Dr Aggarwal and staff give preferential treatment to patients with insurance that have better reimbursement rates than state insurance. Thats why some people have such great encounters with this office. Its all about the money, not the patient.Original post: No one in this office cares about the patients. They care about getting paid while doing as little work as possible. The desk clerks COULD mail new patients packets and requests for medical records before the appointment. The intake nurse COULD read the new patient packet before your appointment. Dr Aggarwal COULD read your chart before your appointment, but that would take some semblance of caring. Why bother being good at your job when the patients have no choice? Die, or be treated like human garbage. Thats Bakersfield medicine.

The girls in the front were great but the doctor was rude and accused me of being on drugs and refused to help me until I did a drug test. He wouldnt make me another appointment even until I went to the lab and he got the results back. I got a different cardiologist and 3 months later aggarwals office called me to schedule an appointment. I have heart disease that wasnt being treated because he wanted to stereotype me. He is lucky I didnt sue him for the way he treated me. If youre sick please dont go to this doctor because he doesnt listen to your concerns and will accuse you of being on drugs especially if you are younger.

I have nothing but good things to say about my first visit. I absolutely loved the staff and the Dr. Not only was he thorough in providing me information, but he made sure I didn’t leave without asking any questions...he always asked if I had any concerns or questions. I would give the staff 0 star or negative if it was the option. My mother got approved by insurance to see the doctor and kept calling the office and kept delay my appointment. After waiting for a while and calling them, they told her go see another cardiologist. No explanation was given. Total rude staff. Will not recommend this doctor to anyone. Lady in referral department is rude and has no manners. She doesnt even know anything about customer service. She made us go back forth about paperwork from primary to them. Did not even tell us what exactly she needs. At last she just said go find another cardiologist. I wasnt even rude with after all this. Im filling a complain against them through health insurance company

I came referred by dignity health after an ER visit caused by by a severe reaction to bystolic. I only met Dr Aggerwal once he he spoke through his assistant at me never to me. Beth medications he prescribed only made the reaction to bystalic worse Each time I was seen by a nurse who would call him to approve medication. I would not recommend this doctor. I was extremely ill from the allergenic reaction to bystalic which left me with heart failure. He had no interest in treating me. Yet her failed to reference me to someone who was capable.

Was very informative and the place was very clean. Did not have to wait very long at all. But it was kind of hard to understand whats the Dr was saying. It was our first trip. But we have to go back and well see how it goes then. But I still think they are very good.

Office team was nice. Dr. Atul was late, rude and insensitive. I was referred to him after a serious sudden event. Doctor told me to take my meds and dont smoke and I would be fine. I told him 2 or 3 times that I dont smoke. Forgot to mention he was in a hurry. After he left the room his assistant stayed to gather the history of my incident. Dr Atul yells from down the hall for her to go with him.

He is absolutely too rushed. He sounded like the Micro Machine man. I waited for 20 minutes for Dr. Aggarwal. He wasn’t in his seat one minute before he excused himself and took a phone call. AND DID NOT LEAVE THE ROOM. Throughout the 15 minutes I spent with him he excused himself twice to text on his phone. I told myself “if he does this again I am walking out.” It’s just rude. I am sure he is charging my insurance an arm and a leg. So will I be going back? Yes for a stress test and then I will find another cardiologist. Very impersonal. Typical doctor talking down to the patient scenario that I’m sure we have all experienced every now and then. Spoke way too fast. It just felt like he tries to see as many people as he can and his service suffers horribly. Again very rushed and impersonal.UPDATE 10/1/2018A few hours after I wrote my initial review Dr. Aggarwal called me to explain why my visit went the way it did. He assured me that he would not bill my insurance for the visit. Low and behold his office billed my insurance $400. I guess at the end of the day it is all about the money with this guy. I will certainly NOT recommend him to anyone I know. He did seem very apologetic and understanding on the phone. But actions speak louder than words in my book.

I was very clear on the phone that I need an EKG. The receptionist told me she can not schedule an EKG without doctors orders. I told her I had doctors orders and she told me to bring them in to the visit. I asked if I could get the EKG on the first visit and she said yes if thats what the doctor says. I drove 3 hours from LA because every place in LA had a 6 week waiting list. I clarified that I needed the EKG done on the first visit and that I was not planning on coming back as I had several appointments in LA coming up. After arriving after driving 3 hours they told me I could not have the EKG done because I didnt fax the doctors orders. The girl on the phone did not tell me to fax anything she just said to come in. Now Im looking at a 4 hour drive home which would have been worth it if I got what I came for. Thanks for nothing. 8 hours of my week wasted because the receptionist doesnt know how to do her job.

Amazing place made me feel comfortable in trying to find out what’s going on with my heart

I’ve been there 2 times for a pericardial cyst discovered in December 2019 and they have given information on everything except the pericardial cyst. I’ve been waiting 3 months for them to review the paperwork that had been faxed to them showing the size and location of the cyst, and somehow they don’t have the paperwork. I’ve stood in my primary cares office 3 separate times while the papers were faxed. The frustration has set in. I’d give them one star but the staff is extremely friendly and the wait time isn’t very long.I’ve never seen or spoke to Dr. aggarwal, only nurse practitioners. They have not made me feel better or confident about the situation at all. They keep telling me they need “the other piece to the puzzle.” They keep scheduling me an appointment a month apart to give me no information when I get there.
