DO NOT use this Dentist office !!!!!!I received a bill at the end of the year for$500 plus that I tried to resolve with their billingoffice. Maggie was no help at all as I tried to plead my case I had a copy of my Patient account andthey billed me $1040 for a procedure in JulyMy insurance paid their part and I paid the balancein July. In December I got a bill and they adjusted that bill stating they billed the improper amount for my visit in July and that the balance is my responsibility . Horrible customer serviceDO NOT USE PRO HEALTH DENTALFIND ANOTHER DENTIST THAT IS UP FORWARDWITH THEIR CHARGES.

I visited this office to obtain information on insurance plans. The office personnel steered me to their in house plan which is $125 for X-rays and 2 cleanings over the period of 1 year.Their website states most insurance plans accepted but when I asked aboutThe Cigna discount plan, I was told they would accept it only until my current contract expired and that they were steering people to their in house plan.I was told the $125 fee for their in house plan also includes a 25% discount for any dental services needed beyond cleaning, X-rays.. But when I asked what their prices actually were, they said they would give me that information at the point in time when I needed a particulate service such as a filling, crown, etc. But they would not provide their pricing schedule in advance.Since they would not give me their pricing schedule, I couldn’t confirm that their 25% discount was a real discount.Other dental offices will give you pricing information before you come in for a visit.Needless to say, I would stay clear of a dental service who claims to provide 25% discount pricing with their in house plan, but refuses to give you pricing data up front for their services.II read Prohealth’s reply. I did call them and spoke wit;h Jennifer. In their reply Prohealth stated that they “would like to make this right” Beyond saying that she would speak to the office personnel about the incident, Stephanie did not offer anything to “ make it right” Further Stephanie told me that the staff deals with a lot of difficult customers and it’s challenging .Well dealing with customers is the business that they are in. I would suggestProfessional training for both the office personnel and Stephanie.Medical / dental personnel at other companies do a much better job at customer communications. In particular I would like to point out that Prohealth Bay Shore would greatly benefit from focusing on FULLY listening to and understanding customer concerns, instead of talking over the customer while the customer is speaking, in an attempt to quickly end the communication.
