The campground offered all the necessary hook- ups and the owner was very nice. Unfortunately, the pull-through RV sites were way too close for my liking. They were also very muddy.

Owner is bipolor.First visit: showed up middle of the night. Owner is wide awake and friendly but seemed manic. Told us he was giving us a great level tent site and showed us to it. Made it very clear not to park on the grass and then left us alone. The site ended un being noisy. Not sure if it was bugs or electric wires or what but it was an unbearable buzzing noise. We went here for the wifi. We were given an old password so we were not able to use it. We never complained. We quietly set up our tent, went to sleep and left the next morning.Second visit: It was daytime and we wanted to look at the sites. We were slowly driving through and the owner rudely stopped us with an uhm. Can I help you with a very unwelcome look on his face. We told him we were just going to drive through and check the place out. He replies NO and shakes his head. We are confused so we try to explain further that we just want to look at the sites. He says no driving through. We do not attempt further conversation with him as it is clear that this is not the place for us.Be sure to look at the other 1 star reviews before deciding to stay here.

This is our second visit to the Lazy Lions Campground and both times we have loved it. We have a 42 fifth wheel and two vehicles. Plenty of space in front and behind for parking. The last park we were at was terrible (low voltage & late night partying) and its been such a relief to come here and enjoy this beautiful campground. Lots of trees, green grass and its so quiet, clean, everything works perfectly (power, water, sewer). The owner Steve is very friendly and helpful! The location is great with everything you need just minutes away. Absolutely love this place and will always stop when in the area. Highly recommend, and thank you Steve!!

This is not your average private RV park. It is nestled in the woods with nice size sites. The customers are quiet and there to enjoy camping. We could not see the bathrooms due to COVID but the campground is great. I would suggest this place to anyone.

Traveling in a 38 foot coach we stayed 4 nights in a site for big rigs. This is an adult only park. This park is well maintained with beautiful landscaping. The park is definitely going for the green look which is why all sites consist of grass. The owner’s are very protective of this grass, so the rules state no rugs, mats or anything that might harm the grass. Otherwise, we would have used our screen tent which would have been nice protection from all the mosquitoes living in the grass. Instead, we were only able to sit outside for short periods of time before the swarms of mosquitoes drove us inside. Dog owner’s beware there are rules about where you can walk your dog. No dogs allowed near the office and the owner’s home, they will mark this area on the park map. But that still leaves plenty of areas where you can walk your dog. Mostly long term residents here, but all sites are clean and well maintained. No satellite reception too many large trees. This park is located in a quiet area so if you’re looking for quiet and no kids, this is the place for you.

Beautifully kept privately owned RV Park 11,200 feet up in the mountains near Barre VT. Gravel driveway is a little bumpy, but grass and gravel sites are level and meticulously kept. Pet- friendly. Moderately priced ( for Vermont in high season). Good WiFi and cellular signal (T-Mobile). Quiet and woodsy. Small above-ground pool. Fee for use of showers in bath house.

I havent actually been the the campground yet (and dont intend to) so I can only speak to my experience with the customer service over the phone. I picked this campground to tent camp for a weekend last October because it was close to an event that I wanted to go to. However, a couple days before we were supposed to go both my husband and I got very sick and decided to cancel. We were totally expecting to lose our money but the campground owners allowed us to move reservation, and although they were condescending about it, we were grateful. I called at the beginning of the summer and booked our two night stay for a weekend in July. It is now a few days before and it looks like there will be thunderstorms the whole weekend. We only have a tent and although we dont mind camping in the rain we dont want to risk a storm or lightning. When I called to change the reservation the guy I talked to was rude and judgemental. He said that they never actually made us a reservation so there was nothing to cancel. And then he said for the future you should know that most campgrounds require two weeks cancellation so if rain is a concern for you maybe you should stop camping or buy a trailer or something. I have plenty of camping experience and only two weeks ago we stayed at a beautiful campground in New Hampshire which has a policy that if you need to cancel due to bad weather you can reschedule without any fee or penalty. We wont be wasting our money on places like Lazy Lions in the future.

This was a perfect little campground geared toward adults. NO KIDS, God bless them, but we adults need our time as well. We rented a nice lean-to that was screened in. NI BUGS. Very clean, nice fire pit, available firewood, free WiFi, coin operated washer and dryer available, kitchen sink available to wash cookware, showers and bathrooms are kept clean, on grounds general store. Attendants are very nice and accommodating. Close to events in the area. Would have no issues to stay here again.

While it was very lovely, I think it comes with some cons. The prices were very reasonable. The other comments regarding checkin, grass and dog “regulations” and kind of an overbearing management comes with the campsite! Would we go again? Yes, as long as you know what to expect. :)

This campground is quaint, very well kept, clean with very cozy grassy sites. All the little touches have been remembered, including solar lights at every site so getting from the camper to the bathroom at night is not an exercise in temporary blindness as it is at so many campgrounds. Nice proprietor--friendly and overflowing with information. Will return.

If you love feeling unwelcome in a place where you pay a lot of money to stay for a few nights, this is the place for you. The owner was extremely rude and pessimistic, kept reminding us that tent sites maxed out 7 days (only on the third day while we wanted to extend another night) This doesnt include the 25 cent for 4 minute shower (most expensive one yet). Please do yourself a favor and go to other wonderful campgrounds around. Lazy lions is nothing but a waste of your money and peace of mind. Bad juju on the owners end made this a crappy experience.
