I hope that the rest of the staff is friendlier than their receptionist, Janet. I found her to be very blunt, and cold. I felt like I was a bother to her busy time, and would prefer to go elsewhere at this time. I see that this place has high marks, so I really hope that the rest of the staff has better customer service than the receptionist.

I had a wonderful experience at this clinic. I was in an extreme time crunch as I needed to see a specialist so I could return to work and only had one week to do so. The doctor and nurse I worked with were so friendly and attentive and made sure I received the testing and education I needed to proceed. I would highly recommend Bellingham asthma and allergy if you need a specialist in this field.

Dr. Elkayam was wonderful. My experience being allergy tested was so much better than I was hoping. Dr.Elkayam was thorough and kind and never seemed rushed. He spent a significant amount of time talking to me, and even valued my partners feedback. Jennifer did my allergy testing, and was quick, kind, and efficient. They excel at warm hand-offs. I notified Dr. Elkayam of my anxiety, and he passed it along to Jennifer, who was a total joy to work with. I was pleased with every aspect of my care. I would, however, urge the clinic as a whole to add pronouns and preferred name to their patient registration. This is the simplest, easiest way to support and welcome transgender patients. Would highly recommend BAAI to anyone.

When we moved here from Seattle we were so hesitant to transfer care from our regular Virginia Mason Asthma & Allergy but practically speaking we needed to. I have been consistently surprised and delighted by the quality of care and providers here. We have seen Dr Elkayam in the past and Dr Andrews the last couple times. I feel well informed, HEARD and worked WITH for pediatric food allergies. I feel that they are progressive and very experienced. Today my 4.5yo passed his first oral food challenge in the office to peanuts. I was on the verge of a panic attack upon arrival. ... They had tablets, movies, trains, comfortable chairs, incredibly kind and skilled nurses and staff. I just am so grateful for my son to be in their care. Thank you!!!

$$$ before care. Our account was less than 90 days past due, circumstances around a very ill child. Small balance due, sent to collections and kicked out if the clinic after several years. Red flagged for life. Communicated, tried to remedy, account/billing specialist was unwilling and lacked any compassion however acknowledging the early write-off as their prerogative.Turned out to be a blessing as my son was being mis-diagnosed and an underlying eosiniphilic disease was not being treated.

Since the first time I met the staff, I have been impressed with not just their medical knowledge, but how warm and open they are to listening to your concerns, answering questions I am sure they have heard thousands of times as if it was the first time, providing clear and detailed analysis and information a patient can understand, and in general dealing with each patient as if they were old friends. Oh, and they saved my life, so that rates pretty high, too. :)

I absolutely love Bellingham Asthma and Allergy Clinic. Between myself and two of my kids I would say that we have seen and been through most aspects of the clinic. Dr. Elkayam is wonderful with children and really listens to what THEY have to say about how they feel. He is very descriptive and detailed and comes up with a plan to help whatever your particular situation. We have also been doing allergy shots and Barb has been incredibly patient and encouraging of my 5 year old. She has done great. There is a toy area with books and toys for kids and we always feel welcome there. We have never been treated with anything but the utmost respect and i am usually there by myself with a 6 year old, 4 year old and a baby. I recommend them to all of my friends and cant say enough good things about them.

The whole clinic team are more than s/heroes to our family clan. They have treated FOUR generations of our extended family since 1994, when Dr. El Kayam turned our then three year old sons health around.
