My kids pediatrician Dr. Dehnam is awesome. She has been all 3 of my daughters doctor since birth. My oldest 19 years old. Mrs. Kimberly Hampton thank you for helping me. On Thursday, my daughter had a virtual video visit. I am a working mom and needed a doctors excuse to go back to work after visit. I called several times in reference to a doctors excuse. I was told the nurse was busy. If I would have known I couldnt get a doctors excuse in a timely manner I would have scheduled differently. I dont think Ill choose to do a video visit. Ill rather come in person to assure that all proper paperwork is taking care of.

I absolutely love Dr. Giorlando and would wait as long as I needed just to see him. I do wish he was at a different facility because unfortunately everything everyone else has said about the front desk is completely true. they are very sweet , but do have spend a lot of time talking and laughing instead of helping patients. I also love the Therapy Staff upstairs they are ALL amazing and hate that our PT moved and we had to find another place for therapy. It is definitely an all day thing to go to see the doctors at this clinic and I do wish that wasnt the case, maybe add more PA or NP to the clinic and expand the office would help with the overflow of patients.

Of course everyones experience is different, but I have found the therapists at this clinic to be excellent. They are experienced, knowledgeable, and most importantly, genuinely care about the kids they are treating. An excellent resource in Baton Rouge for children who need personalized therapy!

The most unprofessional place of business EVER. Cancel all your plans for the day because you WILL NOT be in and out, nor will you be called at your appointment time. There was a line out the door for people to check in, four people behind the desk, a SIGN stating that you can check in or out at ANY desk yet only ONE girl was checking people in while the rest of the workers were talking and laughing. There is a well area and sick area but yet EVERYONE sits in the well area. For all the people that works behind the desk they should know why everyone is there and direct them to the proper seated area. The only reason it got one star is because I cant put no stars. What a waste of employment!

Awful. First of all, I agree with the other reviews here about not feeling at all welcome. The front desk staff are pretty rude. Second, the facilities are disgusting. I dont feel comfortable letting my son touch anything, including the walls by the bed that look like they have had poop smeared on them. One time I was in the room and the trash was overflowing and the floor looked like it had been mopped with mud...I felt like I needed to come home and take a shower and I certainly didnt feel like it was a place I wanted my son to be. This is a doctors office...it should be sanitary. Third, I took my son in to get a set of shots. He wasnt feeling well and I pointed this out to the Dr. who gave him shots anyways. My son was miserable and had to end up going to urgent care two days later with a fever of 105. I will most def. be finding a new pediatrician for my son.

Dr. Giorlando is absolutely awesome! I have four children and I switched to Dr. G from Dr. Helen Hedgeman in 2008 due to a difference of opinion on her lack of treatment for a nasal issue my youngest daughter was having. Ten years later and were still seeing Dr. G. The man is a saint when it comes to his patients and his concern for his patients and thier well being. Thanks, Dr. G.

Ive been coming here since 2002 and weve seen several doctors and I prefer Amanda Crawford NP she is the best! She sits and really listens and gets to know the child and puts them at ease when they are afraid however if she is booked up my next choice is Michelle Breaux who is really good with kiddos as well.

First they dont even deserve one star! After what they let happen to my little girl this week. Parents please be more careful when bringing your children here especially if youre taking your babys for shots. They gave my sixteen-month-old little girl a shot that she was NOT supposed to have receive until she was 11 or 12 years old!! Like what the f*** were yall doing, how did this happen &, why was it not double-checked .Then they dont let me know this untill the next day in the afternoon. Its heartbreaking for this to have happened to My little girl and I wouldnt want this happening to anyone elses baby.. its not right! It hurts me more just knowing that she got that extra shot. Its bad enough that she has to get the right ones and that Im okay with But when they told me this had happend ...We will NOT be going to this pediatrician .! and we are supposed to trust you with our babys lives . Please dont let this happen to your child. This happend at the pediatric academic clinic upstairs suite 202!

