We did the 14 day Stay and Train for our 8 month Goldendoodle! Winslow has great manners and is such a calmer dog now. He does not jump on people or bark at others. He is such a pleasure to walk. No more pulling on the leash. Winslow does not bark at others like he use to. He can also do the place command for over 30 minutes now. Our guy has gained a lot of confidence from training with Nick and Lauren. They were super responsive with ALL my questions. The couple were so personable and I felt very comfortable talking them. I truly think the training is well worth the the value. Package even comes with follow ups sessions. We HIGHLY recommend ChicagoLand Dog Training.

If you are looking for a fantastic dog trainer, look no further! After doing extensive research, I decided to go with ChicagoLand Dog Training and I could not be happier with my decision. My dog Cleo, on the left in the picture, was very reactive towards other dogs on our walks and had horrible leash manners. I was desperate for help and was feeling hopeless that I would never get her under control. Within a few lessons, she was acting like a completely different dog on our walks. We got her to walk next to other dogs in a calm manner, something that never happened before training. When we got our pup, we needed help with some overly playful behavior around our small children. We wanted them to be safe, but also wanted Koko to play the right way. Because of the pandemic, we couldn’t do consistent training, so they spent 2 hours on the phone with me, talking things through, offering tips and ideas to try to ensure the adoption was successful. Over a year later, I can say, it was an incredible help—we still use the advice. I’m forever grateful to them!

Nick and Lauren saved us from putting our dog up for adoption. We brought a Bichon Frise puppy into our already busy home last Christmas. With four kids under 9 years old, the puppy’s behavior was a major stressor that we didn’t fully appreciate until he arrived. What Nick and Lauren taught us, very quickly, was that the problem was not with the dog, but in how we were managing the dog. They solved our potty-training issues over the phone before we even met them for our first training session. They then rapidly taught us some basic commands that immediately added some control back to our lives. With some easy-to-follow instructions, we realized we could be in control of the situation, and as we gained control we began to love our little puppy so much more. Nick and Lauren are AMAZING! We are so happy we were able to work with them. They are extremely thorough and patient, and you can tell they love what they do. We sent our wild, crazy and full-of-energy Aussiedoodle puppy to their Stay and Train, and it truly was the best experience. They taught her how to properly walk on a leash, how to focus with distractions, and most importantly how to behave in the house— just to name a few! ChicagoLand Dog Training is the best! Nick and Lauren did such a great job with our dog! Finn is a rescue mixed breed, probably part Heeler, Border collie or Australian shepherd. He’s 2 years old and the last few years were rough because he’s a very anxious dog with a lot of energy. We just completed the 10 week training program with @chicagolanddogtraining , and the difference from before and after is tremendous! Last year when I took him to one of my husband’s softball games, he was horrible...he wouldn’t let anyone pet him, he was afraid of bikes and scooters that would go by on the path. He was afraid to walk by the busy street. He also would freak out sitting by the baseball field, and he had to be on a harness because he was hard to control. I took him last night to the same field for the first time post training, and he was near perfect! He was great on leash (no harness needed), he was by my side the entire time with no pulling, didn’t even flinch when bikes went by, he went right up to friends and let them pet him. A WORLD of difference! Thank you again for helping to build his confidence and obedience! The training was seriously worth every penny just for the confidence part alone.

I only have wonderful things to say about ChicagoLand Dog Training and Nick and Lauren. They are seriously amazing people doing phenomenal work with dogs. We sent our rescue dog Eugene to them for the 2 week board & train to work through some bad behaviors. When he came back he was so much more manageable. He has manners now! Nick & Laurens working with Eugene & teaching us seriously changed our lives. We already loved Eugene but we love him even more now that we can communicate with him and keep working on his skills! We were worried that sending Eugene to training would ruin his quirky personality - training didnt do that - it actually allows us to enjoy him more now that his issues are more controlled. Another great thing is that after the 2 week board & train, Nick & Lauren do four follow up sessions to see how your dog is progressing and teach the owners things as well! Also, Eugene finished his training about 5 months ago, but I know that if I have any questions or concerns at all I can always reach out to Nick and he will support us and offer advice. One thing that was evident through the entire process was how much Nick cares for dogs. I felt like he loved Eugene from the start and I had no hesitation about leaving Eugene in his care for 2 weeks. Seriously I cannot recommend Nick, Lauren, & ChicagoLand Dog Training enough!

