The people that run the ER desk are rude and have no respect for anyone and there always on their phones doing nothing but the nurses and doctors on level 3 are extremely nice and helpfull

The woman at the front desk was so unbelievably rude that I walked out immediately and went to a much better hospital. I cannot believe the person they hired to be the first person that a patient would see when they come in sick and scared about their health.

Was in the er early morning (5am) intake nurses were extremely rude. I was a prehospital nurse for 17 years. I know what certain looks mean. I wanted to leave immediately. The xray tec was super sweet and friendly. The other two could learn a thing or two from her.

Biggest joke of an er 35 mins sitting in a room while having an asthma attack, With no breathing treatments nothing! My monitor was going off saying my breathing levels were at 85 and high heart rate anyone come in? Anyone do something? No!!!!

I got left in a room for 8 hours after being brought via ambulance from my doctors office. Just complete lack of care. I wouldn’t recommend coming here unless you want to die. Shout out to the CT tech being the only competent person in the building.

Went late in the evening about 8 o’clock , I explained to the doctor that my foot was swollen and I was in massive amounts of pain . He took some X-rays and said nothing was broken and sent me home . I drove straight to Cleveland clinic and they looked at my foot and right away determined that I had a bacterial infection and that I needed antibiotics . My foot was so swollen and thinning that I couldn’t sleep . Thankfully Cleveland clinic’s doctor was able to help me .

What you get here is a 110% competent staff. Not family friendly. Each nurse/doctor tells you something else. Nothing but lies. Me and my family wish we would of seen the bad reviews before having our mom transported here last night. One nurse says your mom is in stable condition to 5 seconds later having another nurse say shes far from stable. Very young staff that doesnt act like they know their job or even care. Me and my family felt so much better once Cleveland clinic got there to transport her. So much more professionalism and care. I have nothing not one positive thing to say about Barberton ER. I gave one star but they fall below that. Me and my family hate the unprofessional care they have our mom and how we were treated.

Have came here more than once and have always been treated wonderfully! The staff members are very compassionate and genuinely want you to feel better, also offered me a heated blanket.

I’m really really upset with this emergency facilities. I wish I will never have to be here again. What is the meaning of emergency some of the staff need to know the meaning of emergency. we are not coming there to spend our time, we want a best care of our health. If you don’t know how to care the emergency patients than please go work the place where you find, who don’t need any care and you just chill out there and if you don’t know how to take care the patients than please stop that job try to find the job that where you can work With you ability, Waiting more than hours in room and no one can come to concerned about patients. Even they saw bleeding just leave patients naked and come back after hours, bring bandages and keep on tables but again lost for hour. Finally he trying to put bandage but again not clean the wounds lots of dry bloods around it and need to remind him to clean and also dont know how to put bandages, if I know only that much to do for bleeding to stoped than sure I can do that at my house better than him but I don’t know before I thought hospital is better place to do it but I’m really feeling so bad for that kind a care getting from some of the hospital doctor or nurse. what kind a person working in this department just for money or time pass for them but hospital is place where we feel hope to stay alive but from today’s emergency care I feel like this place is just to earn money from patients not to provide the care. I’m not blaming everyone but some who are doing there job without knowing it well is better go find the others job where you can fit but don’t try to show you are doctor or nurse for everyone and show your poor manner to others. Emergency hospitals needs to hired more and more good doctors and nurse to take care of many patients.

I was recently at the ER. Had excellent care! All the nurses were so kind. Did not have to wait long.

We were able to get in in less than ten minutes. Staff were courteous and efficient and diagnosed a serious health issue relatively quickly, providing temporary pain relief and a long term prognosis on the same morning. They made a difficult situation easier to handle, and ultimately provided the care we need to get back on our feet.

I love this ER!!!!! The people here are so friendly and nice! It’s like you are apart of the family when you step in! I will always go here! Thank you guys so much

The staffing here are very rude! We were here late at night and they are focused on filling out charts than taking care of my dad. Also the rooms are very unclean. There was dirty gloves on the floor, stains on the sheet other people’s hair, and in the spot where they put the needles it was covered in blood.

Fast and friendly service when my appendix ruptured. So thankful they caught it before it got worse. Best nurses and staff!

The wait time to be seen here is absolutely ridiculous. My husband came in by ambulance and has been sitting in the waiting room for 2 hours already. The people ahead of us have been waiting for 3. Being emergency services you would think they would have quick turn arounds.

If you have loved ones that need emergency services, please seek proper medical care at Akron General or literally anywhere else! I was treated very rudely for coming here multiple times during some true health scares and was told I was “abusing the emergency room”! Meanwhile I am laying in my bed In so much pain with a heart rate of 125! They told me it was just all anxiety. Now I am visiting a heart specialist and a nephrologist due to my health issues. Absolutely horrible. Please avoid this place!

The people in the emergency room are really good.But if they want to admit you, do not stay there.Go to summa hospital in Akron.

The nursing staff were genuinely concerned and great bedside manners.

Came here with adominal pain told them exactly how much pain i was in and where it was hurting. The doctor literally pushed pushed on my stomach made the pain worse then was like oh u have the stomach bug. No studies nothing no ct scan to make sure it wasnt my apendix or gallbladder. Im no doctor but i know they should of done a ct scan never coming to this hospital ever again.

On may 2nd after two extremely painful days I was able to see my family doctor who intern sent me to Barberton Emergency Room diagnosed with kidney stones, blood in my urine, with extreme pain!!! (I had passed one that day but had never before had them)I was made to wait in the waiting area for 1 hour 45 min,while waiting I passed a second stone in the waiting area restroom! After finally getting called back John the nurse was very understanding of the situation, and immediately put IV in also administered medicine John apologized for the wait!I was sent to a cat scan, then returned to my room. Thirty minutes later Dr Wang comes in and informs me no stones left and he would have me on my way home in 10 minutes! still had blood in urine and abdominal pain! No explanation on anything at all! This trip was the first time I have been to emergency room in over 10 years, I only went this time because of my family doctor asked me to go, and I hope never to go to Barberton emergency room again!!!

Worst experience I have ever had. I will never come back here ever again... nurses dont know how to do their jobs!
