My mom has been at Waterhouse Ridge for 2 years, and it’s been a great memory care community. It has excellent food, it’s very clean, and the staff is attentive and caring. Also, it’s a wonderful facility with spacious common living and dining rooms, stylish interior design, and a lovely outdoor patio area.

Long distance moving our 94 yr old was a challenge; but their staff helped us tremendously in coordinating everything. This is a lovely, secure facility with activities available and a cheerful, attentive staff. Our visits since the move in reaffirm we made the right decision.

If I were you I wouldn’t even give this place a first look. Waterhouse used to be a great memory care facility when my grandma lived here. They changed management about a year ago and the new people in charge, Tiffanie and Deanna, are running it downhill. They don’t care about their residents and are only in it for the money. They have a crazy turn around rate for employees because they treat their workers like trash. It’s really disappointing how two people can come in and completely ruin a good place.

What a beautiful and fun community! The residents at Waterhouse Ridge are wonderful, the staff and managers are amazing and the owners TRULY care about the residents and staff. I see some negative reviews from years ago but I must say, this is not the same Waterhouse Ridge they are referring to. Stop by, have lunch and meet our new Amazing chef who’s preparing fresh farm to table meals for the residents or join in on one of the many activities taking place daily.

We toured the faculty with Tara last week and wow, what a beautiful place with nice people. The people that lived there were clean and the lunch they were eating looked great (homemade split pea soup, lamb stew and a blackberry crisp dessert with ice cream). We really enjoyed the tour, Tara seemed to really know the residents and had great positive energy, she’s the director and you could tell the staff really liked her. We did deposit on a nice large room with lots of windows looking out over a courtyard with a water feature, we feel really good about moving my dad in to Waterhouse in a few days even though this wasn’t an easy decision to move him.

A word of warning to those interested in this place (because a tour of the facility will be very attractive). We were duly impressed by everything they showed us (the empty section with model rooms beautifully furnished) and chose a large private room that was in a wing yet unoccupied. We were told it would be another month, maybe two, until that wing opened up, but the room would be reserved for us. In the meantime, our mom was put into a shared room by herself, but rather than being charged the fee for this smaller size room, we are having to pay almost $3000.00 more for the FUTURE large private room we are GOING to be moved into - - - that was the deal we signed on for, thinking it would only be a month of waiting, 2 months at the most, until she could move into the room she selected. So - - we waited one month, then two months, then three months, then four months, and now going on five months, with no end in sight, still paying close to $7000.00 for a room that rents for $4400.00. I think this is their little scam going on - - to promise something and never deliver on it, but still charge the additional 3K to reserve it until that wing is opened - - well guess what? The facility did not pass inspection by the state licensing bureau, so now they have closed off any new move ins until theyve been cleared by the state and passed their licensure inspections... meaning, they are NOWHERE NEAR being able to open the new wing, BUT are still charging us for the big room we may never have. The facility is beautiful, but understaffed, with underpaid, unengaged caregivers and too much turnover. New employees with potential tend to leave for greener pastures, maybe because they see incompetence in management... who knows. We made a mistake moving here and feel we are being ripped off - - hopefully this review will spare you the same grief.

A clean, caring environment for those suffering from Alzheimers. A friend, Denny Shebel, spent 3 years at Waterhouse before passing away. A good place for your relatives afflicted with this terrible disease.

Weve sure had some issues with staff not responding to some critical needs. Feedback is given and things like broken toilets take 4 days to repair after continual hounding. Staff seems to turnover a lot and the skill level of the people in the care areas does not seem to be at the appropriate level. The facility is very nice, but other issues are very concerning. Rethinking placement here. :(

This is a lovely new facility, but poorly managed and NOT someplace I can recommend. It all sounds really great when the tour takes place, and you are led to believe its going to be a wonderful array of stimulating one-on-one activities geared toward demential. Empty promises, agreements made but not kept, negligent maintenance and disrespectful treatment of residents, where convenience of management takes precedence over basic care needs of the people in their charge. I am completely shocked by the lack of consideration shown to residents... there is no excuse for this treatment. Quite a bit of turnover, and no one knows what they are doing - - also some very disturbing interactions with caregivers going into rooms and picking up residents personal items as if to borrow them. They did not pass their state inspection... I only wish I could have had this information before we made the move - - big mistake.

Management is awful, the employees are awful, they dont care about their residents at all. Lock them in their rooms and throw away the key, its a like a jail. When the residents fight with each other the management doesnt know how to handle any situation at all, and dont care.
