make that classic mistake of bad science, mistaking correlation for causality.
