Words cannot express my love and gratitude to the staff of Eagle Crest Villa for the extensive care and compassion for both of my parents. From the director to the administrator, caregivers, the nursing staff, kitchen staff, activities director, maintenance and the family spirit of the residents gave my parents and I the support and quality of life I could find in no other assisted living home. The facility is a warm and comforting atmosphere and the maintenance and upkeep are immaculate. I loved the country feel and the wooded location it sets in. Their mission in life is truly to respect, honor and love the residents while adhering to safety in all respects. The communication to me was always responded to immediately at all times and during hospital bouts, they supported us with whatever we needed. There was never a moment that they werent willing to work with us. I could never have managed without them. Even after the passing of my parents, they are my extended family. Another benefit to my parents living at Eagle Crest that helped me, is the hospital being across the street, and later, the funeral home next door. Even the owner of the florist shop down the street went out of her way during Covid to arrange flowers for us. A great community spirit! I am truly thankful and have not one regret of my choice to place my parents in the caring hands at Eagle Crest Villa. The years they spent there could not have been paralleled.

My mother-in-law has lived here for approximately the past three years. I have nothing but good things to say about the facility and especially the staff. They are all extremely caring people and we have not had to complain about anything since she’s been there. The facility is immaculate and they work very hard keeping it that way. My mother in law has put on weight since she has been there because the food is so good! It’s a difficult situation deciding if your loved one needs to move to a care facility but I am so glad we chose this place, couldn’t ask for a better home for her.

Eagle Crest Villa is a wonderful, caring community. My mom was there for over 6 years. I am so thankful for the love and care that she received. I cannot think of a better place for her to live.

This place was a breath of fresh air. It’s clean, the staff, waited on my granny hand and foot until the day she passed. The nurses took care of us as well. They gave us food, helped us with hospice, gave us so much support. I only wish we found them sooner.

My Mother moved into Eagle Crest Villa two weeks ago and we have been very pleased. It has only been one month since my Dads death and funeral. The staff has been very helpful and accommodating in getting Mother comfortable with her new environment. The residents have been very friendly and accepting. My Mother says that every meal in the dining room has been very enjoyable. She has stated that she really feels at home which means so much to our family. Thank You.

Eagle Crest has been a good match for my mom. She is independent but is comfortable having someone available 24 hrs a day should the need arise. The staff is caring, most are friendly and the nutritionist & chef are willing to listen to the residents regarding menu suggestions. In the year my mom has been there I believe any concern she has had has been addressed when she made it known. This place is safe, clean, comfortable, cheerful and inviting. Thanks to Heather, Jo, Jennifer, and Sherry who are always my go to people.I am grateful for Eagle Crest Villa.

When we voiced the prayer, Lord we could use a little help! Eagle Crest Villa was our answer. Mom has been at Eagle Crest for just over a year. In that time we have made ER visits 5 times, if she had still been on her own 4 of those probably would have been fatal. The staff is like loving caring family. Mom who is 93 and has 80% vision loss goes to play BINGO weekly and everyone around helps her with her numbers. Just one example of the wonderful staff and residents at Eagle Crest. Mom has lung cancer and is now in early stage hospice. The hospice team works with the Eagle Crest staff and mom will stay at Eagle Crest Villa throughout the course of her illness. They are the help we asked for times 10.

Mom was kicked out after two days!!She moved in on Wednesday and Friday at 5:00 the nurse said there were other facilities that had more staff and could meet our needs but theirs did not (this was the very person that did the assessment and said she was a perfect candidate - Level one). She told me by phone at 5:00 Friday that someone from the family would need to come sit with her or hire a 24 hour sitter because she had tried to exit the building and they are not a locked facility.I find this a little strange because the outside door that was nearest my Moms apartment stayed locked - we had to ask a staff member to unlock it so we could move her things in more easily to her apartment. My Mom couldnt walk all the way to the front, so Im not sure how she was trying to exit - also Mom said she was only looking out.The first two days that my Mom was there I received several phone calls - your Mom asked for help to put on her shoes, your Mom got up at 3:00 a.m. and saw people in the dining room that wasnt there, your Mom asked for a shower, your Mom had her grandson go to the front and ask someone to assist with her clothes, and so on. The first non-emergency phone call was at 4:00 am on Thursday morning after she moved in on Wednesday.I felt I had been scammed because I told the director by phone that I didnt know but that my Mom might be too far past an assisted living. She said....let me send my nurse out to do an assessment. The nurse came to the Decatur hospital and did the assessment in my presence. She could plainly see that my Mom needed help getting out of the bed and getting to a standing position, yet still she said she was a perfect candidate.Im writing this review just because I feel like if they have an empty room they will take on the resident regardless because it really doesnt hurt them any....but my Mom was devastated. She wasnt happy about moving out of her home and felt defeated when she had to move again in less than a week.We couldnt move her to a new facility until the following Monday, so from Friday evening to Monday at noon or so, my Mom had to pay a sitter to be with her all the time in her apartment. The staff didnt seem to be very understanding for a new resident and in my opinion was complaining to me by phone about the things my Mom needed help with. The food is really great - the apartments are very nice - and the location was good for us....these are the positives.Make sure your loved one is a good fit before moving them in. I trusted them to determine if she was a good candidate for assisted living, but after moving her in it was very obvious that the other residents were more self-sufficient and would not have needed help getting out of bed.

This place has no compassion for their residents at all! The people who run it should be ashamed of themselves! They are definitely not assisted living friendly at all and should not call themselves assisted living!!
