My experience with Fox Valley Orthopedics was efficient and thorough. How I wish every doctor experience would be!Care was taken to direct me to the most appropriate doctor at the most convenient location. I was taken on time, had X-rays and saw the doctor within minutes unlike the long waiting times I have experienced in other local practices. Dr. Seeds was knowledgeable and succinctly told me my next steps. My prescription was called in promptly and MRI approval requested immediately. Subsequent appointments were easily and quickly scheduled.Couldn’t be more pleased with my experience!!

Dr. Matteini is my favorite doctor in the entire world! She has performed two surgeries on me in the past. I now need a third and there is no one else I’d rather elect for the job! She is great with patients, explains the situation and procedures, and really takes the time to make sure you’re comfortable and informed. I highly recommend her!

I was totally pleased with my experiences at FoxValley Orthopedics and the treatment coordinated by Dr Seeds. He explained my situation to me concisely and in a manner I totally understood.

They will scam you with the billing. I went to the office twice in one week paid a $40 copay each time with my credit card and then received a bill for $40 because they said I did not pay the second co-pay. BS so I had to do their job and send in my bank statement to an un- secure e-mail address to prove I paid both co-pays. Double check your bills they don’t care they just want your money.

Everyone I met was courteous and professional. X-ray operator Bree is swift and skillful. Doctor Savino is personable and he explains well.

In spite of having some computer issues on the day of my appt.(everyone knows how difficult that is) , the staff was kind, efficient and friendly. They provided the service I needed in a timely manner. These people know what theyre doing.

I saw Dr Seeds for some knee issues I was having. Everyone was very friendly and courteous from when first walking in until I left. After a quick X-ray he was able to immediately assess what was the issue and give me a thorough explanation of the prognosis and a treatment plan that fit my needs. He took the time to answer any questions I had and was very helpful overall. I’d recommend anyone to Dr Seeds as he did a phenomenal job and was prompt and I was in and out within 25 minutes but never felt rushed or like I didn’t get adequate time seeing the doctor!

Took my child to Dr. Seeds for multiple visits between September 2018 and January 2019. Every appointment felt like the Dr. had somewhere else he would rather be, with him practically running out the exam room door less than 5 minutes after he arrived. One appointment left me following him out to the desk to attempt to get questions answered. Would not recommend.Separately, had the front clerk/billing lose a payment I made via credit card because they charged it to the wrong account. Thankfully I had cc statements to prove their error. On top of that received a bill for 2 appointments my son had after we changed insurance carriers in December, again the billing dept. was inept, ran wrong insurance numbers through (how?!) and tried to charge me for full fees. After again calling to have this corrected, was told they would re-run the insurance and to disregard the current bill. Received NOTHING for 6 months when suddenly I have an angry red Final Notice bill in my mail - they never sent me a corrected bill to pay after running the insurance properly.Do not go here, completely worthless in all departments.

I have taken my kids to the Algonquin location and never had any problems. I always paid the price of the visit. I went to the Barrington location for an office visit and xray and they made me pay $300 (Im self pay) before they would see me. My bill is only $165 and I had to call and ask for a refund and it takes 4-6 weeks. If I wouldnt have called who knows if I would have ever gotten my money back. Completely ridiculous!

Great group of doctors. I had 4 back surgeries and 2 knee replacements, and every surgery was good. Thank you Dr. Perlmutter.

Before even being able to be seen while trying to set up my appointment. The receptionist DORI hung up on me twice and was very rude. As well as talked over me the entire time continuing to be rude. Never made it there after initial experience would never go to this place.

First time at the Barrington office, but Dr. Seeds did the surgical repair if my ankle last year. Everyone is very professional and courteous, and I was promptly brought in for X-rays and to see the doctor. He is extremely knowledgeable and took the time to answer my questions without rushing me out the door. Dr Seeds and the staff are first rate!!

My experience with Dr. Savino was absolutely WONDERFUL. He answered all my questions and explained everything to me in a way I could understand it. After I saw Dr. Savino I stopped by Melissa and she was just great! She has a heart of gold and she does everything she can with proceeding with the next step of care. She is very intelligent and knows her job extremely well. I was very impressed with this office.

Dr. Savino was very thorough in educating me about my neck issue and treatment, showing me pamphlets, pictures and x-rays to help me understand. Im a teacher so I really appreciated his teaching approach, as I like to know as many details as possible to help me understand.

I, too, am bewildered by the two 1-star reviews because my experience has been above and beyond, and I also traveled out of my way to use this practice when another excellent surgeon is only 4 blocks from my house.Dr. Savino was very specific in outlining the surgery I would need and left no surprises. I was able to book a surgery with him (total knee replacement) for only 2 weeks after my office visit!Yes, I did have to wait a bit longer than 15 min. Big deal. I brought a book and chilled in their spacious waiting room. I always feel that if a doctor is a bit behind its most likely because he was busier with his patient load, taking time to articulate to each individual their condition, and what treatment might entail. Now to me, THATS an outstanding MD. Office staff terrific too! Katy, you rock

Great doctor First visit no nonsense

Dr Alpert is great to work. Took care of my shoulder surgery without any complications , He said 3 months of therapy and I would be back to work and I am! Highly recommend him.

