3 months ago in May of 2020 I came to Murray Scholls Vision Center because they have a nice selection of frames. Worker Anna was very sweet but she was not very knowledgeableI ordered some Dolce Gabbana glasses and was excited about getting them. She said it would take about two weeks.After a month I hadnt heard from them and drop by. Turns out they had my glasses but never called.Then when I tried them on, they were not the correct prescription and she would have to return the glasses to the factory again for another two weeks.I waited for my glasses with excitement and was looking forward to having some clear lenses.They never called me so I stopped in again to find that they had my glasses after a month. When I dropped by, they were out to lunch from 1 to 2 p.m. so I waited for them to come back.After wearing the glasses for a day, I discovered that they were way too tight and giving me a headache. I called them immediately and told them that I would like an appointment to fix the glasses that I had bought. No response.When I had time a couple weeks later, I dropped by to have the glasses adjusted to fit my head, but she said I had to have an appointment.Also when I asked her why she didnt call me it turns out she had a very old phone number of mine that had been disconnected.I told her I had just bought the glasses and I just needed them fixed. She said okay and scheduled me for an appointment in a half an hour.Why she couldnt do it then was a mystery to me. I am now waiting for my appointment to get in and to fix my brand new glasses again.I will not be coming back to Murray Scholls Vision Center again. I have been very disappointed with their lack of service and expertise.

I ordered a pair of dolce and Gabbana. No only took over 3 weeks but the glasses came defective. I went to the store and they are applying warranty like if it was my fault?? And also they fit me horrible to the point where they put a lot of pressure so I asked for an exchange and they say ALL SALES ARE FINAL. Really save yourself sometime DO NOT SHOP HERE FOR GLASSES. My DOLCE AND GABBANA ARE PEELING EVERYWHERE AND THEY ARE BRAND NEW. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE. I can’t believe how this store operates. I’m very disappointed on the attention I have received .

For my first time getting my eye care taken care of in years. I’m very glad I went to this location.Everything was quick, explanation of exam was thorough and location was clean.The ladies who helped out in the frame selections were also very helpful in explaining my insurance coverage to me and didn’t make the experience feel rushed at all.I can definitely see myself return here for years to come.

My partner and I recently had our first visit. The exam was thorough and I appreciate that I could have pictures of my eyes in lieu of dilating. The Dr also made a diagnosis on my partner that had not been found at any previous office. The office was clean and inviting. We’ll definitely be back.

EDIT TO UPDATE REVIEW:Murray Scholls Vision Center helped fix everything!After my previous frustration (leading to the review below), the next day MSVC reached out and said they were committed to making things right. And they definitely did exactly that. I was invited to come speak with their chief optician, who immediately understood my concern with the frames, pointed out a couple reasons why they might not have worked, and found me a more amenable frame material.She was polite, understanding, and professional: exactly what you hope for in dealing with a customer-facing representative anywhere. And within 15 minutes wed fully resolved my concern and even addressed a couple outstanding items from my previous eye exam.I will leave the original review for reference, but I cannot overstate how seriously they took their commitment to make things right, doing so in a professional and fair manner, without any sort of awkward obsequiousness. As such, my faith is fully restored, and I also have been taught what to ask in the future so my glasses fittings can be more effective.Thank you, Latacia, and thank you Murray Scholls Vision Center!.......Original review, for reference:Do NOT trust their advice on frames, or you could be out a couple hundred $$$ on useless frames that do not fit.I got new glasses, and I immediately noticed that there was an issue with the frames: because one of my eyes is worse than the other, my two lenses are not the same thickness, and that caused the particular frames to bend to one side. Basically, the glasses stick in on one side of my head, and push out away from my eye on the other.No worries, they told me, you have 90 days to exchange -- see if they grow on you. I tried for a month, and they were not working, so I brought them back. They tried to adjust them, but couldnt due to the frame material, so they told me to give it a bit more time -- still had the rest of the 90 days, right?So I gave it another go. Didnt work, decided to take them back. Then covid happened, and the office closed. When I finally took the glasses back in after they re-opened, they basically shrugged and said they couldnt do anything. Never mind that they had promised on the phone at the beginning of the covid closure that they would make a note on the file and extend the 90 days for me.Now, I guess its my fault. I should have known from the beginning that the frames werent good. I should have trusted my gut after the first adjustment that it wasnt going to be enough. But THIS IS LITERALLY THEIR JOB. They work with these frames EVERY DAY, and should be able to immediately recognize what frames and lenses are compatible.So, no, I will not be buying any glasses from there again. Shame, they seem like genuinely nice people, but I wont let someone elses ignorance of their profession cost me a couple hundred dollars.

I came here because I didnt like my last eye doctor and woke up with an eye lid infection that needed some immediate attention. They had an appointment for the day I call, and the staff was very nice. The check up on my eye was quick and efficient and although the pharmacy took for ever to get my antibiotics everything they did was fine.The reason for the 2 star: After my appointment was over they INSISTED I come back for a follow up appointment. After having a hard time finding a date to schedule it we decided on a little over a week later. The follow up appointment took literally 5 minutes, including me waiting in the lobby, and all they did was palpitate my eyelid (push on it) and ask a couple super standard questions. Then when I went to the front desk they said this is what we will be sending to your insurance company. (Mind you I had already seen that they sent a bill for my first appointment which you would think included the follow up like every other doctors office!) It was another bill for over $150 just to see my face for 5 minutes at most, with a different doctor then I saw previously!Either way I wont be returning, as this place is way over priced for the thing they do for you! Beware when going in for follow up appointments and expect to pay through the roof for them to do nothing for you. Sucks because other wise its a great eye doctor with up to date tech.

Recently I went in and was told my visit would be paid in full by my insurance. Front office had verified it. Apparently some error was made and I didnt have the coverage so just received a bill months later. People dont like to be blindsided. We should be able to have trust in the office providing us with the correct information. Unfortunately I wont ever be returning to this facility.

My first experience at Murray Scholls Vision Center was excellent! Dr. Emily was great and answered all my questions and concerns. They have so many frames to choose from. Megan made it super easy and simple to find the right frame for me. I’m super happy with what she recommended!My family and I will be going back!

Myself and our two elementary aged children have been in for annual eye exams with Dr. Hossini. He is the BEST! Would it be weird to say I feel like we could take this guy out to coffee and hang out? Yep, sounds kinda weird. He obviously knows his stuff, but is very relate-able and is absolutely great with the kids. Our kids wanted to take him with us next door to Mango Tango after our eye appointments. The staff have always been professional and courteous.

We switched to Murray Scholls Vision Center after being thoroughly disgusted with a different vision center less then a quarter mile from their location.They have been very accommodating, patient, cheaper in cost, and by far 10 times better overall. I only wish I had found them when we first moved to Oregon five years ago.

Dr. Paymon Hossini is the best! My wife and I had to bring in our two small children (3 & 5) and he was so nice and welcoming to them. He even let them come into the exam room with me to watch what was going on. They have a nice play area for the kids too, with books and toys. Definitely recommend this business if you need an eye exam.
