Both Dr. Desai and his PA have dependability issues. This frustrating trait of theirs will likely result in your having to waste many hours with unnecessary follow up visits. More troubling, I question Desai’s medical ethics. He tried hard to convince me to agree to a stem cell injection in my disc. Two other stem cell facilities, one even in Mexico, said my disc is far too damaged for this and it would be a waste of money and an unnecessary risk. If you choose to go to this doctor, I recommend that at a minimum, you get a second opinion to any of his suggested stem cell treatments.

I had been in enough pain for 5 months that I could not walk with friends, bike, or even swim without pain. After an acute event during an aggressive backpacking trip, I learned through imaging that I have meniscal tear, thin meniscus, and serious bone bruise. I was shocked to learn from surgeons that they thought I was ready for a total knee replacement. Conservative measures (sometimes crutches, little walking, trying a brace, inactivity except for swimming dragging my legs) only succeeded in keeping me from the worst pain. Drs. Manning and Desai offered a PRP injection. I was sure it would not work. Shockingly, after 5 weeks, I was virtually pain free. (But for the first 4 weeks I did not notice any he shift.) I am not yet back to normal activity and my knee still has some swelling, but I can walk a fast clip again with friends and kick during swimming. I am still waiting to see if I will get further relief from that injection. If and when things do not improve, I will consider further injections.Dr. Desai and team are highly professional. I have always been treated with kindness and dignity. They are thorough and gave me their honest appraisal. They did not dissuade me from consulting surgeons and have worked collaboratively with my surgeon. I highly recommend Restore PDX and Team Desai!!!!

The outside meniscus in my right knee is gone, bone on bone. I have scheduled replacement later in 2018. I was in so much pain, I could barely walk. Dr. Desai gave me a series of Hyaluronic Acid (synthetic joint fluid) injections and immediately I received tremendous relief. Even a few months later the pain is greatly decreased and I am able to continue until I have the knee replaced. Dr. Desai and his team are all highly skilled, kind and very gentle. I felt from the beginning, first and foremost, they placed my bodys health above any treatment or financial interests. I highly recommend Dr. Desai and his staff for anyone who is in great pain and needs a place to start their healing.

Im 70 years old. Started see Dr. Rahul Desai M.D. about two years ago.I just had neck surgery. However the right said of my neck started to be very painfull between my shouder blades. I have had injection 7 months ago in my low back. Worked great! On Dec. 1, 2018 I had injections for my low back pain. The low back from 5 down have pancaked with tears.I need the cell steams to repaire the damage. For my 70 Birthday I gave myselfe a 3 month trip to Mexico for the warm h2o. Now I called his office and explained, I need some injection before I am goine for 3 months. His office staff is the best. They are kind and helpful. The staff got in right in. Dr. Desai is a busy man and the reason is he is so good at what he does. So they got me in Friday Dec. 1, 2017. Why I get homeI am having the fun steam cell treatment. Talking to others who have done the steam cell-its amazing. It works. I am mostly blind now. But again the whole staff has one goal in mind and thats too help thier patients. If I could I would give PDX restore a 10 rating. Yes they are that good. If you have any type of negativity experience. As a strength athlete I failed to rehabilitate a back injury several times over the course of a year. Following an intradiscal prp procedure by Dr Desai I can gladly say that I am back to training and nearly pain free.
