Some years ago my mother bought a life insurance policy on her husband. When he passed away Physicians Mutual customer service was so helpful and kind to her. She told me this was so helpful during that difficult time. The life insurance proceeds for her has made all the difference in her life.

My parents have been paying on this life insurance policy for years and years. They have way more than paid for the benefits we will be getting. My family is in dire need of this policy being paid out. We have done everything they have asked. We even overnighted the death certificate the day we got it. It took one week for them to scan the documents in to start the claim. Now we are being told another 10-15 business days to process once it’s scanned in. Then mailing time. Every time we call we are told different intervals. Complete lack of compassion or caring for the family left suffering through a death and now the added financial stress it has caused. I know my parents did not want to put this stress on us! Also, we had similar issues with this company, before Covid when my Mother passed last year.

I was thinking about joining them but after seeing bad reviews and they Keep calling asking about joining because I put my number for more information but the fact that they keep calling and what Im seeing with review I will not be a customer thats not a way to get new customers calling and bugging them so that is bad .Im not a customer but run !!! From them

My father passed away in April. We have two insurance companies. One paid off 3 weeks after the claim was submitted. Physicians uses a third party verifier they keep asking for info they already havemIf you miss their call you will never get through to anyone. SAVE YOURSELF SOME GRIEF DO NOT BUY A POLICY. ****Notice how they dont have anyone responding to online complaints like most companies. Shows how much they dont value customer service

If youre dr. Doesnt know why you died your life insurance policy will not be paid.

UnbelievableNow I am trying to get a check reissued that the bank claims is to old. When I call in to Physicians Mutual, I dont have the date of birth. Now mind you, they have MY information, having already sent me a big check, but now, they are refusing to help me because I dont know the birth date of my deceased relative. My information is on file. But they refuse even to look at my information. How can you not have a system in place for occasions, which has to be often, of being able to check out the beneficiary information when the birth date is unknown? The funny thing, they want me to send, by mail or fax, the same information that they would not take over the phone. But the one who takes supervisor calls said they still would not be able to do anything. Boo!! Shame of you Physicians Mutual for hassling the relative so the dead.

So far I have not received my policy or card. 2 months and still waiting. Hard to get in touch with customer service without a policy number that I have yet to receive
