I tried other aesthetician but Mary is the best! She would assess your skin and treat whatever your skin problem is. I have a really dry and pigmented skin. But after my first facial with her, I could see the difference already. Since then, I would always book her as my aesthetician. Really love her!

I absolutely love Hand and Stone! I am an member and within this membership it offers great deals and packages! I get at least 3 packages monthly. Mary is my absolute favorite! She always knows the right products to use on my face and every time I have a session with her I leave stress free and relaxed! It’s been difficult to book an appt with hand and stone in my area in PA. I traveled out to this one in Bayonne, NJ and took an Uber to only be canceled last minute. Me and my sister were so disappointed. It just looks very unprofessional to cancel last minute. That part is what got me more upset then anything. If it was an hour or two before hand, I would’ve been disappointed but not upset.

I tried to go to the Bayonne location however it was very difficult to get an appointment and when I finally did they canceled my appointment last minute which was very disappointing. I will continue to go to the Hoboken location I had a wonderful experience there

ZERO. They are thieves. They have charged me for the subscription and every time I book, like three weeks in advance, they take it upon themselves to cancel the appointments. Three times in a row, and I’m still being charged. The manager is never available and has never called me back.

I am a member and the only reason I will be keeping my membership is because of Oliver! He was extremely knowledgeable and professional during my massage. I told him what my troubles were and he recommended that we add CBD to the session. After the massage I was so relaxed and relieved. I came in because I was stressed and walked out feeling stress free!

I got an email firm this location with say I can get a member price massage for the month of March this is what the email say “Hand & Stone Bayonne s March Madness Sale!”so I booked my appointment because I felt like it was a really good BUT when I went to the spa and got the massage the front desk lady told me that for me to get that price I have to be a member the email they sent doesn’t say that I have to become a member I felt like I been robbed honestly won’t be going back to that location they lost a good client I don’t recommend getting the fake “offer”. So I was not going to leave a bad review because I simply do not like doing it, but after I left last night and spoke to someone who runs 3 Hand and Stone Massages about how absolutely upset, disgusted and quite frankly shocked I was after my Facial(which I told Ashley the Sales Manager immediately could not even have passed as a mini teen facial) I attempted to contact the spa to discuss the other things that I experienced after I had confirmed what I already suspected was not the truth when I asked my facialist, but I have not been able to get someone to answer the phone at this spa. I have called several times last night and then several times this morning, we’ll within the time this salon is open and doing business. Now I am even more frustrated and this is why I am writing this review. I went into my room, I was not provided a robe, a wrap a towel.. nothing, I laid down on a table with absolutely no covering over me. Not a blanket, a sheet or a large towel. When asked I was told they were not allowed to have blankets because of COVid… I was freezing..if this is the case they absolutely need to tell clients to bring something so they are comfortable. I have never in all my over 200 plus facials I have received in my life ever laid on a table uncovered. The girl literally talked to me not once about product, what she was using .. doing.. nothing .. she spent 5 minutes extracting ONLY on my forehead .. lol.. nose.. chin.. let me make this clear… 5 minutes TOTAL!!!! not once did she touch my cheeks, side of my jaw line… side of face, nothing!!! she did not extract not even ONE blackhead… I have never in my life… every time she cleaned her tool she would wipe it on the sheet near my ear banging on the table…. Pretty much all I heard were a lot of bottle opening and closing, slamming and very little work on me… she did not offer not a single ounce of product knowledge, choice and why, OR upgrades that would benefit me and my SKIN goals… she layered about 5 lotions on my face, said we are done… honestly I can say without any hesitation that was the single worst spa/salon experience I have had in a lengthy list of experiences.. I was so upset and shocked… I still am not sure what I experienced but that person should be removed immediately, no customer-client should EVER experience something like that … especially people who have never had facials to think this is what they are walking away believing is what you get would be a tragedy to the industry and the professionals who work extremely hard in this line of cosmetology. I am embarrassed for the salon, for the school who gave this a license and for anyone in that salon who went through her facial allowing her to move forward.. I am not being mean, if I was I would use her name, the manager knows exactly who it is, I was a business owner, my daughter worked as a manager at several Hand and Stone in another state and this would NEVER EVER BE ACCEPTABLE… Ashley absolutely handled it amazing, she did not charge me, visually being able to see my skin did not look touched!! But now that have confirmed the other issues, and tried to contact someone … the fact that no one is answering a phone to take calls of any kind during height business hours last night and now today is simply unacceptable in my world of service excellence.

