I was diagnosed with CIDP. And lost the feeling in my legs from the knees down, the feeling in my hands and also had my vocal cords affected. Terrified with how I was going live or just get by, I had no idea what to expect.But my stay at Encompass was uplifting. Encompass is a great place to recover & learn to live life again. The therapy side is awesome! My occupational therapist Carmen taught me how to do day to day living activities. While Jerry the physical therapist taught me how to move and get around.The hospital side while under staffed and over worked, helped me to overcome the mental challenges. The CNAs helped with my fear of now being completely dependent on others for things such as moving sheets off my feet to wiping and cleaning me after bowl movements. Aside from the therapy side, the medical staff also encouraged my recovery.Over all my stay at Encompass was amazing. Friendly staff, good food, clean facility & encouraged therapy made me wish I had more time than the 3 hours of therapy a day. I definitely recommend Encompass for anyone that needs advanced and aggressive physical therapy6

RN never came check on my father to rotate him on the bed..lady name Kim RN can be little rude.but I do want to give a high five to a CNA name Esperanza she was good CNA and very nice on top of everything of my dad and the family.case manager was very nice and very helpful to me and family.

If this was the same place called health south they were very good and helpful to me in 2015 when I first had my stroke.

Nice staff. They answered all my questions. The overall place & building is welcoming, well designed and accommodating. Parking lot could be bigger though.

Anyone know where Dr. Bradfords new office went to? I went to my app the other day and entire office was empty - even the computers and chairs - even equipment GONE.. no trace and no sign on the door.

Not a fan but some staff has been nice. The biggest issue I have with the place is the parking, hands down the worst parking lot in the entire county.

I appreciate encompass health and the progress I made during my stay. Amazing people. I did give some a hard time I had trouble using my call light I’m use to being independent. Unfortunately i cut my stay short due to 1 nurse Amy for her rude and ignorant comment. The stares I got when she walked passed my room. I Did not appreciate being talked about in her conversation I heard her. It’s always that one nurse. My ot and pt were amazing. They all were genuine and nurturing couldn’t have asked for a better rehab facility. Because of MY NURSES AND OT/PT i made a lot of progress for having 2 strokes. They listened to me , gave well feedback taught me ways to exercise at home. Cheered me on. I hope they know How Much they are appreciated. Jordan , cristal , annwanet , Stephanie, yoon , and many more I didn’t catch there name . Not Amy She Really Offended me to where I left the best place. Hope she knows I’m handicap I’m not slow . I didn’t appreciate being talked to like I was.

My wife has been treated at Health South which is now Encompass Health. The first time she was sent there from the hospital and she improved dramatically from the start. The staff is most impressive. The doctor, nurses and assistants are professionals. More than that, they are compassionate, caring, and encourage and uplift the patients. Then there is the physical therapy staff. Each patients debility is addressed by a physical therapist that specializes in area. My wife blossomed under their care and instruction. She has been there five times now and prospered greatly with each stay. I cant say enough about how Encompass Health has made her life better and more productive by making her stronger and more capable. The highest compliment I can pay Encompass Health is to encourage you to use this fantastic rehabilitation hospital.

This rehab hospital has been the worst experience for our mother suffering a stroke and family dealing with the reprocussions. In just two weeks they went from okay to terrible. All of our family members have been hung up on multiple times when trying to get phone calls through to our mother. Trying to keep her hopes and spirits up during the Covid 19 epidemic. She is isolated and not recieving the care they are getting paid for. They call us telling us to tell our mother to turn on her side because she is developing bed sores. This is a rehab facility? As soon as they saw her progress was minimal and slow they seemed to have stopped putting forth the effort. The doctors, nurses, and case workers fail to return phone calls in a timely manner. I fear her progress has haulted because of thier inability to perform thier basic duties for which they are being paid for, which are not cheap. We cant wait to get her out of thier care.I would highly recommend finding other options for your loved ones health care.

How a moment changes things...I originally got on here to rate the wonderful customer service my mom was receiving from the staff here. Then I witnessed something that...well just left a bad taste in my mouth. My mothers roommate was brought back to the room after physical therapy, by the therapist, she scooted her to her bed and asked her to hold on a moment. After 30-40 minutes (three cartoon episodes) I could hear a small scoot and realized no one had assisted this women back into her bed and she was trying to use what strength she had left to get to the nurses button(SHE HAD NO ACCESS TO A NURSES BUTTON) I go over to assist, she just wanted me to help her hit the call button. The nurse comes in we advised the situation, no apology or Empathy for that matters just a oh I need assistance and a leave after 13 minutes of waiting for a return I am on fire, so I walk out to calm... Before doing so I ask my mom to hit the call button.I see a nurse or two, ignore the call button I can hear clearly going off. There is a male nurse who is assisting someone else. Comes out to give the nurse behind the counter the can you get that eye goes back in finishes up with his person only to go in and assist what is now my MOTHERS nurses call. taking about another 10 minutes or so..My mother asked I leave because well..we both know my anger.What a difference a moment makes...HOW DISAPPOINTING.