This was our first visit back to this practice since we left over 10 years ago. I left then because the place was gross, the people were incompetent, and it took FOREVER to be seen. But in weighing options for a new pediatrician, I heard good things about this location now (come to find out, the good things were about the other OLOL Peds office in the same building, not this practice). So I made appts for 3 of my kids with Dr. Lemelle. Rep. made 2 appts for 2:00. I tried to get another appt immediately following for a 3rd child, and the nurse kept arguing w me that the dr.s dont see 3 siblings AT THE SAME TIME. I went around & around w her that 2:00 & 2:30 are not AT THE SAME TIME. Its no different than a whole new patient reserving an appointment. Eventually I called back & spoke w someone else & was able to get the 2:30 slot for my 3rd child. I made this appointment about 2 months in advance. About a month ago, I get a call that Dr. Lemelle is not going to be there and I need to reschedule. So I chose a diff dr. We ended up w Dr. Karan. At no point did the office offer the ability to log into mychart to fill out paperwork. So when we got to the appointment 15 min early, I was greeted with 45 pages to fill out (not kidding). Monique called me aside and said he wont see 3 siblings at the same time. So we had the same conversation as before. She said my oldest could sit in waiting room while he saw the younger 2. But that would leave the younger 2 alone when the oldest was being seen?? When I saw another mom go back with 4 KIDS, I spoke up. Why is she allowed to bring her kids with her and Im not? Then all of a sudden it was ok. ALSO while waiting, I heard patients getting called back to see Dr. Lemelle! Why were we canceled and lied to that she wasnt going to be there??? We finally got brought into a room at 3:15 (2pm appt). He took FOREVER to complete the exams and had to keep asking the same questions we had already answered several times. When he finally finished the 1st 2, they sent us back out to the waiting room! After seeing several families go back and the waiting room empty, I asked why we were kept waiting for the 230 appointment (by this time it was 415). Monique said Dr. told her he was going to see everyone else before us!! Why?? My daughter rightfully reserved a scheduled visit at 230! I could only be left with the thought that we are the wrong color for this office. I ended up speaking with the office manager and she seemed concerned and helpful, but even with her help, we still sat in the exam room until nearly 6:00. It was almost 6pm when we left there from our 2pm appointment. To make it worse, the Dr. kept forgetting what labs he said he was going to order for my kids. I am SO disgusted with my experience there.

My doctor Paul GiOrlando is excellent, and the nurse pediatricians are 5 star as well, but the wait times are horrible and staff overwhelmed. wait times are frequently an hour or more if you are not early and usually just under an hour if you are early. The center is often crowded and i would probably find a different clinic if i could but my children are on medicaid and the doctor selection is very slim. but they always work with me, if medicaid refuses to pay for something they will do everything in their power to still find a way to get my children the care they need.

I HATE this place! Its always something new with them. I requested shot records on 04/07/16, was TOLD I had to wait 72 hours to pick it up which was 04/11/16 because of the weekend. Went to get it and then was told that since their Dr appointment was the next day, I couldnt get it until then. I needed them on 04/08/16. Why do you have to wait for a piece of paper to be printed in the first place?! First it was 24hrs, then 48, now 72?!?! Changing doctors immediately! They are ghetto and very inappropriate while parents and children are present! I already changed drs for my oldest, guess I shouldve followed suit with my other two.😠😠😠😠😠

First I would say that the only reason I visited this location is simply because my sons doctor was relocated here. Dr. J.T has been my sons pediatrician since he was two years old, he is now 12, so when he got sick I felt comfortable taking him there. Can I say the worst experience ever!!! The place is absolutely dirty, and there was tissue all over the floor in the waiting area. I agree with some of the previous comments the staff was absolutely RUDE!!!! They were sitting behind the desk in their own world. The medical assistant, Davalyn call us to the back she was the worst ever her attitude STINKS!!! Just Nasty!! The dr. ordered her to perform a strep screen on my son she came in the room and just stood there in front of him and said OPEN your mouth!! I got up to coach my son because I didnt like the way she was talking to him and so she could get the culture needed for the test. She then proceeded to shove the tongue depressor and two cotton tip applicators down his throat then left the room. My son began to cry it angered me even more. (Some people are in the medical field simply for the money and not for the people.) I told the doctor that I understand that sometimes getting what they need may be uncomfortable but the person that is challenged with the job should not be rude while doing it. The Dr. apologized for her actions and stated she would talk to her but looking at the reviews this is a norm for the clinic. I would never expose my child to this facility again!!!

Just throw the whole building away, why does it take you guys so long to answer the phone, but you have PLENTY of time to talk behind the desk? If theres too many patients then why dont you hire more professional nurses in the place. Yall just lost another patient smh.

I love his doctor (Dr G), but the staff/front desk are rude, incompetent, and unintelligent. If i tell you i need a prescription called in for his allergies and asthma medications (he only has one on file for each) why would you call back telling me there is only one medicine on file for asthma and none for a cold? Wouldnt it be common sense to refill the asthma medicine since that is what i called in to request? & since when did saying I also need his nasal spray for his allergies refilled translate to I need cold medicine??? However, I received a vm saying that I would need to call back to clarify, which I did, and was hung up on as soon as I requested the nurse, because she (front desk staff) couldnt differentiate between cold medicine & allergy medicine, telling me its basically the same thing.. no dumbass its NOT! Ugh!! I wish Dr G would leave, but I will be looking for a new doctor for my son. I cannot take the level of stupidity that works in this office....
