This was a beautiful place to workout in. Five stars. Unfortunately i think the new owner of several years ago didnt understand the economics this Fitness business now this wonderful Institution is out of business. I was a member there for 12 years and all of a sudden my yearly membership cost about doubled. So I like many others were forced to go elsewhere. What a shame. The owner that purchased it should have known the cash flow before buying it at the sell price he did so he would know whether the sale price was proper. Why else would prices raise so much so quickly without any remodeling being done . I hope somebody buys it and keeps it a fitness center, hopefully the owner didnt liquidate all the equipment yet. Personally I think the place just needed a minor facelift and it would have made a big difference in membership, for example just some fresh paint, do away with the Superman theme, updated lighting, full co-ed ( eliminate female segregation). Basically modern lighting and paint, not expensive to do and would have made it much more attractive and have made a difference. Just need a little work in the right direction. Basic Marketing. A fresh updated look would have paid for itself.

Overall would rate the gym 2.5 Stars currently. Several treadmills inoperable. Bathroom facilities are in Decline. Membership rates and methods of payment are no longer economical. Ownership needs to get a better feel for membership concerns. Lack of leadership behind the counter. Former 2-year member now enrolled around the corner on 2nd Street. Would like to see better rates for Barberton residents just not city of Barberton employees who dont live here anyway. Would like to see the gym get back to its roots and maybe I would return as a member someday.

My all time favorite gym! Multiple rooms, tons of equipment, even a room with heavy bags and a speed bag! I definitely recommend this gym!

Not enough can be said about this place. For an average cost of a gym membership, you get access to a TON of equipment, a pretty aesthetically pleasing place to be, and the gym isnt (to my experience) crowded. If you ever need any supplements, they offer a pretty decent general selection there like protein and pre-workout supplements. Best gym in the area, open, good hours, and a very helpful staff.

Very nice facility a lot of equipment and never crowded . Al the owner did a nice job with this property and kept architecture in tact keeping in tune with the community. I pay for a year at a time up front which is the best deal I think. A plus for Barberton and the workout community!

When I first went to the gym, I was greeted by warm & friendly faces. The gym is very beautiful inside, has many options to get well & healthy physically and spiritually. It was very clean and organized. Some of the staff, I am still friends with. The problem I had was when exactly the membership ended. I signed up for a year which costs around $43 per month. I thought the membership ended after that year that I signed up for. But, it does not end, it carries over. I was unaware of this. I contacted them by phone explaining my situation, the girl at the desk who answered was very nice and forwarded my message to Bethany who is the manager there. Bethany responded back promptly the next day. She canceled my account, but could not refund the money for the month paid outside of the one year agreement. They had no problem waiving the 30 day written notice, but could not refund the money even though I will not be using the month, nor even visiting the grounds. I explained this, their reply was, They do not care if the money spent is used or not. I could tell Bethany was getting frustrated with me over the phone due to the comment, I am not being rude. Either way, whether I get a refund or not, I encourage all who attend this gym, read the fine print and ask questions before signing up on a membership. Make sure you have a clear understanding of what you will pay prior to any agreement. The people there are awesome, the gym was awesome, but a little mishap like this on my part & others can make a difference in your experience. Would I recommend people there? Yes& No, yes because it is a great place, no because if you do not fully understand what you are doing with your money spending it there, you will be out that money and just have to deal with the loss.

WAY to expensive for a confusing membership and RUDE staff. Its bad enough every time i went there, it smelled of gym socks - every time. There is no daycare facility or spa/sauna/pool area. The perk tanning salon within is a joke. Tried tanning multiple times at their max time and nothing. But the debit to my account, AFTER my membership was over and the RUDE way i was treated by the staff was the last straw.
