Everytime I come to planet fitness, the view I get is even more motivation for me... I enjoy my personal time there and I try to keep it as clean as I can because a lot of people dont clean up after themselves which is truly disrespectful regarding cdc guidelines and others lives. I love the machines and I love going there.

READ: Careful they do a Common thing that some of them do. EXAMPLE; U pay $10 a month, sometimes they want 2 Credit Cards but they only suppose to ask for 1. & sometimes they end up charging BOTH credit cards, at the same time until U see it & notice it. They do this often to many other people, so theyre Aware. Also if U try to cancel or even if your Years up theyll keep charging U even after U cancel all your year is up. The NO COMMITMENT FEE isnt true, there is a COMMITMENT in their rule of business. Its a scam be aware of the PF scam. U BEEN WARNED!!

It’s a really good gym with great employees who are always nice and they have the cleaning stations available every 10 feet.Why do they play Fox News? That’s one channel of news and it’s always Fox. Why play news at the gym anyway? If their intention is for me to look at Tucker Carlson and get my blood pressure high so I can lose more weight, then maybe its a good strategy.Otherwise, don’t really need any news at the gym.

Unfortunately I canceled my membership due medical condition. But I would recommend Planet Fitness to friends n people. The employees are courteous n keep this gym clean n the machines are also kept clean and sanitary. The locker rooms are well cleaned n sanitized. The other customers are courteous also.

The manager is an absolute sweetheart. She is always smiling and greeting everyone. She always looks happy to be there and happy to help with anything.

They are very clean and have a good variety of equipment. Tons of cardio machines. Nice locker rooms. Huge parking lot and 2 minutes from the light rail.

Equipment placed too close together. Members have to be careful not to bump each other, lifting or using machines. Cold and phony front desk staff. As a former club owner and Collegiate power lifter, I was banned after 10+ years for doing super sets, and membership cancelled by an inexperienced trainer!

I don’t usually review but def felt the need to have this location recognized. Deb & the employees are such a refreshing experience with their consistent door greetings and smiles. I don’t think much of the equipment here but I must say that my gym membership here is worth it mainly because the staff here is so professional and enjoyable and make it easy to have a positive work out. They’re always walking around cleaning and checking on the patrons and Deb (who is the bright smiled Trainer) that walks around maintaining everything is the definition of customer service. Thanks guys !

Great Gym. The only gripe is there is no free weight benchpress which limits certain things. They could also easily expand the gym considering there is so much room on the other side where a resturant used to be. I guess it just depends on they do. But a sauna would be nice.

Great staff and you have all the perks of feeling completely comfortable when working out alone or with a partner

Not crowded at all. Clean and quiet.

Overall the gym is clean and well kept. There is ample parking in the lot. The only drawback is that its at the very beginning of Bayonne. If you live in Jersey City you have a good ride to get there.

Doesnt have some of the most essential workout stations ex. BENCH PRESS or SQUAT RACK very disappointing i guess thats how they keep their capacity low i guess.

One floor (ground level), decent sized gym.Not really 24/365, they close close at 7pm on weekends and close for an hr a day to sanitize the gym. I believe the duration of the closure is 2am-3am. This may inconvenience you if you are considering lifting at night. (Which may be subject to change).Pros:The gym is fairly clean. You can tell the employees focus a lot of attention on cleanliness. That’s always a plus being that we’re in a pandemic.Of course upon entry you have to go thru a health screening (temperature taken) and you may see lines build up at the front but I label it as a pros because businesses should be doing there best to prevent the spread of covid-19. So it’s good they focus on that.Cons: I do wish that there were more variations of machines being that planet fitness is mainly machine weights based. I find myself seeing too many duplicates of machines that focus the same area of strength training.Also the parking lot is littered with potholes. Although I don’t think it’s planet fitness’s fault but perhaps liability falls on the landlord of the lot. Nonetheless you’ve been warned, park with caution.Still say it’s a good reliable gym. Cleaning is consistent and staff are friendly.

Great gym, very clean, lately I’ve had to leave earlier than planned because of individuals not wearing their mask on properly. It’s the same individuals every time and staff barely walk around to say something.

This place did not let me work out because I was from ny knowing that I am a black card member. So ridiculous. The guys in the front were total A holes with me.. I dont think I will go back.

Easily the cleanest gym in Bayonne.The employees are also beyond helpful, the machine I was using broke mid set and the manager quickly came over and repaired the machine fast enough for me to finish my workout.

Pretty empty at the time I went I was pleasantly pleased.

The staff is great and very professional. The place is super clean. I felt very safe going there. There is always someone walking around to answer questions and to show you had to use the machines.

I always go to the gym in the evening and every weekday it’s the same group of individuals that are constantly with their masks down. Tonight staff members literally passed them several times and didn’t say anything to them, WHILE THEY HAD THEIR MASKS DOWN. Makes me feel super uncomfortable.

Good gym and massage chairs. But big flaw, the big three lifts arent there and replaced by smith machines. Forces me to do 9 exercises instead of 3 lifts. Unideal.

This planet fitness has done well opening up during the pandemic. You receive a temperature check and they count the amount of clients in the gym capping at around 80. Unfortunately this planet fitness is somewhat smaller than others however the staff are very kind and helpful.

Love it just wish they had a red light therapy booth...which is not a new equipment theyve had it 4 10 yrs you guys just decided to put 3 tanning booths and a tanning bed

As long as youre in and out before 2-3ish pm you can get a good workout with out the downtime in waiting for machines and weights.

This place is a scam. I cancelled my membership years ago and they restarted charging me years later. Now theyre saying i cant prove I cancelled so the money is theres despite me not being in the same state for years.

