This hospice is not the hospice of old. Once in it, although they say the plan is fluid, it is not. When it becomes too much for one person instead of transferring the person to a facility, they tell you to hire help and recommend Agrace at home which is more expensive, has a 2 hour minimum and took over a week to start up. My Mother was gone in 36 hours. I was forced to cause her pain and last days included long and painful nights that probably could have been mitigated with skilled help.I realize they are probably understaffed but when your loved one is dying you dont need to hear that you are on your own.

The staff at Agrace are wonderful. The evaluation team far exceeded my family’s expectations. The care, dignity and approach Agrace uses to assist families is amazing. My father was so well cared for at home, but when the care he needed became too much, and the anxiety of having to move him to a facility was overwhelming - we turned to Agrace. It truly was like moving him into a relaxing, family thriving environment. Not only does Agrace treats their residents with the utmost care and compassion, they also treated us (the family) with sincere concern and respect. It was very comforting. Thank you to everyone who touched our lives during my Fathers stay. We are grateful. Sue
