I love working out here, but having the speakers blare messages about wearing masks every 30 minutes really takes away from the experience. I understand youre trying to get the students attention, but the excessive volume is completely unnecessary and hurts my ears every time it plays. A simple sign outside the UREC, which is already there, will do or turning down the speaker volume a couple dozen decibals. Then if students dont take a moment to read the sign or listen to the message at a more reasonable volume then its on them if they get removed from the facility.

Used to love coming here until they decide to favor the residence, so now you cannot find parking without taking a hike. When you can find parking, its unbelievably packed and yelling at you to wear a mask every 10 minutes and it feels like they target you.

Love this facility except for parking, which i pay for. Paying only gets you X lot status which is open to anybody with a parking pass. Circling for 20 minutes has gotten me a spot so far.

This is the LSU gym. It has a lot of equipment. There are two swimming pools inside pool and outside pool. There is a lot of equipment for exercising.

Parking at the urec is a disaster for the amount of students who go there. Even though LSU is back on campus we could not get a guest with us into the urec but we can be jam packed in a classroom with 30 students.

The REC center and swimmimg pool are not open to the public even if people in the community would like to pay to access the facilities. What kind of University is this? Universities are supposed to improve the local community. Many universities (e.g., U of A in Tucson) membership (day passes, weekly passes, monthly passes, etc) to anyone who pays and wants to use the facilities.

This is one of the best gyms in the state. It has 3 floors of weight rooms, 6 full length basketball courts, boxing room, dance room, swimming pools, E-Sports game rooms and much more.

One of the best places on campus. And the location is in great place. Just go for running around the University Lakes then come here and do some indoor workouts along with indoor and outdoor sports facilities. It has enough services to provide all students.

It is my second home. I absolutely enjoy this place being an avid fitness enthusiast. I think I have nearly spent one-third of my time at LSU at this world-class University Recreation. Would highly recommend everyone to visit it atleast once.

I really like working out at UREC. Its clean and the staff are constantly disinfecting the equipment and the facility! Now, if only some of the students would learn to wipe down the machine after they use it! I recommend going there earlier in the day if you can because after 3 pm its busy!

Nice to go on the weekends, but it is usually crowded on the weekdays. It has a variety of machines available, so there is a high chance you will find the machine you desire.

Can get busy in the afternoons with intramural games and it being prime time. But theres everything from weights to ping pong. I enjoy coming here all the time. State of the art facilities all around.

Most of the student staff go above and beyond, there will always be some that just see this as a quick job through college, but I try to not let that deter me from using the facility. The facility is now incredibly spacious, and almost overwhelming. There are three floors for fitness equipment, a 1/3 of a mile track that has a mild incline and runs through two of the floors at the facility, and a remarkable locker room (with a sauna) that is connected to a just as wonderful indoor lap pool. The only fault I could see internally is that they do not provide towels, and that, externally, parking is often limited during high traffic times. The facility hours are made for just about anyone (the early bird, the night crawler, etc.). I really enjoy this facility and the staff!

The facilities are now unbelievable! However, UREC employees/staff/administrators/etc. still maintain the same undeserved attitude of entitlement, exasperation, inconvenience, as well as lack of proper experience and training theyve always had.
