Nick is an outstanding professional and personal trainer. I had no experience working out and no idea where to start. I tried to work out on my own before but was doing exercises that were too difficult for my physical condition and I didn’t have confidence that I was doing it correctly so I always gave up. He did an assessment to know exactly what condition my body was in and developed a custom fitness plan to help me get going. His understanding of biology and movement is evident. He was great about instructing and motivating me, but also educating me along the way. I worked with him for 3 months and learned how to keep evolving my routine to continually, but gradually, challenge myself. With Nick’s help I have become one of those annoying people that love morning workouts to kick start my day. At 50 years old I feel healthier and stronger than I have in 25 years. I highly recommend working with him no matter what your current physical condition is. He has the genuine interest and knowledge to help you develop healthy habits and achieve your goals. I discovered Nick through a friend who had been working with him for a while, and I could see the positive results, so it inspired me to give him a call. Nick is not a one-size-fits-all trainer. What I really like is that he took the time to learn what my fitness goals were before we ever started the first exercise. His diagnostic and prescriptive approach identified the muscle groups in my body that needed strengthening. The result is that my running form has improved significantly, which was one of my goals. Nick is extremely well-educated as to the body and spirit, and understands that living well involves more than just a few exercises, it involves a broad perspective.

Nick Ortego is a great trainer and I particularly love his FST program. He approaches fitness in a holistic way -- recognizing that you must address the body as a whole, not just part by part. His approach is to keep the body well physically, mentally and spiritually. Hes a no nonsense guy with a lot of common sense. I really have enjoyed working with him for over five years!