Nick is incredible at what he does! I started with their puppy program and then did 14 day stay and train program. After two weeks he transformed my pup Gus into such a polite boy. Im so glad to have made the investment in proper training as it has done wonders for our household. Nick and Lauren treated Gus like their own which made me know he was in such great care. Even now after finishing training they are always a phone call away with any questions I have. I cannot speak more highly of their program and how dedicated/passionate they are to training dogs.

Nick and Lauren have been so impressive throughout the training experience(s) for both of my dogs. They go above and beyond to be consistently available to answer any and all questions-day or night. They are responsive in an unusually timely manner and have never made me feel judged or criticized (and I have made plenty of mistakes). Nick began training our German Shepherd Dog Kalani when she was 5 months old. She is now 9 months old and walks politely on a leash, knows all basic obedience commands, and is a great companion. We are constantly being complemented by friends, family, and strangers about her demeanor and level of training. We have boarded Kalani with Nick, and are very comfortable doing so..Nick is great with dogs, is very knowledgeable, and teaches owners how to communicate with their dog. He is always receptive to questions, and was able to resolve any issue that arose during training..We highly recommend Nick and Chicagoland Dog Training.

Nick has been working with my 6 month old French Bulldog, Nico since he was 12 weeks old. Nick has done an incredible job with not only training Nico, but training me as well. The training that Nick and Lauren provided to my family and our 6 month old puppy last year was invaluable. We would have paid double the price for the Stay and Train program. Yes, that’s right - double the price!I was pregnant when we our beloved schnauzer of 14 years passed away. We immediately found a new schnauzer to welcome to our family. Without hesitation, we knew we wanted to send our new puppy to training so i began researching trainers and programs. A family friend referred to us Chicagoland Dog Training. I spoke with other trainers and did countless hours of research. Chicagoland Dog Training was hands down the best. The Stay and Train program was unique. The additional trainings included in the program were very valuable. The trainers are a phone call away to help with any issues after the program ends. Your pup comes home after a few weeks able to do many commands. Then the hard work begins...you have to be trained. The trainers were so helpful along the way and still check in with us.At the end of the 14 day stay and train program, our pup came home almost potty trained, able to stay in his place, sit, hold down stay, leave things alone on command, and able to walk on my right side. Walking on my right side...yes, this was very important as i was pregnant and knew i would have to walk the puppy while pushing the stroller as my husband travels for work 80% of the time. You don’t want a do running in front of the stroller and switching sides. This technique seems small and insignificant however it was one of the most useful things the trainers taught our pup and us. The place command is also invaluable. I put the pup in his place while the baby is playing on the floor or eating. If your are expecting a baby and are welcoming a new puppy to the family, you must do the stay and train program. You will not regret it. Our pup actually stayed with nick and Lauren while i gave birth to our baby. They provided techniques that helped us introduce the new baby to the puppy. The pup and baby are best friends.The trainers trained our pup and US! The training is invaluable and we would do it again in a heart beat. I highly recommend nick and Lauren! I cannot say enough good things about our experience.

My wife and I cannot thank Nick enough for all of his help and hard work. He definitely saved my marriage. My wife and I adopted Toby last year and have had every issue you can think of. I have worked with multiple trainers and nothing seemed to work. My marriage was starting to suffer because of it. When I contacted Nick he made me feel so much more confident that things would get resolved. I did have my doubts though since one trainer told us there’s nothing else that could be done and we should just learn to live with his issues. I was a little apprehensive sending my Golden Retriever away for 2 weeks. 1st, because our home wouldnt be the same without him and 2nd, I was worried hed come back a different dog. I mean different as in his disposition and personality. He didnt! He was the same Buster I knew but better and calmer.We reached out to Nick at Chicagoland Dog Training because Buster was very aggressive toward other dogs other then our own. And, because of that my wife had a difficult time taking him for a walk. He wouldnt listen to her. After Nick spent the 2 weeks with him, my wife took Buster for a walk and she nearly cried because Buster listened to her commands. Nick worked with us to show us how to use the commands in a simplified way. Since then, weve taken Buster on walks with other dogs and hes done great. His behavior at home is just as great.Nicks knowledge of dog behavior is outstanding. I couldnt recommend Nick and Chicagoland Dog Training more.

