I felt I paid for nothing. I trusted her because I knew she knew my ex-wife attorney. I believed her when she said she doesn’t mixed friendships with her clients however, I felt like Ms. Spector had little consideration for my case, and at times I felt she was working on my ex-wife’s behalf with her friend / co-worker Ms. Nolan by allowing my case to be prolonged. Me and my ex had signed an agreement and the Judge wasnt aware of it because it was never presented. I found this out towards the end of my case. Unfortunately, I had to seek another attorney which I came out with everything I initially asked for when I filed.

Amy was extremely professional and knowledgeable in my child custody case. She responded to every email and phone call in a timely manner and her courtroom etiquette was effective and precise. She has a way of connecting clients during such an emotional and stressful time and explains things thoroughly so you never feel confused by all of the court jargon. Poor communication, inadequate office personnel with low customer service skills that don’t relay information to opposing counsel by deadline. Had to point out and spell out mistakes made by lawyer and staff and get billed for it. Promises to fight for client but doesn’t deliver. Had to request our signed court docs because they didnt send them automatically and found huge calculation mistake that had to be explained to the lawyer which she shouldve caught at court.

Everyone in this office is great to work with, very responsive, and all around amazing people. Definitely will use them again if needed.

I used Kelly Hicks to set up a POA and will for my wife and I. Her and her staff were very flexible with meeting and getting everything set up. During our meeting she was very accommodating with some out of the norm situations and had a few suggestions/recommendations that we didn’t think about that made a lot of sense for our situation. Very professional and walked us through all the steps to get everything in order. Would recommend to anyone looking for getting either of those important documents set up for their family.

Not responsive at all. Took forever to get a response. Don’t seem to care about the welfare of the children in the cases cause they are too busy charging you for every little thing and half the time are not even doing what you are being charged for. I got charged for them to send a one word email that didn’t answers my questions. So then I have to re ask the question only to get charged again. Money hungry is all these gals are. I wish I had went with the opposing attorney. I am so disappointed that Hicks and Spector were referred to me by a good friend.

I had used Kelly on my case, involving child custody issues. She was not responsive at all. Would take a week to get a response from her, and other times never did get a response from her. I would recieve communication from the opposing counsel days after, which ended up being on Sunday.She allowed opposing council to push her around, and allowed 2 yrs to pass with no court date, just more reasons why they needed more pre trial meetings that I was not able to attend.Her office staff, Elizabeth, the absolute most unprofessional person I ever met. To the point she sent an email to Kelly to talk trash on me, and I guess didnt realize that she sent it to me.Would never recommend, save your money, and energy. They will bill you for repenstation that you will never receive. Very disappointed, not a father rights attorney, that they would make you beleive they are.

I called to inquire about a consultation and the fees and the lady said it was free. So I asked to schedule an appointment. Nope! I was put on hold for 15 mins for them to ask what county is it for. Once I said the county she put me on hold again for 5 more minutes then hung up. I called back to request the address and ask wld It b better to just come up there to schedule because I’ve been trying to. She said exact words “wat county? Oh we only do St. Clair. Very horrible service. Not my money!! Thanks

I searched online for a reputable family lawyer in the Belleville, IL area, being military and stationed in another state, I needed someone I could rely on. Mrs. Hicks was great to work with and walked me through everything. She was very prompt in replying to my phone calls and emails. She even took care of sending the final decision regarding my case to DFAS to update my military pay account. She was great! I would recommend her to anyone in need of a family lawyer.