I spent two months in rehabilitation here at Encompass Health recovering from tumors in my spine and other issues. The doctors and staff took a personal interest in my recovery. The PT was amazing! Hats off to you Rohda! Your never quit and positive attitude helped me make it home. I am forever grateful. Dan was amazing too. All of the CNAs went above and beyond to make my stay as accommodating as possible. The food was good too. I highly recommend this facility should you ever need rehabilitation. Thank you!

My father was here a few weeks ago. I live 2 hrs away visited my dad weekends. Physical Therapist were all very companionate. Nurses & Staff were always kind and accommodating. My father was absolutely happy during his entire stay, unfortunately due to insurance he was transferred to a local nursing home.

I dont know where the negative reviews come from because I havent had anything but great experiences here. Both my mother and my mother in law have stayed here. The staff is wonderful. Everyone from the cleaning staff to the doctors have been very helpful and pleasant. My mom really liked all the people she came in contact with. My mother in law never had anything but positive things to say either.I hope if you are sent here or visit someone here, that you start with an open mind and make up your own mind.

Clean and the service was great!

My wife was in health south for 12 day knee replacement rehabilitation. The staff was more then outstanding they showed respect and compassion. All the way from case management. The therapy staff are under experienced rookies straight out of college who have very little experience if any. It is evident by the nervousness and anxiety in the staff. They have a very high turnover in staff due to the terrible work conditions and lack of team work between the disciplines there. Most therapy staff are there just to collect a paycheck and have little regard to patient care. The rehabilitation is mundane and lackluster at best due to the lack of knowledge and materials needed for the job. They do not cater treatments to each patient, they treat and implement therapy to each patient the same way regardless. If the patients that do not keep up with treatments they are discharged elsewhere, basically kicked out. This is not client centered or conducive to proper rehabilitation. They are the only rehabilitation in the area so they know they can get away with it. If you value your loved ones, stay clear of this facility.

I was washing my hands after using rest room when nurse I think it was a nurse came in and ask if went per or cava and mid answered I dont have an ear or corn for you.....Then when I refused their services and was checking out they said I hadnt brought meds in from cottage hosp stroke and heart attack patient. Imagine after having surgery no meds . but the oddest thing was they had administered my my meds 2 different times .beware of the blonde nurse with extremely loud southern draw shes on something please anyone wishing information please contact me

RN was so rude. My grandmother was hungry asking her , pleading to please give her some food but she acted as if though not hearing her request. Then an hour later finally giving some cold sandwich that had expired. Luckily I had asked a family to bring food. CNA was pleasant but came in sporadically but overall would not take my grandmother back. Needless to say she only stayed one night.

This is my moms second visit and the facility is great, lots of caring and helpful staff

Five years ago I spent a week there after exiting an ICU in San Luis Obispo followinga serious bike accident resulting in a Traumatic Brain Injury, collapsed lung, and 13 broken bones. My room was next to the nurses’ station, which seemed to be empty every time I looked, whether poking my head out, or returning from the cafeteria and therapy sessions.I am in no hurry to go back and eat mediocre food.

A great place I highly recommend it to anyone who decides to go ! I was there in February of 2015 for two weeks , be prepared to work hard (you do it intill !) and the food was Great the first person to work with me was (Holly Ocampo) and to this day I still remember what she has taught me . Who says the hired help dose not affect you be prepared for a boot camp style of work (it takes as long as it takes !) , I am still recovering and I had my Stroke in 2015 ( never give up ) in closing I will say to this day healthsouth is still apart of me ! take care of yourself if you decide to go . Nice staff but they overdose their patients on pain medicine and dont actually care about how they are doing.

Dr Andersom was terriable he stands in the doorway and talks to you hes so rude and cruel when they changed my friends dressing he didnt want to order the lidocaine spray and it was extremely painfull

The management is extremely rude. All they want is money. They dont care about the patients. Its just insurance scam on a huge level. The nursing staff is great but severly underpaid.

Nurses great, OT and PT great..food hit and miss..Case workers SUCK requested several times in be involved in 85 year old mothers treatment..when your insurance is up your out of there..no notification to family..they dont care if home is safe for patient..was going to send my mom home with 2 fractures to her pelvis with a walker..have granddaughter take her home that is unsafe for her at this time..nothing to hang on to for using toliet or tub..no room in her small apartment for walker..this is the best part they expect her to totally care for herself..Plus shell be on pain meds..find out I was able to get 2 more days from medicare..was setting up to have her go to skilled nursing for about 2 weeks where they had rehab..Healthsouth told her it would make her worse she was better of at home by self..told me same thing..went to a skilled nursing hospital it was nice nothing fancy..but they made me feel so guilty I be staying with mom...no phone calls on what we need for her to me..dont know if home nurses will be coming or what..I have done this three other times once with mom, a mother-n-law and an aunt...this is the worst I have ever dealt with other places were great.

The front desk staff is rude. Some of their nurses are incompetent. The State of California urgently needs to audit this place.

The truth is, my wife was there, but as always, where there are movements, they do not let their patients visit but others they leave them Until they fell asleep at me Bryan never returns the calls.
