Dr Shon is a brilliant surgeonNo pain just discomfort on the interposition surgery and incredible results . I am coming back to him to do my other foot . In addition , dr shon spend exhaustive time with you examining your foot and in recovery appointments . I have a great amount of gratitude and appreciation for Dr. Schon. My left foot had several medical issues to include a flat foot deformity and arthritis. When I first met Dr. Schon, I was in constant pain, which made performing daily activities very difficult to impossible. As soon as he examined my foot, he knew exactly what had to be done. He explained the procedures to be performed on my foot very well and he always took the time to answer my many questions. It is with great pleasure that I share my experience with Dr. Schon. Ive been a patient since April 2018, initially came to see him for a foot condition that was tied to some Arthrosis pain associated with a previous foot surgery in 2016 that another Physician performed. An implant was placed in my big toe to help alleviate the pain, and that Dr. also performed bunioneictomies on both of my feet. I still had lingering pain several months later where the implant was placed, even with multiple laser treatments. I decided to seek a 2nd opinion with Dr. Schon. He came highly recommended to me by a trusted family friend that is a local Orthopedic Surgeon. During my first visit Dr Schon spent a great deal of time with me gathering background, reviewing my surgical notes and X-rays. He is known for not jumping to surgical solutions immediately, so I began with a variation of some B Vitamins that he felt would ameliorate the persistent nerve pain that was occurring in spite of the toe implant. After a few weeks I noticed improvement and was able to stop taking a prescription pain medication that I was on! I went to see him for a new foot problem in June 2019 that he felt was tied to loss of bone around the area where pain was coming from and he suggested prescription strength Vitamin D for 12 weeks and then 3000 IU over the counter Vitamin D daily for maintenance. My pain no longer exists, I am so happy and at my recent June 2020 follow-up visit, the x-rays showed total healing in the area where bone loss had previously been. Even Dr Schon was blown away! I am thankful that Dr Schon had some out of the box ideas, did NOT urge me to have surgery and now I am back to running and power walking! Thank you, Dr. Schon!

Dr. Schon did a total ankle joint replacement after I had 2 separate ankle fusions. I havent felt better than now for the past 35 years. I highly recommend him.

Greetings,In the late spring of 2015 I was blessed to be referred to Dr.Lew Schon. Beginning in 2012 I have been plagued with severe bilateral foot issues that resulted in infection and initial emergency surgery. Fortunately fortitude, family caregivers, and my will to continue a productive life all combined to allow my recovery over a year later. Sadly as I was regaining my momentum, my left foot developed an even more serious ailment, developed infection, and caused my general health profile to suffer again. A very respected mutual friend, observing my health decline and surmising it was related to my foot due to my wearing a “stabilizer boot” for months suggested Dr. Lew Schon mentioning his world renowned expertise. Reading this narrative may lead one to believe my general health profile was compromised by diabetes, age, or other health problems.
