They cancelled 4 out of the 8 swim classes my children were suppose to attend. Twice the classes were cancelled when we were already down there. I asked for a refund for the cancelled classes instead of a credit - due to not being a member of the Y (which means I had to pay more money for the classes). I received a refund for one classes but have not received for the other three. I have been in contact with the swim director but he has provided minimal help. I want to further my children’s lesson but I will not choose the Y and would not recommend.

Convenient and clean. Pool is too small, but at least it is easy to get a lane! I like the ability to visit most YMCAs across the country with my membership here.

The employees call me all the time when theyre any cancellations or issues that affect the classes I take. They greet me by name when I attended classes, and always have a kind greeting for me and always want to know how my classes or my day was it like having an extended family.

This gym is clean and comfortable. I enjoy working out here, the staff greets you courteously and is extremely helpful. If you need anything they are quick to assist. It is a very pleasant place to exercise. I heartily recommend this gym.

The equipment is great, it’s never too crowded for how intimate a place it is. I have yet to take an exercise class, but walking by, they all look interactive and fun. The staff is kind. They aren’t always easily accessible, but I go later in the evening so I understand. I wish this location was open longer hours, specifically earlier on the weekends. The parking is never crazy, I’m always able to park right in front of the building. Thanks Druid Hill Y for being great!

Over the years, even if intermittently, I have always loved exercising at the Druid Hill Y. The staff is friendly and helpful. The renovations are refreshing. If you have not visited the Y in a while you should stop in for a tour. Will invite my friends to join me.

Location is accessible and clean; prices are more reasonable than other locations (probably because of the location); and, the people are amazingly warm and will help anyone. Typical inner city parking but the entire experience erases any disquietude. The best part....they positively contribute to an unbalanced part of the city. Best, much needed location in B-more, imo.

I will continue to go to 33rd street. This location is not what I expected at all. Sadly we live in the area yet we have to drive to another location in order to enjoy ourselves. No yoga classes, bathrooms/locker rooms are horrible, the front desk staff couldn’t answer any questions I needed answers to. This establishment needs to be upgraded and have training sessions for their employees. At 33rd I know the staff by names, it’s always clean, the environment is just way better.

I love the Y on Druid Hill. My children attend their after school program that consists of martial arts, swimming, a computer class, and homework help. They always have great community events. Not to mention free summer camp. The staff areawesome!!!

Group ex classes are good but the room need to be updated. Floor not clean ac not effective and ceiling leaked during classes....but the instructors endured. Otherwise a good club. Great for the community.

The staff is is super nice and helpful. I’ve spoken to Fern several times this week and she’s answered every question I’ve had. I did the FitQuest fitness assessment with Andre and he made the process easy breezy. I have a feeling I’ll have similar interactions with other staff. Also, the brand new cardio equipment is awesome. I’m really glad my husband and I joined the Y.

The Y in Druid Hill is a clean, up-to-date facility that I frequently visit to lift free weights and use cardio equipment. Its seldom crowded but other guests are friendly. The staff is extraordinarily friendly, courteous, helpful, and diligent. The facility also has an interesting history as its where eminent African-Americans from Baltimore such as Thurgood Marshall and Cab Calloway learned to swim.

I just moved into the neighborhood and started attending this Y fairly recently. You can sign up online or in person. The staff are friendly and there are a TON of weight machines and free weights and a good selection of cardio equipment. They have these really nice video cycling machines and good treadmills and ellipticals. It is also a good price, im glad I joined! I have not used the pool but people seem to be enjoying it when I walk by. The place is clean. BONUS: there is a parking lot immediately across the street and there is usually street parking. The whole place gives me a good vibe. Usually I feel intimidated in gyms especially around the weights but I really like then layout of the machines, they are fashioned in a way that you have your own space to work out.

The place was very nice starting off til some gang members told me I had to pay $5 to play ball an that Sharon is the enforcer of that an I yelled three a window, I am a member , Im suppose to have that access already.12-1-17 . This was the gym I grew up in. . Dru hill is a gang members gym, being ran by Sharon on drive hill ymca. No wonder a blackman cant own stuff due to people like Sharon over the ymca on dru hill. Wheres the extra money going to thats being charge by gang members an forced by Sharon, broke machines an much more.
