Very poor experience. I went in to get a couple inches cut off of my hair which was a few inches below my chin, and left with 4 inches off and it was super uneven. The stylist went right in cutting and didn’t look back. I also had asked for her to dry and straighten my hair but she didn’t dry it enough and in turn fried some of it. The environment was also poor, it was quite messy and another stylist kept yelling at the speaker to change the music. I thought this was going to be really simple and easy but I just left uncomfortable and unhappy with the result.

Awesome little shop with a welcoming atmosphere. Jenny gave me a sexy ,short cut with beautiful blonde hi lites. Prices are lower than some other places in Bangor, but you dont sacrifice quality . Looking forward to going back soon.

I have been getting my lash extensions with Julie for two years now and have referred probably 40 other people to go to her. Julie stays up to date on the latest most modern techniques and uses quality NOVA lash products. Everyone asks me where I get them done and can’t believe the price! Julie is hands down the most affordable for the highest quality anywhere in the area! Highly recommended! Plus she’s super nice💜

I go in very excited to get my hair done I show her pictures of how I want it cut how I want it thinned and colored….. I wanted just a little bit lighter than my hair some layers and to thin it I’m coming it half blonde and orange my hair was not thinned at all she didn’t cut it and when she did it look like a mullet short in front long in back I paid $90

I absolutely love downtown beauty bar. I’ve been going here for a year for my lashes. Julie is amazing. She’s very nice, caring, funny and takes her time to do her best work. I ALWAYS refer anyone looking for lashes to her. She’s great! Also, Jenny’s been doing my hair. She’s AMAZING! I came in with horrible looking hair that I needed fix. Jenny did exactly what I pictured and more. Definitely recommend anyone and everyone to give it a try!

Had a poor experience, but my hair was clean and cut nicely, and they got me in on a days notice. My stylist was distracted during my cut and gave me a different style then I felt like I had shown her.

I got a great haircut here by Cindy! She paid attention to detail and made sure the length/layers were just right. She also made sure it was right for my face shape. I have gotten haircuts at practically every salon in Portland and none of them have been this good. I would say this is the best cut I have ever had! Thank you!

Lack of professional accountability for stylists to service clients. I scheduled an appointment and was not told the stylist had the week off and the rest of the staff played dumb and I was out my time. Twice Ive been rescheduled last minute with out consideration for the time Ive taken out of my day.

Because I’m a teen of the 70’s thin thin thin eyebrows were the rage. As a senior of the 20’s my actions left me with very few eyebrowsJulie to the rescue!!!! She did an amazing job microblading the most perfect brows!Julie is very skilled and professional when doing this process. She is patient, funny and talks you through every step.If your eyebrows are balding then I would highly recommend Downtown Beauty Bar and Julie!

I spoke to the manger and I guess it was resolved In Theory the issue I had with them, I can’t delete this because of my phone, but it took a really long time to get in contact with anyone to talk about it in the first place and they were nice enough to listen.

If you’ve been thinking of getting eyelash extensions, you have to go to Julie! She was so welcoming and made the whole experience fun and exciting. I love my lashes and I honestly can’t wait for my next appointment!

I got eyelash extensions for the first time with Julie. Her prices are excellent for extensions compared to other locations in and around Bangor. Julie was amazing. She walked me through what she was doing so I was comfortable. She was also very down to earth and friendly. I HIGHLY recommend her! I will definitely be continuing to see her.
