I started seeing Doctor Garg several years ago, when he was with North Shore in Lincolnwood. He and I share views on both science and healthy lifestyle pathways to good health and longevity. I felt SO fortunate to have a wonderful doctor like him right in my area! I have seen quite a few over the years. To me, a doctor needs to be truly invested in your health... as a partner. Thats difficult to find. He is hands down the most caring physician Ive ever had! Hes never too busy to help, or listen... and doesnt stop until he has good recommendations, or solutions for you. Although I dont live near Barrington, Im strongly considering making the drive so I can keep Dr. G. as my primary doctor. I highly recommend him, AND already have!

I have known Dr.Garg since 2005. We missed him very much when he moved to downtown area. Very glad to have him back in the suburbs. The most adorable quality of Dr.Garg is that he is a great listener and makes you feel very comfortable. His approach to overall wellbeing of his patients is praise worthy.

I was Dr. Gargs patient for years till he moved to Lincolnwood area.what an amazing doctor. it was our privilege to have him as my Doctor. Never had to wait for him in cubicles always was one to one and never rushes you out of clinic. Never found another doctor like him. He is a blessing to have him as a Doctor. Highly recommended.

He listens patient, try to understand you and very co operative , once I had problem. And he sacrificed his lunch and set my appointment instead of after five days.

Dr. Garg is a most wonderful physician, who is patient, reassuring, encouraging, not on a drug company’s incentive program and is truly caring. He is a wonderful human being and has been very helpful.

Dr Ashwani Garg is my pcp since 2005. He is the best md me and my family ever have. He listens to his patients and is very detailed with ones care which only a few doctors does nowadays. I feel genuine concern and compassion when I and my husband sees him for a check-up.

Update:. After moving to Florida, my first primary care doctor took one look at me and knew something was wrong. Though my sed rate was very high under Dr gargs care, my new primary care started to get to the bottom of my issues. Once I got in with a good rheumatologist, I found out I have 2 autoimmune disorders, and probably Fibromyalgia. My sed rate was high when I was in the hospital one time, but I dont know there was ever addressed. Dr Garg had been telling me to go vegan and cut out dairy from my diet as well. I got in touch with him later to tell him about my diagnosis, which at that time was just RA (It has been clarified, and I have Spondylitis and Sjogrens.). Please, if a doctor tells you to change your diet that drastically, do not do it without the assistance of a nutritionist. It can be very dangerous to your health. Unfortunately many doctors believe if you just change your diet, you can get rid of or control your autoimmune disease. If that were true, we would all be changing our diet and we would all be cured. Dr Garg took care of me for a good 10 years, but towards the end, I think he started not looking anymore, and chalking it up to he hadnt found anything so it couldnt be anything. I moved when I was overweight from all of the steroids the neurosurgeon had me taking for my back, and I was overweight and could barely stand and barely walk. After my move to Florida, as I said, the first time I went into my new doctor, she knew right off blood work needed to be done.I was very surprised, because I had always trusted him, and for the most part he was a very good doctor, but I think after a while he gave up looking. Not all diseases can be fixed by diet.Dr. Garg has been my primary care physician for about 10 years. You will never find a more knowledgeable, caring, and dedicated doctor. He is always learning and passes his knowledge to help you improve your health. He takes his own calls, fits you in when you need to be seen. He doesnt over prescribe, and will offer alternative health care if you are interested.
