Took extra 2 days to finish the work. Almost a full three days to install 4 simple light fixtures. And when the electrical box was replaced , nothing was labeled and now have to flip the power throughout the whole house to figure out what is what.

This company apparently doesnt want to make money, or care about diligence or customer satisfaction. I had a sewage backup 6 months ago and wanted to use them. However, after leaving multiple messages over a 12+ hour period, finally called during their business hours and they were not aware of my messages from the prior evening. I even joked apparently the person on call cant hear the phone. I was not able to get anything sooner, so I had them come and take care of it. Paid $ for an emergency service visit to get them there same day, and they showed up and actually did great work. However, 6 months later, the problem has returned. Heres the sequence of recent events: voicemail left @2:50pm on Wednesday, voicemail left @6:15pm on Wednesday, voicemail left @7:20am on THURSDAY morning, and I FINALLY receive a TEXT MESSAGE @ 8:16am stating: Henry H Cook Inc is closed until Monday Dec 28. Have a safe and Merry Christmas!. The funny part is, they advertise 24/7 emergency service on their website, but when I checked it after the text message I received this morning, found there is NO MENTION of closing due the the holiday. You would think a business would want to make that conspicuous. What you DO see is in the photo Im attaching. Thats their website on Christmas Eve, over an hour after I received their text message. See the big letters advertising 24/7 emergency service? But no mention of special holiday hours/closure. Long story short, these folks either have a CLEAR staffing issue, or need a lesson in how to operate a business. I mean, an on-call phone that doesnt get answered and has voicemails left that dont get replied to? Dont waste your time, go somewhere else.

I work with AGL Homes and a resident had an issue with her furnace after a power surge due to an electrical issue. I asked the resident to get a quote to repair the furnace and that we would reimburse the bill. This company gave us a quote to replace the entire unit because it would be more to repair than to just replace and submit a quote of $2900.00 to AGL. I then called an HVAC contractor that we typically use, The Furnace Doctor, to get a second opinion. The result? A $40.00 transformer needed to be replaced and the contractor was there for a total of 10 minutes. Please be careful - sounds like they wanted to take advantage of the situation. Or... they need help in the diagnostics department.

Chris and company are great! They do excellent work, are courteous, timely and professional. We have dealt with them several times in the past few years, and have always been highly satisfied.

Lost a well fitting on Memorial Day weekend, came and looked at it on a Tuesday, we had water back on before noon Thursday. Graded lawn off nice, l dont need to even rake it

Very professional and courteous Cody and Michael were the best. They explained every step they were taking in my sewer line clog and tested it before leaving. Cant say enough about them or the company. My plumbers for life.

Cancelled first appt to give estimate without even trying to reschedule. We had to call again to get another date after he was out for the holidays for a week. Came out after another week and said he would call with an estimate. Two weeks later no call. Will not be bothering again.

This is a great company! The technicians are knowledgeable, hard-working, and courteous. I had an electrical emergency and called them solely based on their yellow pages ad. They arrived when they said they would, estimated the cost for repairs, and returned to do the job - on time! No surprises, great workmanship - even in the harshest of weather. I had them return at a later date to do an oil tank replacement, and again, I was completely satisfied and impressed with the pride they take in doing a professional job. Call these people first - they treat you like family!

Great company! Quality work at a reasonable price. Had them do it all. Plumbing electrical and my heating/cooling system. They will be my first call from now on!

Called for a backflow inspection and to have my bathroom remodeled. What a nice professional company. Prompt efficient and go above and beyond to please the customer! Highly recommend and will call them for future work as well.

Great company, A couple of months ago my main water line to the house started leaking. House built in 1850. Waterline from the street to the rear of the home. Long driveway, plus an additional concern. We have a shared driveway. Chris and his father found a way re-route the new pipe almost to the front of our home. Very thin cut to the sidewalk and very thin cut and tight to the house for the driveway. I have no idea how they were able to work with pipe through a cut that was just about the same width as the pipe. They also had to cut through a 4ft thick stone/mortar basement wall to bring the new pipe into the basement. These guys did what ever they could to save me on cost and with min damage to the sidewalk and driveway. I had an unrelated problem this week. I called these guys, left a VM. Got a call back within 15min and they came right over. They are now my Go to Company. Hard to find contractors that can be trusted.

Be aware they charge for estimates, make sure you get the price up front.

In my opinion, you should not waste your time contacting these people, all sorts of problems and/or excuses. I hired them to excavate and install a new water supply line from my well to the house. They showed up with their machine, which was a small track hoe (4.5 tons), drove it on my side yard, removed one sidewalk block and said it was too soft to dig and they had to leave. In the mean time, they had disconnected what water that was coming the house, they supposedly reconnected everything which left my house without water. I called back the next day only to be told they could bring in mud mats at an extreme cost or wait until the yard dry and that they could not come back to finish the job for over a week, if then. I contacted a different plumbing company who brought out the same machine who was able to get the job done for cheaper than they quoted. The yard apparently was not to wet for an experienced or knowledgeable track hoe operator. When I contacted them to discuss my deposit, they sent an exaggerated over priced itemization. Again, in my opinion, DO NOT CALL these people.

All sorts of problems with this company , during a bathroom remodel/demolition. They range from using sub par plywood subfloor which was old and had been soaked which causes delimanation and cracked and seemed when you walked on it. They didnt want to install perpendicular supports between floor joists to support sub floor and a section of subfloor framing support wasnt screwed in tight,ready to fall of weight was to be applied. The damaged my wood door, and tried to deny it. Offered nothing to lay down on my carpet to walk on while working. I had to tell them to level the subfloor support, it was pitched badly and it goes on. Totally unprepared, cheap company that only cares about getting paid, not the quality of their work or the materials.

Henry h cook Inc was very professional I had no heat on a very chile Saturday morning Chris came to my house looked at my furnace noticed my ac pipe leaked water onto my main board causing premature failure he replaced my unit same day I was charged theright price for there service. this was great many people try to take advantage of us people not knowing anything. he was a very trusting guy I believe I was charged the right price for the right service. I would totally use them again.

Very fast very courteous was in and out got my problem fixed and even walked around my house making sure everything was in working order.

Friend of mine called them do to high water bill.cooks looked around and said they couldnt find any leaks.billed the poor woman $213 .I went there and found both toilets to be leaking.thats the first place any real plumbing company would look.not to mention you could see the water meter spinning so you know something is leaking.BEWARE
