Dr. Wells is a terrific doctor and Ive had nothing but good experiences with her. When meeting to discuss medical issues Ive had, she listens to all my concerns and gives great suggestions and advice all with current medical research. I have MS and Ive met with many doctors that have pushed me to have procedures or take medication when I knew that wasnt good for me. In my most recent visit with Dr. Wells, I did not feel that way at all. She was well versed in my medical history and knew I was hesitant to medication. She talked with me through our options and we came to a good plan. Its gone great as I feel much better. Dr. Wells is a very skilled doctor who never brags about making mistakes. When we met she mentioned that others had success and I felt confident in our plan. Shes a knowledgeable and well-respected doctor and I highly recommend her.

Dr. Wells saved me painful hemorrhoid surgery with her amazing in-office technique. She was professional and always concerned about my pain and comfort. One of the things I liked best about her is that she is very knowledgeable in her field and absolutely straight forward about what was going on in our visit and with my health. She was on time and extremely caring. She is my first choice for a surgeon I. Our area.

Have seen this doctor for numerous procedures over the years, most recently a Cesarean section. She exemplifies professionalism and practices cutting edge surgical knowledge and skill in her practice, ensuring pain management and minimal scarring. Because of my confidence in her skill, I have sent several family members to her care as well. If you are looking for a phenomenal surgeon who is on the cutting edge of surgical practice as well as a caring provider, Dr. Wells is the place to go.

Dr Wells is very nice and very caring, but she is also very unskilled. Her techniques were learned in Med school and she has not kept up. Medicine evolves rapidly and Dr Wells has not bothered to keep up. She means no harm, but certainly does harm. She disfigures her patients because she does not know the current standards of care. Go to her with great caution. Use her only to stabilize you and transfer you to a different facility. Her medicine is not current.

I had a very bad experience with Dr Kristen Wells, general surgeon, at SSM Health in Baraboo. She disfigured my body badly and left massive scarring. After the surgery, she bragged and boasted to me that she has made many mistakes and hurt many people but has never been sued. Our community deserves better than this woman. Wells told me she has 60 ce for my type of surgery with hands on cutting cadavers. I woke up screaming during the procedure at least once – I remember it. The Nurse Anesthetist notes indicate I woke up many times during the procedure crying and that she was following the anesthesia protocol supplied by Wells. SSM health Baraboo does not have an Anesthetist doctor on staff, only an RN not a DR. The RN does what the Dr directs, but was uncomfortable enough to make notes about it. Wells needs to be supervised; she should not be the supervisor. It is absolutely obscene that SSM Health runs the Baraboo hospital without proper staff and incompetent, scrupleless doctors like Wells who are proud of the fact that she can harm people with impunity. My body is permanently disfigured by this woman. If you have been harmed by this doctor please reach out to me and let me know. It takes three people to make a class action suit. Maybe together we can make a change for the better. If everything happens for a reason, perhaps it is to direct me to push for better health care for our community. Doctors like Wells need to be stopped.
