I legitimately cannot wear a mask. It would have been nice to know masks are required and medical exemptions are not accepted at the time the appointment was made. I have gone to them about every other year for a while now, and this was my first bad experience. If you cannot wear a mask, this is not the eye doctor for you.

I’ve gone to Doctor Foust a few times, and I’m just not impressed. He isnt very approachable, every question I ask if it isn’t specific to the exam (such as my eyes are blurry when I do this) he seems to be very inconvenienced, I’ve asked questions about my frames and then this last time I went I asked about contacts, and he started saying “you’d have to get fit for them, we don’t just do that, so on and so forth” he just came off as rude to me. I know that contacts aren’t something you just get overnight. I was trying to look into getting the process started. But he just came off as rude. Also my first few appointments were their last one of the day (at like 5/5:30) which was not my decision, they scheduled me... and I was very rushed in picking on my frames, so I started requesting only times after lunch and a couple hours before close so that the staff wouldn’t be inconvenienced... we all make our own decisions, and this doctor might me perfect for you, this is just how I personally felt.

Dr. Foust does a thorough eye exam. I can’t say much for the place they send your frames to in order to fill your prescription lenses. I was told it would be 2-3 weeks. At 3 weeks I was told they didn’t pass inspection so they had to remake the lenses. Going to be 4 weeks tomorrow and still not ready. These have to be paid for at time of ordering. Not too happy with the long wait.

Dr. Foust is a skilled doctor who answered all of our questions and provided excellent, thorough exams. His staff is very professional, adept, and patient (especially with teens who can sometimes take forever to select a pair of glasses). Because I had another doctor prescribe eye glasses when my children really didnt need them, I trust Dr. Foust who had enough integrity to tell me that I dont need glasses for my aging eyes -- not yet anyway!

Dr. Foust is professional and friendly. He made me aware of an eye health issue and the reason for it. His staff is wonderful and helped get my family in quickly to use our eye care insurance in the time frame we needed. Their office is spacious and comfortable. They have a great selection of glasses too.

I have been going to this doctor for years, however the service has always been average. The staff is really not helpful. The doctor does not really listen to you. However I continued to be their customer until today. I needed an extra contact because my last one was popping out and I needed a trial pair immediately. I’m a flight attendant and was leaving for a work trip the following morning. The staff said they didn’t have my brand which is ok. I said just give me my prescription in any brand as I’m desperate and need to see. They would not even try to accommodate me and were rude about it. Many of my friends have ceased going to this doctor and have switched. I never did because it’s so much trouble to start over with another doctor. However after the treatment I received today I will never go back. There are many more options in Bartlesville. I encourage anyone to not waste their time here. I’m so disappointed.

I like Dr. Foust and his staff, but this is the second time that my glasses prescription has been correct for the lenses but feels absolutely horrible to wear. If its so bad it hurts, Im not going to wear them enough to train my eyes to get used to them. There is something wrong! Now I have to wait another week just to get a prescription check, and another 2 weeks to get a replacement lens.

I had my first personal experience with eye wear here, and I would like to share my experience.TLDR: front staff is a bit rough. Everyone else is cool. Research what you buy.Scheduling the appointment was supes easy. I just called up and said I would like one appointment please. I would have liked to have done it online, but it was not bad. When I got there is when the problems began to arise. I brought my bike inside like I do whenever a doctors office does not have a bike rack, and the lady at the front desk made a fuss. I got my paperwork, and noticed some issues with the privacy policy. I brought these issues up to the lady, and she basically said it was not her problem, and she has never read the policy so she does not care. O.oThe lady that took me back was really nice and patient. I have not been to an eye doctor in a long time (15+ years) so I was nervous. She explained what she was doing and why.The doctor was okay. I think he might have been tired since he was the only doctor I saw and it was the end of the day. He was not overly friendly, but also was not rude. He got the job done and showed me what it was like to read something without correction and with correction. It made a difference. I told him I work at at a computer all day and night and he helped me out. He also used a mild dilation thing since he knew I was biking home. The eyeglass nurse sales lady (I am sorry I do not know your title) was really patient. As I said I have never needed corrective wear and there are so many choices. I must have done 66 loops around that office trying all sorts of things on. Finally I called reinforcements in. The lady showed me a pair because she had been paying attention to what I had said I liked. They were perfect. They were $28 over what my insurance would pay, but I loved them. The problem arose with some vapor wear that I bought for $40, I was told that it would help with blue light (since I was worried about my sleeping patterns) and looking at a screen. After researching it, I can tell it is just vapor wear that does not actually do anything. Oh well, live and learn.Would I recommend? Yeah. Would I return? Probably not this year, but maybe next year.