I just called to get some information about their spa services and facial services. I spoke to a young lady by the name of Jacquelyn, let me just say after speaking to her I am so excited to book and have my treatments. She was so patient and answered all of my questions and was super informative. If the other staff members are anything like her I assume I will have a wonderful experience at Hand & Stone.

I went for my 1st facial and deep tissue massage ever, and it was so relaxing. Jasmine did a great job with my facial, tackling my problem areas, and providing recommendations/products. And Sami was also amazing trying to release extra tense areas during the massage. I walked out a happy gal.

I enjoyed my facial with Alyssa. She was nice and explained to me the treatment she would be applying and why. My face felt great afterwards and I was glowing.

This place is terrible. Do not waste your money. I went in for my massage and was told that I could lay face down without a mask only to be told that the masseuse prefers I keep it on. A massage and a Spa is supposed to be relaxing. How are you supposed to relax by suffocating in a mask. That person shouldn’t be working in a massage place touching people if she’s concerned about COVID. If you read this, find a new job! Thanks for wasting my time and money Hand & Stone. I will never return.The manager called me the following day to tell me their policy which I had heard the other day. No apology, just to say that they had a right to deny me service. They’ve also banned me from all NJ locations for being frustrated with their terrible service and policies. The people working there are inconsiderate and a bunch of scammers. For Christmas, I got the serenity package for my mom which included BOTH a facial and a massage, and as a gift they gave me a buy one get one. I asked the Rep specifically if it was the same kind of gift card that I bought my mom and she reassured me it was.I scheduled the facials and massages for both my mom and I, both were incredible. I was in bliss until I was shocked by a rude awakening when I was told I owed $125 FOR THE FACIAL !!! I explained to them they must be mistaken Bc my gift card was for BOTH services, they told me I had to choose either one... not both. I was livid in disgust Bc I feel completely scammed, I even reconfirmed when I made the appointment and they said my card was good for both services. I left in tears and it completely ruined the entire experience for me.They even added $5 extra to the add ons, when we were told it was $10.This place is a scam, please do not do what I fix and take them at their word. I was even going to sign up for a membership for my mom.... we will never step foot in there again.

I got a Swedish massage by Natasha. Being a physical therapist myself, I can assure you Natasha knows what she is doing ! Five stars for Natasha !The website mentions 1 hour massage and facial but once you click to book it, the options are for 50 or 80 minutes introductory massage. Its misleading.

This was my first time getting a massage. I was nervous, had several tight areas, and was worried about experiencing pain afterwards. Jose was very patient and calm. I felt comfortable and relaxed during the session and left feeling as if I could walk on clouds. I exercise a lot and Jose provided an anatomy background on how my muscles contract and are connected to larger muscle groups. The office is very clean and professional. It is also easily accessible off of Rte 440. You will be seeing me soon.😊

Great facial and the girl who did it was great just wished I knew I was paying an additional $60 when I went in for the introductory of $70 during my facial. So not exactly sure what was introductory when I was charged $130. But was a good facial and jasmine I believe was her name was good

I went back to Hand & Stone since they reopened after the pandemic as I was in need of a much needed massage to relieve the stress of everything thats been going on the last few months. Jose provided me an amazing full body massage as I felt 100% better leaving then when I arrived. I highly recommend and will certainly be going back.

