Went after an invitation from some friends.. Wasnt sure about the post, but was pleasantly surprised. Very nice people and good drinks! Plenty of screens to watch your game and food to go with. (I went on Sun) Will definitely go back and looking forward to it! If youre in the area and can be a guest, I highly recommend it! See you there.

New members. Karaoke night was a blast - there are some really good singers there! The Fish Fry was delicious. Very fun and friendly crowd.

Nice people, great food! A bar and karoake, but lots of smoking inside, its allowed at this establishment, since its a club. But, you can visit and eat here, even if you are not a member.

Great place for veterans to enjoy other veterans and their supporters. Price of food and drinks is well worth it.

I was in the hall for a funeral afterwards to eat & it was hot.

What a cute Legion this was. As always I met some very nice people there. Great management, good teamwork. Very well organized place. Everyone has a hand in keeping this place running. Stress free, lots of love for one another. They all treat you like family. Lots of games to play. Lots of lotteries to play. Franks kitchen is there with awesome specials and great food. Im only sorry that I missed seeing Linda the waitress. She is one awesome lady. Also known is wild red. You go red! Love you long time. Judy

This place is awesome. They have a great deal to rent their Hall for our Christmas party. The event was an amazing success. The patrons here are amazing. Hopefully we can come back again this Christmas to enjoy another festive affair.

Mother in law is a member. They let us have a room for my granddaughters memorial at no cost. The staff was great. Checked in us many times and the manger have me her condolences personally. Plenty of tables and chairs. We couldnt have had a nicer place to honor my granddaughter.

Food is great. Service and non military volunteer doing a lot for school drives, senior citizens functions. American Legion riders do rides, dinners to benefit Veterans, old and new. Visit the Soldiers home bringing donations. The post sponsors Easter lunches and have a Christmas tree for seniors in local nursing homes. We only asked them to write on a card what they would like for Christmas. We do a huge Thanksgiving brunch open to public. Big Christmas party for local kids. These yearly functions are not just for American Legion members. Ages of members is a huge span. Stop in and take a look see.

I love going to the American legion post 61. They are very friendly, drinks a not priced to high compared to other places, and it is very clean. It is a wonderful place for all vets and their spouses to hang out!!

I went there for thanksgiving dinner & it was fantastic. The food they served was great. The people who served the food were kind & it was a joy eating there. May the LORD bless them all.

If you wanna enjoy a great time that doesnt have to start after 9pm, they have Karaoke at 7 on some nights and an amazing steak fry once a month.

I play bingo, here at 6:00 pm every (Tuesday), its alot of fun! Great staffing, they dont have machines, thats why, love playing here! Come play just might, be an winner😊😊😊

We do Easter lunch for Senior Citizens. We do open house for local families for Thanksgiving. Christmas party for kids. Great stuff goes on down here. We do Veterans Home visits. Fund raisers all the time. Food drives. School supply drives. Christmas gift tree for assisted living men and women. Christmas dinner boxes. Complete Christmas dinner boxes. Yep

Allows indoor smoking, which I like but others might not. Gets busy, so sometimes limited seating at the bar. Mostly friendly staff. Of course generally attracts an older crowd. My largest issue is the limited bar seating. Recommend enlarging the bar.

If you want to be a part of an amazing organization by all means join the American Legion. However, if you like your calls to go unanswered and get no response to your emails of introduction then the Palm Valley post is for you. I met members of the post at a table outside Frys on Camelback. The fellas were so friendly. They gave me a contact number and have ignored me since. Find a better post than this one. This is not how my prior post treated me. My father-in-law was a post commander and he said find a good post; he wasnt pleased that this is how this post represents the AL.

Worst experience everBartender wouldnt let us stay with our Auxiliary card. Im an officer at our home post. No officer at this post tonight to dispute this. This is by far my favorite place for a cheap drink, awesome food and better people. You couldnt ask for better staff and the work they do with veterans is absolutely incredible.

We were here for an equastrian tack auction. It was a nice experience just tiik forever to leave if you had purchased anything.

Last Sunday my husband and I were going to stop in. We are both army veterans. I just got back from Germany in July after receiving an honorable discharge for my service and he is in the reserves. We parked in the parking lot and were going to stop in after we looked at a car for sale (in the same parking lot) when a man from inside came out and yelled at us to leave. I tried to say something when he shut the door in my face. I walked around the building, walked inside and told the man we were both veterans and we were going to stop in. He replied So, Leave.Apparently if youre not a 90 year old veteran this place wont allow you in the building. As a former veteran and the current manager of a military 5013c nonprofit I am appalled. This place should be ashamed of themselves. It is disgusting how you treat our current military and former veterans that were looking to join.These people are the rudest most unaccepting veterans I have ever come across.Ill be sure to tell Fisher house, hero helpers, music drives us and Heartillery Group about the time of people in charge of such an establishment.If I could give it no stars I would.Disgraceful.

Went to aAmerican Legion Post on Dysart and Route 85 in Goodyear AZ to retire a old American flag with dignity. Never as a vet have I been treated so poorly! I feel sorryfor their members!
