I went hear twice (first shot and booster)for my Pfizer vaccine . They were fantastic. I was in there and out of there in 20 minutes. They couldnt have treated me better. When I pulled up in the parking lot; a van bus pulled up behind my car and the driver asked if I wanted a ride to the door. I said wow this is better than hotel service. I gladly took the ride; even though the hospital was less than 100 yards from my car. It was very easy to check in, and find my way to the auditorium for my shot. They were so fast there was only one person ahead of me, and he was gone before I could say wow. After a couple of quick questions, I went down and was given my shot. After the shot I waited 15 minutes and I was good to go.I have to say I commend these people for their positive attitude, and their organization. It made me proud to be a veteran, and to be associated with people like these.

I called this morning to ask if I could go in to the ER because I am worried about having an infection from ticks.Like all VAs now they do not answer their phone.Like all VAs they make you wait through a 30-second speech about suicide ... and in the end they let you know it is better to just off yourself than to to bother them because no one there cares. Then they give you all the options to transfer to... and finally to the operator, which is 0 which you should have pressed in the first place. Then the operator does not answer. Then if you try to leave an angry text message the message you get is that it was an invalid number. If you are a veteran and you are crippled with anger at the VA then you will get more fuel for your anger if you try this hospital

The main reason I love this place is: Ive witnessed the countless lives of veterans be transformed through excellent care and phase based treatment, me being one of them. Children getting back their parents, (my daughter getting her father back), spouses getting their loved ones back, communities getting their members back. If you were to see so many successes happening before your eyes youd surely love this place too.Excellent veteran care.

As a Veteran that suffers from PTSD / chronic pain, I have found the Mental Health Department life saving. The practitioners without exception have been excellent!

The best care my husband has had after being in 2 other facilities. It may be institutional in its decor but the care and cleanliness of this facility is wonderful. Food is great, staff is caringand my husband is always clean shaven and well dressed. Maybe not all units at the VA are this well maintained I don’t know but unit 62A is exemplary in late stage dementia care. Just sorry we did not go there sooner.

Read News article of man missing for 1 to 3 months, he was found in stairwell that was closed for COVID safety reasons. They blocked stairwells for safety Without Checking to be sure they were Empty. No Common Sense. Negligent & Incompetant. I selected 3 stars to be neutral, I was never there so I really cant say one or another.

Everyone has been exceptionally helpful, each department has really been thorough in helping us understand the VA system, how to get proper services, and the collaboration between staff is also impressive.

This hospital is exactly what is wrong with the entire VA health care system. Close the hospital and allow veterans to be treated at civilian hospitals with zero out of pocket expenses. This hospital costs too much to provide quality health care.

Been going there for 15+ years. NEVER had a problem with any facet of the VA. Had numerous issues and have better care through the VA then when I was in private care. Thanks for 5 star service.

First time visit with father in wheelchair. A bit disorienting until you get the lay of the land. Parking without HC emblem is difficult. Everyone (patients, custodial staff, admin, healthcare professionals) very kind and helpful. Check in process was easy peasy. Facilities are older, but well maintained. Lots of activities and programs for the geriatric population including green house, large pool/gym/fitness, computer lab, library, etc. Way better than many geriatric facilities I have seen. Pops enjoyed our visit. Fun place to spend the day, especially in the winter when getting out is a challenge. Looking forward to the indoor farmers market. Will update my first impression after a few more visits.
