I was told over the phone that I would be able to make appointment with doctor on temporary medi-cal meanwhile my application went through. I get there and social worker tells me no & that I need to wait 30-40 days. A pregnant woman is just not supposed to receive OB care while she is waiting for approval? This was just such an awful & rude experience. I left and called another clinic and they were extremely helpful & said I can absolutely get temporary Medi-cal meanwhile my application is approved so that I won’t fall behind on my OB care. I heard great things about Dr. Barajas & front office staff was a pleasure but because of this social worker I will definitely not be back, not even when my Medi-cal is approved.
