This Dr is associated with OptumRx. This is the Dr that reviewed my case to get a Dexcom CGM. I need a CGM because my previous one with Medtronic had a $4,000 deductible that even the nurse with the insurance said I would be unable to meet. Ive been diabetic for 28+ years and check my sugar 2-4 times a day. Reasons I was denied? Im apparently not knowledgeable with CGMs (even though Ive had one), do not meet the criteria (guess Im not diabetic enough?), And am not participating in ongoing education and support with the insurance company. (Even though I talk to the case nurse with my insurance about my health plan and diabetes.) I am filing an appeal, I just wanted to put a review on this specific Dr because I feel like they are wrong.
