Dr. Sarah Garret is the best! She diagnosed and alleviated years of pain in my ear within 30 minutes! I feel amazing now!

Both of the NDs at this practice are absolutely amazing! They spend time with their patience, looked deep for the root cause of my issue and followed through with me for ongoing blood work for over a year. I highly recommend their practice to all.

I have worked with Dr. Sarah and Joseph Garrett for six years now. As someone who struggles with anxiety related to medicine and doctors, as well as someone who has had three surgeries in the last few years, I can say with confidence that working with this clinic has been a life saver! When I had a fever of 103 back in December 2019, I emailed the client portal and I received a response quickly (On a Saturday!!) with orders to get labs and recommendations for treatment that very day. When my husband and I needed a COVID test, they scheduled us the very next day and it was a hassle free experience. I have many more examples of this kind of exceptional service. They treat my concerns with urgency and concern. They go out of their way to explain things so I understand them. I cant count the times I have cried in this office...tears of joy, fear, and warmth. I’ve always felt comforted by them. They have been with me through so much and I genuinely feel loved and cared for by this office. Thank you!!

Dr. Garrett was successful in diagnosing me with methane based SIBO. I had been working with several traditional doctors prior to visiting him (over 2 years) and was amazed at his ability to quickly assess my situation and provide not only a quick diagnosis, but also get me on the road to recovery. I would highly recommend him to anyone dealing with this issue, as he provided care and guidance through the whole recovery. Having SIBO is not a pleasant thing to live with, so I feel extremely fortunate in finding someone as caring and compassionate as Dr. Garrett.

Fairhaven Integrative Health is THE BEST! They take all our insurance (and we don’t have the good kind), are always helpful and have fantastic bedside manner. My favorite part is because they are a husband/wife team, the males in our household can see Dr Joe and the females in our household can see Dr Sarah. While I didn’t initially realize the importance of this, it’s been incredible to see how our family reacts to the doctor that they are most comfortable with. I really enjoyed being a patient of Dr. Joseph Garretts at Fairhaven Integrative Health! Dr. Garrett was extremely professional and thorough. He listened carefully, reviewed lab results thoroughly and even caught errors within lab results (one scenario in particular when the normative value was off). Dr. Garrett always had time for his patients. He never appeared rushed or out of time, but calmy listened and collaborated to formulate solutions along my healthcare journey. I moved out of state and therefore had to change doctors eventually, but my new doctor has commented on the thoroughness of the health report Dr. Garrett transferred over to them, in order to assist with their continuity of my healthcare. I had appointments with both Dr Joseph G and Dr Sarah G.So refreshing to have doctors who listen and look at you as a whole person, not simply shoving pills at you without consideration of who you are, as “regular” western medicine doctors do....I found the doctor I was looking for in both of them. They are young, full of enthusiasm to help and take care of you. It is easy to get an appointment, contact them any time of the day. They follow up after your appointment and check on you. They both are great at listening, giving very down to earth explanations to my questions, and they have never rushed me. I was helped and healed from a long lasting medical problem, and I am very grateful for that. Glad they moved to our town, and even though my insurance doesn’t cover the visits, I would rather go to them. If you are looking for a new family doctor either one of them would be a great choice.

I went to see Dr. Sarah Garrett strictly for better control over my thyroid problem. On the new patient paperwork I had to fill out all my health issues; I have a lot of them because I went undiagnosed with Lyme disease for four years. I was nearing the end of my 2+ years treatment for Lyme and needed to make sure I could find a doctor who could monitor ONLY my thryoid; I wasnt asking for help with anything else, I have my amazing doctors for my other health concerns. I received nothing but attitude from the first minute I walked through the door. I thought about walking out because she made me feel so bad. My guess, only because Ive seen it with a million doctors before is that I perplexed Dr. Sarah Garrett therefore she blamed me. She did end up running some tests for my thyroid though. What hurts more than my 7 year battle with Lyme disease, doctors like you. A good doctor tries to learn more about what they arent clear on and they think outside the box. Im lucky to have found a crew of great docs. They are out there, just not at this office!

Finally, after many years of a medical system filled with doctors that simply shove pills at me without consideration of who I am...I found the doctor I was looking for...While able to prescribe conventional medication, Dr. G has taken a natural first approach with me and my health/well being. Professional, extremely knowledgeable and friendly, I give Dr. G and FIH my highest recommendation.

I was given an appointment right away when I called, the same day, even though the office was closed that day! Dr Joseph Garrett happened to be cleaning up in the office and let me in for a quick appointment anyways. My first experience with Alternative medicine, and it was a good one. Dr. Sarah really takes the time to treat your whole person, not just your immediate symptoms. Plus, they are willing to work around my hours if needed. Also, you know a place is doing something right when 2 different medical practitioners (one from Bellingham, one from Seattle) recommend you try Fairhaven Integrative Health within a couple of days of each other.