Because when you are going to cancel a membership they tell you that you have to pay the next month that would be the last one they would charge you ok thats fine, but if you have a card that you still dont use you can go when you can, make the appointment and due to personal problems They cant go and you call them and tell them that you cant go they tell you that if you dont go they will charge you even though you called to cancel the appointment and they dont charge you $ 10 or $ 20 they charge you $ 40 even when they told you not to We will always charge you, that is not good,they are liars

I had THE BEST massage today by a Woman named Alex (Alexandra).My experience from start to finish was excellent. I was first greeted by the receptionist whose name regrettably escapes me at the moment. She was very knowledgeable of all the services and very professional. Went to this location on February 14th and was the first customer of the day arriving at 8.45am. I came in for a full leg wax and a facial. Because I was the first one there the wax machine was not hot enough so I decided to add on the facial so I was not just sitting around waiting. The facial was absolutely amazing and I would totally come back for another one. I got a detox facial that really cleared out my pores giving me beautiful skin.The wax was the reason I made my appointment and for that service I have to remove two stars. The wax is a strip system that does not work at all. I left the establishment completely sticky and with a ton of hair still left on my legs. Thankfully I have a wax machine of my own so I was able to fix the situation but for the price tag this is not something I should have to do. Very disappointed in the wax services.

I had a facial that was very good however there was many other services that were trying to be sold to me. My one hour facial was actually 45 minutes because I filled outpaperwork out in the lobby for the 1st 15 minutes. I dont think people should be penalized and charged more because they are not members . I was charged to $110 for a facial, Where if I was a member I would have only paid 69. The people that were leaving were complaining about being pressured and asked repeatedly for additional services.

Horrible.I booked a massage for my hubby and I in separate rooms as a Valentine’s Day gift. Appt was set for 2:00 pm. We walk in at 2:01. Front desk girls greeted us immediately and hand us paperwork. We fill out paperwork while looking at a flyer of add ons they gave us. I saw facial add on for $20 so I quickly asked the girls about it wondering if it removes blackheads bc my hubby has a lot! They told me yeah we can add him for one right after. So in my head, I’m like ok 20$ facial awesome. (Keep in mind- me/nor my hubby have never had a facial before) So I went to the bathroom and after I come out one girl calls me into a room and asked me my name and started telling me with an attitude that since I was late my appt time is now being cut so I cannot get a full body massage, etc etc. I was like wow, why didn’t they give me a heads up in the front I would have rushed with the paperwork and not spend so much time looking at the add ons... anyway I was like okkk so let me not let that ruin my experience and said it’s fine. I asked the therapist a few questions and still felt such a bad vibe so I just shut my mouth and tried to relax. But of course I couldn’t!!! That was that! Moving forward, so since this was a gift from me and my hubby knows nothing about facials more than me... after his massage was done a woman came to speak to him About a facial and he advised her to come talk money with me bc it’s my gift. So she comes out and tells me the facial is $20and it’s an extra $40 for her to be able to remove the blackheads. I asked would it remove all and she said he would probably need a few treatments. So I repeated back to her ok so 60$? She said yes and told me he would be done in one hour. Long story short I came back to pick up my hubby and asked him if i needed to come in to sign a receipt and they said no. I get home to look at the receipt and I was like whoa $300! Yikes, as I’m looking on the receipt I see 69.95 massage, 89.95 ( massage with stone that I also added for him) 69.95 facial, plus 20$ something facial and $40 something else facial and I ask my hubby did they tell you that facial was an additional 70$? He says no I told her to discuss the charge with you. So I was like this must be a mistake I’ll call tomorrow. First they tell me no manager was there to handle refunds on Sunday. (Crazy that not a manager on site!) I call back again today spoke with the manager who basicallySaid she couldn’t refund me and would call me back by 5. I come out of work and it’s now 5:30 and no phone call back so I call back again while I’m driving there and spoke with a higher manager who also stated the same that she couldn’t not refund me. I told her listen I’m sure you have video with audio because most places can afford that now, I asked her to review the recording and she said she did and told me that I am correct that no one told me it was an extra 70$!! So I’m like ok can I get my money back? And they refused. All she could do was offer a complimentary for one. Hell no! I wouldn’t go back if you paid me to! Even my hubby said that his masseuse was too tough after he repeatedly told him to go a little softer. The only good thing was the facial but not worth 130$!!! They were very unprofessional and should have been clear about the price! Definitely not good service over all! Massage envy is so much better. I only booked here because they had available sooner than massage envy but definitely not worth all this headaches! Advice to H&S train your employees better on how to treat customers, especially bc they are coming to relax and be specific and say with a nice big smile “by the way the original price for a facial is 69.95 plus .......etc etc” tp avoid any issues like this ever again. I gave up in fighting bc the manager was pregnant and to be honest it wasn’t worth the fight to get her all worked up! Good luck toThem. I went to the Bayonne location this past Friday, the 28th, wanting just a massage before going on vacation. I was told by the masseuse Candice, that she will give me a “relaxing” massage. Well I left with lower back pain! And still to this day, 4 days later, my back is still bothering me!! I called them twice..first Friday evening and then Sunday. Letting them know I have been using a heating pad n have been taking Ibuprofen. Yet still I am unable to move around or able to walk/stand straight. Mind u I’m on vacation with my 2 kids...a 5 year old n a 5 month old. Not an ideal way to spend my vacation. Had I known this I would have never gone to them!! Also I was told the owner would contact me....well at no surprise she hasn’t. That’s why I’m writing this review.....maybe she will have the decency to call now!! I still have one more session I will not be using...hopefully they will refund me! I will keep u posted on that issue as well!!