Awesome place nice and clean

Very clean with no gym or locker room odor. I went as a physical alternative. There were people of all ages there, from the 20s all the way to the 80s. They are accurate when they advertise no judgement zone. The yearly fee is in July. Just watch when you sign up. Especially if youre not sure if a gym is for you.

Clean, ample, and well managed

I love the size of the gym and how spacious it feels. If you want a time of the day thats not too crowded I recommend going in early in the morning or noon. This gym tends to get really crowded after 5:00 p.m.

I liked this gym but was out of the country for a while. I returned to find the arc trainers are gone, and that was the best cardio machine (for me) and what made my membership worth it. Turns out they actually upgraded them for better ones! Couldnt be happier.

Recent renovations were good and needed for this place. Only wish it wasnt as crowded after work. Plenty of machines for different workouts. Some additional squat racks or Smith machines would be helpful however.

Probably one of the worst planet fitness Ive been too due to not being real 24 hour gym , I can understand not opening on Sunday at 7am , but opening at 7am on Saturday is unacceptable. Also there is no diversity on TV stations , they have 3 to 4 screens with FOX news , should have at least more credible news stations available. Too much FOX rots the brain !

Its good. Definitely much better than it was years ago. Id love more free weight options but as it is its a really good value.

This is a really nice gym aside from the drive getting there due to construction and roads hard to navigate in jersey in general.Its very very clean, the staff was pretty friendly and the have the black card spa. Its not a huge gym but first like any other planet fitness.Ill be avoiding rush hour times to go here because come 5pm just machines are taken up especially the ones they dont have a lot of to begin with.Overall a great gym though.

Not particularly fund of the membership. I recommended this gym, because I believed they had No commitment not true. You have to pay an annual fee after 60 days. The person also would have to pay a cancellation fee. They were only going for three months! I attend this gym, However I will look elsewhere. Forgot to mention the staff( one person who tried to help me) during the time that I went, did not explain or seem to understand what he was doing.

Very clean good staff but need little more weights in my opinion overall good tho

Great gym and is perfect for staying in good shape. But this gym isn’t the place if you want muscles like the rock. My only real complaint is that the bench is not free weight. Also it is mostly cardio machines and always has a good number of people. If you can work out around 11pm or later that’s when it seems to die down a bit. Also not open 24 hours on the weekend(open from 7am-7pm) just on weekdays.

Great gym. The staffs are nice. Only thing I dont like is the gym gets too cold they should have a better heater.

Just wash your machine because some people are gross and lazy. Staff tries hard though. Nice gym all around.

Ive been going here off and on for over a year, the place is always clean but depending on the location the staff is usually aloof. If youre going to get a membership get the black card. The card allows you to bring a guest ($10 value by itself) but also allows you limited visits to other locations.

Nicely renovated gym, with plenty of equipment, machines and weights. Great value for what you’re paying monthly.

Cant really complain, they provide all the essentials a gym goer would need. I wouldnt expect them to go above and beyond besides satisfying their clients with desk services.

It’s always very bright, with plenty of space and never overcrowded. It’s an awesome environment to really get you motivated. Staff is A+++ and very inviting.

This gym is always excellent

This year the front desk staff stole my heart! The boys that work during evening-night hours are absolutely charming - Corey & Edinson (hopefully I got it right, because I strained my eyes trying to read those small name tags for the purpose of this review). Every encounter is so pleasant & welcoming that Ive decided to keep my membership for yet another year, solely to be able to admire their professional, polite, & cheerful demeanor, as well as their surprisingly adept (for a male) cleaning skills (good job guys!) They always keep themselves busy, constantly improving the appearance & atmosphere of the place, putting in more effort into their job duties than what half the clients put into their workouts (no joke). Employees of the year, please!

Alot of equipments have their seats losen. TV channels are very limited.

Well they denied my 14 year old brother entrance with me (I got a black membership) for the reason that I’m not his “parent” even though he got in with me multiple times at different PFs annnnd I’m his legal guardian in the US.. he lives with me. Stupid reasoning and stupid employee, who couldn’t understand my situation.

Its a good starter gym. If you are going to the gym for strength, eventually u will grow out it. Theyre gym isnt designed for muscle heads. Overall nice gym

First gym Ive ever joined that I actually wanted to go to. $20 is about my max for any membership since Im not really a fitness freak (though Im trying to become one). Usually for this price range, you get mediocre places that arent too clean, so Im happy to have this place in my backyard. Ive been to one other PF, and found the Bayonne had machines the other didnt have which was a big plus. Unlimited guests is amazing cause I can bring my own trainer for free. Staff is always polite and helpful, and the clientele are chill and mind their business (I dont feel like Im being watched by creeps). Place gets crowded sometimes after work, but Ive never had too long of a wait for any machine I wanted. One thing that would be nice would be a studio room with mirrors for shy gals like me, but overall I cant complain. Wish I had joined sooner, to be honest.

For the price the gym is ok, the night time staff is very polite and friendly, they make sure you are always greeted with a smile. I do how ever feel like the gym needs some attention, the womans locker room is always dirty and out dated compared to other Planet Fitnesses in the area this place could use a face lift such as the showers and the lockers which are in need of repair, also weight machines in the 30 min work out section need repair, I have reported the issues but have yet to see anyone service the machines.

They renovated recently and the place is spectacular! Very clean and stag is friendly! Variety of excerise machines and they have at 2 of each!! Loads of cardio machines!!!👍💪👍💪

I signed up and suddenly next month they start having a construction. It would have been nice if they told the costumers in advance so we could make more informed decisions. When asked about this the guy in the from desk told me to wait a couple of more weeks to have the bathroom fixed. After two weeks he told me the same thing. I want there cuz I live close. I stopped going cuz I got sick since the truck they have as a bathroom/changing room stinks. Horrible costumer service Ill give them one start because I cant give them less than that