Dr. Savino is special. He is caring and knowledgeable. Highly recommended.

I saw Dr. Alpert for a second opinion on pain in my left knee. The first ortho doc recommended a scope to “clean things up”. So glad I had a second opinion with Dr. Alpert. His PA said a scope would not be appropriate according to what she was seeing on the MRI (ordered by previous doc) and x-rays (taken today at MBJI). Knee is arthritic - almost bone on bone - so there was nothing there to “clean up”. Dr. Alpert concurred, so until I have to have my knee replaced I will do injections, pt, use a brace...anything to prolong the inevitable. I am grateful that they did x-rays to really see everything before jumping into surgery with the first doctor. I appreciate the conservative approach to my treatment. I’ll continue to see Dr. Alpert in the future regarding this issue.

I have been under Dr. Savino’s care for several things for a couple of decades now and I find Dr. Savino absolutely wonderful. I love people that are straight to the point and tell you exactly what is going on and that is Dr. Savino to the tee. I also love how he never gives you the feeling that he is rushing to his next patient, he always takes his time to explain things and also provides you with the time to ask him things as needed. The facility is always in top condition and the staff is always extremely helpful and professional. Seeing how most people come here for some relatively serious issues it amazes me how comfortable and at ease the experience always is. Great job everyone, you truly make peoples lives better in many ways.

Dr Savino is my husbands and my dr. for anything and all ortho related. He has the greatest personality, sense of humor and bedside manner of any Dr I have ever had and to top it off, the mist knowledgeable. Midwest Bone and Joint Institute is wonderful. I came in (with an MRI in hand) for an opinion on a herniated disc protruding into my Sciatic nerve root. I was in a lot of pain and wanted to make the right decision overall for the best long term solution. Dr. Anthony Savino reviewed my MRI and with a great bedside manner, we discussed the options for treatment. I went in to the weekend with the mind set of shot and therapy, but Sunday morning I woke up and could not move at all without extreme pain. We called the office on Monday morning and Dr. Savinos assistant Melissa, got me the first appointment available to see the Dr again. During my office visit, Dr. Savino did his evaluation and it was clear that surgery was necessary as I had partial paralysis in my left leg. I was in a lot of pain and scared of what was going to happen. Melissa was very diligent in getting the paperwork together with insurance and the hospital which made the situation much less stressful. Two days later I had lumbar discectomy surgery as an outpatient procedure. After surgery, Dr told me that there were four pieces of protrusion against the nerve, that the disc had ruptured, and it was fortunate that the situation got resolved as soon as it did. My recovery has gone very well, and I just got cleared to start therapy, and pick up my 4 month old daughter (with a brace) just in time for Fathers day. Every situation is different, and every patient has different circumstances, but the main things to focus on is: 1) Dr. Anthony Savino is very good at what he does, has a great bed side manner, and compassion 2) Melissa, and all the staff at Midwest Bone and Joint Institute, are great and work very hard to get people the care and relief they need.

The nurses and the other staff were nice, but my doctor showed little to no interest in my pain. Very arrogant to the point where he gave me a shot in my hip, where I didnt need it, and ended up hurting me more than before I saw him. My back still hurts and now I have pain going down my leg. 2 months of PT down the drain. Thanks for all your help.

I first saw the PA and Dr. Alpert came in to discuss the xrays and my options. He is very through and straight to the point. I was also in and out the office with in 45 mins and that included the Xrays. Office staff was also very friendly and courteous

I was surprised to read the other two reviewers, as my experience was totally different than theirs.Dr. Gitelis rebuilt my knee over three surgeries; injuries resulting from a pedestrian vs. truck accident.I never waited more than ten minutes, and never felt rushed. Dr. Gitelis is a talented surgeon and better read than most surgeons I have encountered. My knee is nearly at a pre-accident state and I have resumed my previous activities.His staff is courteous and helpful. The office is clean and comfortable.BTW, I live in Chicago near Rush Orthopedics (a nationally renowned ortho center) and I drive 30 miles to see Dr. G. That speaks volumes for his care.

The first time I went, I waited 30 minutes in the waiting room past my given appointment time, which was 3:00. They gave me an X-ray, and I waited another hour for Dr. Gitelis, who saw me and was done in 5 minutes. It seems like he gave me an incorrect diagnosis as well. The second time I went back, I waited 20 minutes before I asked how much longer it would be, and the receptionist said I had two people in front of me. Overall, not a great experience.

Doctor was in a hurry, didnt get a chance to ask questions. Staff was rude when asked about paperwork that needed to be filled out.
