We used Hightails for the first time to board our senior dog age 12. We are very impressed with the care our dog received there. Leah, the owner, would send text updates about our dog as well as pictures which was a great plus since this is the first time we have had to board him. The staff treat all the dogs as their own and go above and beyond with their care. We would definitely recommend Hightails to anyone and will be using their services again.

Excellent place; won’t board my dog anywhere else except Hightails Hideaway! Our dog Bo is incredibly anxious and has separation anxiety to the nth degree. The staff at HH are unparalleled in their knowledge of dogs, their kindness, and their professionalism. We had a tough time separating from Bo while we were getting ready to go away and the owner, Leigh, and her staff were incredibly compassionate while we sorted out the initial day. After that first day, he settled right in and I received regular communication from Leigh about how Bo was doing, settling in, etc. The pictures and videos were such a welcome treat, giving my family peace of mind while we were away. When we picked him up, he almost seemed reluctant to leave because he was having such a great time there! I can’t thank the staff at HH enough for their wonderful care of our pup!

This is typically a very fine place to bring your dog; however, after one bad experience I will never bring my dog here. I was very upset at how they communicated something very important to a friend of mine about her dog. Instead of making it apparent that they needed something urgently, they put her dog in a room by himself. This dog spent the entire day in a room. That is not what was paid for. When taking your dog to doggy daycare, you expect them to have socialization time! You do not expect them to be in a room, whining and howling all day long. I was heartbroken to hear that this lovable and friendly dog was not given the attention he deserved. When my friend tried to get into contact with the owner, it became a very sketchy situation. The owner did not return calls, nor did they make an effort to make things better. Their voicemail box was full so she could not leave a message either. All my friend wanted was an apology and a refund. The staff did not seem very apologetic and did not give her a refund. If I could give this place 0/5 stars, I would. Their treatment of customers is horrendous and unacceptable.

Since he has NEVER boarded and he is a very reserved dog, we were hesitant about leaving our standard poodle for 8 days. Rocky did not do well the last time we had someone watch him at our house while we were away. My dad recommended Hightails Hideaway, so we tried it. We got updates (and pictures!) during the week, which allowed me to relax. When we picked him up today, Rocky was so happy, not frazzled, and smelled very good! The staff made sure he was eating and drinking and he looks healthy :) Hightails Hideaway exceeded our expectations. We highly recommend Hightails Hideaway: they will take excellent care of your precious pup!

My name is Melissa and we just boarded our rescue French bulldog at hightails during our vacation! We had the best experience and so did our sweet Coco! Our frenchie is very special and requires some special attention and this was our first time leaving her for a long period of time. Leigh, the owner, fostered our sweetie here at hightails but Coco hasn’t been back at the daycare since we got her. It’s been about 6 months or so since she’s been apart of our family. We weren’t sure how she was going to react to us not being around and not being home but she did absolutely amazing!! They made her feel right at home immediately! She settled on just perfectly and was taken care of so well! They treated her just as their own!! It was so comforting when they sent me pictures of her settled in and posted pictures on Facebook of her so we could see how she was doing! I was so nervous leaving her but once I saw how happy and relaxed she was there, I was actually able to relax and enjoy our vacation without ever having to worry about her which was the best feeling in the world! They go above and beyond for every dog that stays there and I wouldn’t be able to trust anyone else with our Coco then them! I highly recommend! They know exactly how to treat and love all different types of dogs and their personalities which is amazing! I love hightails and I can’t thank them enough for caring for our Coco!

My 14 year old Golden Retriever, Heidi, went to Hightails for most of her life. She was loved and cared for by the amazing owner, Leigh Casino, and the rest of the wonderful Hightails staff up until 2 weeks before she died at the end of August when she was too sick to go to her beloved daycare anymore. My Heidi was on a very special diet in the few months before she died, and I never had a moments worry that she wouldn’t be fed correctly, and always got a daily update on how she was eating and what her energy level was like each day. I’ve never had a problem communicating back and forth with Leigh or with any of the staff. They also have outstanding boarding and grooming services.Heidi was always happy and quite literally loved at Hightails. We’ll be going right back to Hightails when my family is ready to get another dog. I wouldn’t go anywhere else!

Hightails Hideaway is AMAZING! My little dog Zoe is a rescue pup, and is very hesitant with new people and different surroundings. I took her to a meet and greet @ Hightails recently and my dog fell in love! The staff is friendly, and the facility itself is super clean! I took Zoe for a couple hours for her to get use to her new dog friends and a new environment. When I came to pick her up, she was one happy pup! On the car ride home she was talking to me about how much fun she had a Hightails Hideaway! A must place for your four legged friends to play or stay for a couple nights

I dont usually take the time to write negative reviews, but I feel this bares warning to others. While clean and generally friendly, this facility has poor communication and zero accountability. If there is any sort of issue, you have to talk to the owner who will NOT return your phone call or email. The employees cannot or will not help you. We started going to HH a few years ago and there was an issue with him getting bitten the first time, but things were fine after that so we didnt make an issue out of it. We continued to go off and on for the next couple years. I took my dog this past week, after not having taken him for a while and nothing was mentioned to me about paperwork being an issue and requiring him to be in solitary all day. Four and a half hours after I dropped him off, I got a call about him needing updated paperwork, so I called the vet and asked them to send it over. I called them a few hours later to make sure everything was ok with the paperwork, and they couldnt find the vets message (it was in an email), so I said Id call again. When I picked him up at 5:30, he was in solitary and I could hear him howling and crying. He is a rescue and cannot be locked up away from others. This was explicitly told to them from the beginning. He was there from 7:45am - 5:30pm with minor breaks to go outside and play. That is not what I paid $30 for and is unacceptable, so I asked for my money back and they have refused. I understand needing paperwork to be current and did take care of it right after they told me, and I would have taken him home if needed. They had AMPLE opportunity to communicate at pickup, the lunch phone call, and the afternoon phone call to tell me that would be the only option. I asked to speak to the owner, Leigh, who never returned that request or my phone call. Today, when I went in, I was told by yet another employee that they couldnt help me and I had to contact the owner. Who never returns phone calls. Her voicemail is also completely full and hangs up on you. I have given them a few days to resolve this, simply asked for a refund, and have been treated like an irrational nitwit. It was mentioned that the employee was new, but that is still not a reason for him to be locked up all day. This is unacceptable. We have ALWAYS had current paperwork, vaccinations, and fecal results. We are not unknowns, we just had not been there for a while. It was suggested to me that if we chose to return, that we should prepare ourselves to pay an extra fee for another meet and greet, since he had not been there for a while. So, I guess their resolution is telling me to pay extra money for a service I will never again use. I would never entrust my dog to this facility; they used to be great, but have gone completely downhill. The way they treated my dog and myself is unacceptable, and they are unwilling to make any sort of refund or amends. My husband and I own our own small business, and we would never treat customers that way.