Im not sure how to explain my experience. I can only compare it to other spas Ive been to. 1. The massage was ok. There was no oil just a lotion that gave me a bad rash later that evening. The lotion and the rubbing created a heated friction that was uncomfortable. Almost like a burning sensation. Ive had way better experiences in other places. I cant say that Ill be back or would even refer anyone here. Im not sure if everyones experience was like this but I know can understand some of the reviews. I only went because someone else purchased the massage for me as a gift. Maybe its just the new comers special thats like this but if so they wont get people to come again.

Horrible facial experience, broke out even more. Bed sheets smelt like onions, felt dirty. Charged a different price then what i was originally told!

My wife did a facial and she complain that her face hurts and the lady said its probably the cream that you might be allergic but my wife said its the face towel was too hot and burned her face..and there was no comment. This is not right and youd better do something not to let this happen again otherwise youll loss your customer

Dont go to this Hand & Stone location! They will put you with which ever therapist is convenient for them rather than a therapist who specializes in the type of massage you request.I went for a deep tissue massage and when I booked it I was very specific about only wanting a therapist who could truly provide deep tissue. They told me she was their deep tissue specialist. Within minutes of the massage starting it was obvious the therapist couldnt even provide a medium pressure massage. I asked her repeatedly to go deeper and she was unable to. When I came out I expressed my frustration and the manager appeared apathetic and uninterested in addressing it. I asked for a call from the owner and I never received one.I then disputed the charge with Amex and the owner wrote back to Amex making up a total lie that I could not handle deep pressure and the therapist didnt want to hurt me. Nothing could be further from the truth. I go for six massages a month at Massage Envy and Body Balance in Hoboken and always book with deep tissue specialists.Hand & Stone in Bayonne is shady, not customer focused and the women who answer the phone are trained to book your massage with whoever they have available even if they know the therapist cannot meet your requested needs. Go to Massage Envy or Body Balance in Hoboken and have a far superior and honest experience.

The worst place you could go on the entire planet, I can simply say THIEVES, apart from wasting my time when I make the decision to go where they are, now they are stealing my money!The only time I went I did a facial, I was happy because I felt relaxed, when I go out to pay the reception guy insists on making a subscription, I say no and he insists, then I tell him that if vaguely, he tells me that at Arriving at my house I would receive an Email with the contract for me to sign. I NEVER DID IT BECAUSE I DIDNT LIKE HIS WORK when I looked in the mirror at home thats when I noticed it. The second time they charge me an amount of $ 75 I called saying that I dont have a signed contract and that you shouldnt take my money, then they send me an Email to sign the cancellation of a contract that I never did! And after a month of signing the cancellation they are still stealing my money !!!!! If you dont want to be constantly robbed, dont go to this place!