I can’t speak highly enough about how incredible of a job Nick and Lauren do. There is a night and day difference in our dog’s behavior and we couldn’t be more satisfied. I was admittedly skeptical that the skills and obedience our puppy learned at ChicagoLand Dog Training would be a challenge to transfer over once we took him home - I couldn’t have been more wrong. Nick gave us an in-depth training as we picked our puppy up and we still have additional private lessons still to come. Our puppy went from their suburban house and big yard to our small city condo and was just as well-behaved. Nick is the bomb! I came to Nick with observed behavioral issues in my rescued 4 legged friend, Luke. After a short interview with Nick he took Luke for an hour over the next couple days to assess his behaviour trying to recreate certain moments. Nick explained that Luke, for one, has fear aggression and here is how we are going to help him! With Nicks wealth of knowledge and experience he put together a training plan for Luke and for me. Over the course of the sessions I saw a huge change in Lukes behaviour. Luke, started looking at me for commands and signals as to what I wanted to do next. Luke, wanted to please and responded extremely well to just praise. Nick helped me realize what Lukes love language was and how to use it. Nick left Luke and I with a foundation that has enabled Luke and I to continue learn.

My wife and I cannot thank Nick and Chicagoland Dog training enough for all of their help and expertise. At first I was very skeptical as we have been through a couple of trainers already and have seen no results. After meeting with Nick one time I was blown away with his knowledge. I am so incredibly lucky for finding Chicagoland dog training! Nick you rock and I can’t thank you enough for your amazing work with our little baby Tucker! We now can enjoy him the way we intended to and it is such a great feeling! Taking Tucker out with the baby and the stroller has been a dream come true. My husband and I tried Petco and another trainer and could not get the results we needed. Every trainer we worked with did not take the time to show us what we needed to do and just focused on training the dog. Nick doesn’t just train your dog he trains your whole family and most of all has amazing patience. He does not make you feel like you’re an idiot like other experiences I’ve had in the past with trainers. Nick also is not watching his watch the whole time and rushing. I have to give it up to Nick for all of his hard work and dedication in training our 3 year old Mix Molly! I am so thrilled that we found Chicagoland Dog training! The second I met Nick at our consultation I was blown away by his passion and his incredible knowledge in behavioral modification. We we’re not able to take Molly on walks, daycare etc. She was very territorial and due to the lack of socialization she built up a fear towards other dogs. My wife and I moved to Chicago from New Orleans a few months ago. We have a Basset Hound - Heathcliff - who was used to having a big backyard and roaming pretty much free. Basset hounds are notoriously hard to train and stubborn. My wife found Nick and Chicagoland Dog Training through word of mouth and many awesome reviews.Heathcliff is a new dog. He sits, stays, walks on a leash, will wait to go further on his walk, and goes to his place. Prior to training, Heathcliff would totally ignore us. Nick took a puppy I referred to as “Jake the Mistake “ and made him a welcome member of the family. He trained us along with Jake, and we have a sweet lively boy.

Our charcoal Labrador, Murphy, is always the best behaved dog in any group thanks to Nick. The reason we chose Chicagoland dog training (when they were in Charleston) is because of their 2 week in-home training program. Unlike other dog trainers, who want to teach you how to train your dog, Nick spends at an hour everyday for 2 weeks working 1-on-1 with your dog. We tried the “train the trainer” technique with other trainers, with limited success. We are not professional dog trainers. We signed up for the 2 week training session and Nick came to our home everyday for 2 weeks to work alone with Murphy and then spent time showing us what they worked on so we could reinforce. Murphy learned how to walk on and off leash, how to sit, how to stay, and how to behave in crowds. Nick even took her to Petsmart to have her practice around other dogs and people in a big store. We then went on to certify her as a Canine Good Citizen.After our training was complete, we started to board murphy with Nick whenever we went away. We could tell that he continued to train her when she was with him by her new and improved responses to our commands. She will now drop any item from her mouth immediately, a huge feat for a lab!We completely trust Nick to take care of Murphy and will miss him in Charleston. Last year, she was with him during a hurricane and we knew he’d take her with him if they needed to evacuate.My husband and I highly recommend Chicagoland dog training and Nick. Murphy loves him and we love him. We will totally miss him.
